If the canned food doesn't puff up on the top or bottom it won't be bad. I opened cans 15 years old and they were fine. As long as no air gets into the can, and it has no dents or punctures, it is safe.

It was so wet today here in NJ. Had to clear out the rest of a storage locker and it was coming down hard.

Even though there may be Expiration dates on canned goods, as long as the can is not rusty, bent, or swollen, the food inside is still good for several years.

When I was trash-pickin' back in the day, I would go out the night before to the neighborhoods that typically had good stuff. Also, another thing I did that helped me be super successful was to make relationships with people on the good streets and let them know that you are collecting unwanted items, and have them call you to pick stuff up. I had a reputation for being respectful of people's property, so I had some really good calls. I picked up 1970s Marantz stereo equipment in perfect shape, all of the original Bob Marley and Rolling Stones Albums, washer & drier combo that was like new, and lots of other items. You have the great character and integrity to pull that off too. People would love to give you things rather than putting them in the trash.

I think you should do the trip to Florida for a new business. Some times you have to do things for less than you wanted in order to have a much better future business deal. My husband and I did this for an opportunity to start and an additional product to increase our business. In the end it was just what we needed to more than double our income. Scared the buhgeezuz out of us and one of our neighbors' home for the unscheduled launch!! Wasn't anything left to salvage and use for a rebuild I can tell you. LESSON LEARNED!! This is why I love you guys so much. You guys are legends. One piece at a time wtg. Anytime you come up and find an empty wooden box I repurpose those into shadow boxes or men's jewelry boxes. Great video Tucker, I guess one video i would like to see is where to find the best sea shells in your area?. Scrapping saved me this week even with a full time job every thing is too expensive right now.
Scrap life is where it all started for me and yeah that would be a cool video to do gotta check around for the shells. I think they just randomly wash up sometimes at different locations
I love trash picking and that is why I don't have the room in my house and I have a storage unit LOL the trailer I sell online so anything I make as a prophet when I find it in the trash it's amazing what people throw out and I enjoy your videos so much
