You’re the bestest! I’m a native NYCer - even though I know a lot about my city I’ve learned so much from you, Tom Delgado! Thank you for your entertaining videos!
Always love your tours & witty commentary Tom 😊 Little Park itself looks nice, but those concrete 'tulips' are godawful! Cheers from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
I have a video request for Bedford Stuyvesant aka Bedstuy. My great grandmother migrated from the south during the great migration in the 1930’s. Her and my great grandfather bought their brownstone there, which my family still owns. I’m curious on the history of that neighborhood especially on the Blacks that migrated there.
BedStuy has a rich history, same with Crown Heights. Did your great-grandparents come up from the Carolinas? Many blacks during that time migrated straight up from the Carolinas.
Don't stare at those hypnosis wheels or you will be stuck in a trance and endlessly watch this video over, and over, and over, and it will rack up millions of views. Very tricky Tom.
Love the tour Tom. You made an error though when mentioning J. Bruce Ismay. He was the managing director of the White Star Line and allegedly was able to sneak on board of one of the lifeboats wearing a woman's bonnet. He was branded a coward by the press. Thomas Andrews was the builder/designer of the Titanic and went down with the ship
Easily the best tours of NYC on RUclips,Tom your the gift that keeps on giving, please do a 1 hour 30 min tour, just imagine all the sick plugs you'd get into that tour
Always fun to see a new video, thanks! I think those tulip things look like high heels. Wow, they really made the most out of those 2 acres. Great tour, thanks again!
*small correction* J. Bruce Ismay was an infamous survivor of the Titanic. He helped finance the Titanic. On the night of the sinking, he made it into a lifeboat when it was expected that gentlemen permit women and children to fill the boats first. He was vilified for surviving and it became known during the inquest into the accident, Ismay wanted fewer lifeboats so passengers could see the ocean more easily AND (possibly) suggested the ship increase speed to arrive in NY earlier than expected. If the ship went slower, they might've missed the berg entirely. Imagine living with that on your shoulders. A Titanic weight. Bm-TSSS. The man last seen looking at the painting was the ship's designer, Thomas Andrews. I'm binging all your videos tours today. Keep up the great work. Liked. Subscribed.
My experience yesterday. There arent lines. I was just there at 3pm and couldn’t get in. You can get in before 12 without a ticket. After noon you need to have a ticket online scan a code. For a time but there aren’t any available for months. When I looked Suggest Go before noon. Or book for the fall for the afternoon. 😊💜. Great videos Tom.
Awesome videos. Pretty solid 😆 love all of the information in various videos about the Irish and that wave of immigration Fascinating stuff. Watching from 🇮🇪
Really great channel man! I have learned so much U.S. history thanks to you. It looks like New York is slowly coming back to normal which is wonderful that park looked packed especially if it was still morning when this was filmed. Keep up the great work!
Love watching your videos of NYC -- my favorite city to visit (4 trips, late 80's - mid 90's). Used to stay at The St. MORITZ at 59th & Central Park So. -- or The Marriott at Columbus Circle -- both gone now. So, Where would you suggest staying now?? Thank you.
That was delightful thank you for educating me on what's happening in New york, like to keep up even though I live in florida. You're so funny. Thanks Lucy good job
I thought I read somewhere that the shape of the concrete foundation was supposed to be abstraction of old sail ships, which as we know Pier 54 was originally where the Titanic was supposed to dock as it was owned by White Star.
For 260 Million Dollars it is remarkably unremarkable. Not „bad“ in any way, just superfluous. Putting money in infrastructure or social programs would have helped the city more. Aside from that, nice work by Lucie and once more some solid facts by Tom.
I agree with you Pierre 100%. I went to New York a few weeks ago and I must say I was partially motivated by Tom and his videos as well as Sarah funky. I was disappointed in this project. I thought it brought really nothing of great interest. Sort of a breakfast letdown !
another great video (and ive now watched them all!). would like to see your take on the major areas you havent yet covered: upper east side, harlem and east harlem
Tom misspoke when he mentioned J. Bruce Ismay. He meant to say, Thomas Andrews, who designed Titanic and was last seen looking at a picture in the Titanic as the ship sank. Ismay, who basically ran the company that owned Titanic (White Star Line), also was on board Titanic but survived in a lifeboat. Andrews' reputation today is golden, while Ismay's is blackened, solely because of their differing fates. Ismay died in 1938 after being vilified by almost everyone, including the families of those that died.
Just one thing to point out: That is NOT an amphiteater, it is a theater. Amphitheaters (i.e. The Colosseum in Rome) had an oval shape and were for gladiators fighting animals and beasts, theaters instead had a semicircular shape and were for fine arts (i.e. singing or acting performances). The Italian in me needed to correct that but I Iove your videos.
Note to all the young ladies. If you show up to a date and the guy asks you to follow him around with a gimbal, he definitely has roommates and you should just skip it.
Though Tom Delgado tries too hard to be cute and funny, his solid erudition of NYC history is most edifying and engaging: in short, this guy knows his stuff (which is more than I can say for a third rate "streamer" like Actionkid, a total amateur living off his new-found, monetized career (as a once) video walker. -- he now enjoys mowing pedestrians down with his high speed scooter, calling them dumb and stupid! See his recent Brooklyn Bridge RUclips video.) Tom Delgado, find him funny or no, has a heart filled with NYC loving erudition which he loves to share! Even as a camera-hugging exhibitionist, he has a lot of historical knowledge to offer! His video on Seneca Village in Central Park blew me away!
"Didn't you do a video on the Meatpacking District"? You've got Lucie well trained for those sick plugs! lol Also, good job on the Flock of Seagulls mention, great band back in the day!
I was there and was very unimpressed. They wasted $260 million. PS: Diane Von Fustenberg married a German Prince. She used to be Princess Von Fustenberg but after the divorce, she had to drop the Princess.
The amphitheater is the only cool thing. We could care less about views and walking and plants. We already have enough of each. Well maybe not so many plants/flowers. But we walk enough already.
You’re the bestest! I’m a native NYCer - even though I know a lot about my city I’ve learned so much from you, Tom Delgado! Thank you for your entertaining videos!
Probably since picnic is the word where picnicker is from, NYC can create NYCkers
2:58 are we going to ignore the blatant hypnotism attempt?
Always love your tours & witty commentary Tom 😊 Little Park itself looks nice, but those concrete 'tulips' are godawful! Cheers from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
Picture quality is excellent. Same goes for your history tour. Thanks for the upload.
Thanks for the Tiptoe Through the Tulips.
Tom’s the gift that keeps on giving!

