What is ATP (Automatic Train Protection) - An Overview

  • Automatic train protection (ATP) is a type of train protection system which continually checks that the speed of a train is compatible with the permitted speed allowed by signalling. If it is not, ATP activates an emergency brake to stop the train.

      It limits the train speed too 20 km/h

    But it is ETCS L1 LS. Not FS full supervision. There could be something wrong happened at this mode. Also... L1LS... interesting

      No, it’s part of the digital systems program which includes ATP and ETCS, pretty much trying to make Sydney Trains more modern and digitalised.