Yes, that would be a great video. I hope Tom does it💯‼️

@@sloanbanks9531 Yes! They were from Gastonia NC
Nice history facts, good to see not all youtubers only focus on the price of a cup of coffee on the island 🤯
Don't stare at those hypnosis wheels or you will be stuck in a trance and endlessly watch this video over, and over, and over, and it will rack up millions of views. Very tricky Tom.
I'm so glad to see you back !! Right on !
Bring on the sick plugs ! 👍

Wow! You so brilliant at history!!! Awesome!!!

Decided to check out ur videos! Just subscribed to ur channel and it looks pretty cool and really informative!!!
Why hasn't Hollywood discovered Tom yet?
Because Hollywood has Latino bias.
Excellent tour guide, I watched the entire video, thank you so much 😊
Short, sweet and humorous, as usual. 👍🏻😉
Thanks for the video Tom. I do believe Lucie either distracted you or intimidated you though! Cute interaction with her!
Lucie did a great job filming. Idk how she did it with so many people passing by too😭💯
Love your videos Tom !!!!! Keep up the good work !!!!!
A nice little park. I wouldn't mind hanging around there😊👍
Really great channel man! I have learned so much U.S. history thanks to you. It looks like New York is slowly coming back to normal which is wonderful that park looked packed especially if it was still morning when this was filmed. Keep up the great work!

I thought I read somewhere that the shape of the concrete foundation was supposed to be abstraction of old sail ships, which as we know Pier 54 was originally where the Titanic was supposed to dock as it was owned by White Star.

GREAT VID TOM GOOD INFO
another great video (and ive now watched them all!). would like to see your take on the major areas you havent yet covered: upper east side, harlem and east harlem
LOL!!, A Macys ad popped up right after you said "The owners of Macy's died"🤣🤣
Where can I buy one of those baseball caps that has the bill in the back?
Just look backwards in a front facing cap. Great comment, thanks for the laugh.

Thanks very well done like all your work ! Hope diller gives you and your team a job ! Rock on 🤘
Note to all the young ladies. If you show up to a date and the guy asks you to follow him around with a gimbal, he definitely has roommates and you should just skip it.
I don’t know if you mentioned that the Titanic was suppose end it’s voyage at that pier.
At 6:48 the building behind him looks very similar to The Avenger tower lol
hope you'll get more subs to ur chanel. love it😍
Why do the buildings at 8:04 look tilted?
I see this park from my job at the Jane hotel
Hey Tom! How's it going?
This guys good!
God, I wish I was little island!
So I guess Lucy is the brains of the outfit? Just kidding, love your tours, Tom.
It's a bromance. Do city Island, as it were, if you will. I know I'll enjoy that, and I think you will too!. Thanks, Tom. Muchas Gracias.
Yeah, I've been wanting to do City Island!
9:37 “they weren’t sure what it was”
Captain obviously missed that day in Boat 101 where they taught “flairs means someone needs help”....
You didn't give the two videos in the beginning the sick plug treatment.
Por que no hace videos en Español por favor???
Complete WASTE OF MONEY 😳 Thanks for the tour, now I don't need to go. Gracias 🤜🏽🤛🏽
I subscribed and gave thumbs up

Great video, but for $260 million seems like a bit of an overlay
Lucy? What happened to Phil?
"Didn't you do a video on the Meatpacking District"? You've got Lucie well trained for those sick plugs! lol Also, good job on the Flock of Seagulls mention, great band back in the day!
Thank you for giving spoiler alert for the Titanic 😊
Hey what happened to Phil?! Did he get lost never to be found on a walking tour?
making sure everyone at a certain age knows who the barenaked ladies band is so
he doesn't get in trouble
I was there and was very unimpressed. They wasted $260 million.
PS: Diane Von Fustenberg married a German Prince. She used to be Princess Von Fustenberg but after the divorce, she had to drop the Princess.
I'm just here for the sick plugs
