The plot, while predictable, really isn't bad. The animation, while awkward at the beginning, did improve at the end. But, the songs were great, it was REALLY, REALLY funny, and the characters are still really charming. 8/10, I wish some of the jokes didn't drag out for too long, and the flossing alien. But yeah, it's still Phineas and Ferb at its peak. And they did it, BY ADULTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!! (proceeds to throw hand up in a specific pattern)
I agree but just because it has the best fourth wall breaks doesn't mean it has the craziest ones. I think The amazing world of Gumball had the craziest one and if you don't know what I'm talking about look it up.

Cons: - The Flossing - The hobo-aliens got too easily defeated and only appeared at the end to arrest the evil leader. I don’t know, I wish they went out with more of a bang compared to what we got. - Like Schaffrillas said, Doof probably should have left the group when he realized that Vanessa was still on Earth, as he didn’t really add anything to the gang after said scene. Maybe he could have found Perry and the two of the them could have helped save the gang and the other hobo-aliens, giving Doof an excuse to stay on the planet with the gang and discover Vanessa wasn’t actually back on Earth. That would make it more satisfying when Isabella gives him the adult patch, or whatever it’s called. It’s not as good as 2nd Dimension, but it’s still a solid 7/10. Edit: Okay, the more I think about it, I unfortunately do have a few more problems w/the film. While I like the story, I could legit predict where it was going to go 90% of the time, and the scene where Doof said that he learned from the best did not land for me. Perhaps if he actually did act more like an adult beforehand, I would like said line, but alas. Despite the fact that I listed more cons than pros, the pros are just that dang strong. After every single scene that I disliked, the crap got washed out of the system, allowing for the pros to come back in a major way. The film is either a solid or a shaky 7/10 depending on how I feel.

How clever of Dan and Swampy to add this to the official soundtrack, simply because it was in the movie briefly. Anyone who likes the song who's never heard it before would hopefully look up its history, and find out it came from Milo Murphy's Law and check the show out on Disney+ as a result :) Wishful thinking, I know, but that show needs more love. It's vastly underrated!
Yeah it’s a really good show, it sucks that Disney screwed with the schedule of the show therefore giving it less views and making a 3rd season unlikely.
I feel like not enough people are talking about the lesson of this movie. It's really nice and I could actually relate a lot to it. It was a nice arc for Candace. It gave dimension to her character and as a struggling teen, I cried.
In the song from the beginning when she just starts to get aggressive with what they did that summer she says “more inventions coming soon” IS THIS A SIGN FOR A SPINOFF???

I love it, too. Unfortunately, it didn't do nearly as good as Phineas and Ferb, and Disney has a "Two season, and you're gone" rule about their shows unless they do crazy-good. I don't think Milo Murphy's Law exactly bombed, but the ratings didn't justify a third season for Disney. Which sucks, because I want to see how Doof became Prof. Time. But this movie acts like MML never existed; he's back living in his building, and he's evil again.
Movie definitely could have been alot better I don't think it was great at all but it was an overall enjoyable experience. To me it just felt off. Overall probably a 6 or 7 out of 10 a decent movie but nothing to right home about

Note: this movie is set between Season 4 episodes in PnF, so Doof's building and schemes are still present in this movie.
they spent a lot of time and effort into this movie, it's not my fault you guys don't keep up with the creators of the show and notice how much they love this show and tried to come up with something they hadn't done before in the franchise. unless you know everything about how this movie came to be, you don't get to say it's a last-minute cash grab.
Hey if you want a good idea as to why everything seemed to reset, at the very end Major Monogram messes up and contacts Perry while he's surrounded by his family- a continuation of a running gag- Probably triggering the Mind Wipe protocol they used at the end of "across the 2d Dimension"
It's part of the VPN sponsorship script to say you use it. it's the same as every other sponsorship. The sponsor doesn't want the viewers to think the content creator doesn't use the product they're advertising (even when it's painfully obvious they absolutely don't, raid shadow legends).

My theory for timeline placement is this takes place before Bully Bromance Breakup and Night of the Living Pharmacists, but after Summer Belongs to You because the whole gang knows Vanessa. The reason all character development is kinda thrown away after this is because they discovered Perry's watch at the very end of the movie, which probably lead to another finding out Perry is a secret agent drama. OWCA probably just used the Amnesia-inator again, which erased the whole day for everyone.
This is one of the more tone deaf Phineas and Ferb specials, but it’s nothing to get so upset about. I just don’t know where to put it in the timeline since Candace seemingly overcame her busting urges, but then went back and overcame them again in the series finale? Eh, I’m just glad to see Phineas and Ferb back doing what they love.
I love the S tier and the recommendation to watch Milo Murphy’s Law. It’s so good and underrated as people didn’t seem to care about it despite the quality.
To be fair, it was always going to live in the shadow of Phineas and Ferb. It’s a weirder premise and it came out at a time where Disney Channel really doesn’t know how it wants to handle cartoons. It’s unfortunate, but that’s how things go sometimes.

For all you that need it, this movie takes place in an alternate universe. So many things are different in the movie compared to the series. One, Doofs building is behind the house and not to the right and bufored and doof didn't reconize each other.
I think it’s funny how much like in the Florpus scene of the Invader Zim Movie and the weirdness bubbles in the finale of Gravity Falls, we got a bit of a dimensional drift from this movie with the breaking down of the characters to their rough animation and storyboards. That scene took me tf out but it was so funny.
I mean i wasn't a fan of this movie. I don't know if this is only me but to me the movie could not make it's mind if it wanted to be serious or funny. it kept switching between the two, it definitely would be better it they fixed it this problem. made this movie very annoying to watch.

Yeah easily, maybe even a theatrical film. Also Milo Murphy’s Law is probably canceled and the two creators are busy so any spin-off would probably take awhile.
@King Pistachion it's a better show because it got season after season. Wander over yonder had only 2 with around 12 episodes each. And even in those short seasons they manage to create some of the most deep and heartfelt stories in it, which was a bit more than a kids show.
I LOVED the Axe-inator joke "Accidents can happen" and it has a selfdestruct button on the other side of the axe XD I most admit I laughed at a lot of the jokes.

i didnt really like the movie that much because i feel like it ruined some of the characters. doof in the series was funny but this doof was just incompetent. i liked the space adventure reference but they reduced baljeets entire character to that. i also didnt like the music because it just sounded kinda wrong but that mightve just been me. buford was the best as usual and the canoe gag was great. candace was given much needed depth that made her more enjoyable to watch. overall i like 2d and most of the specials much more but its better than owca files which is always good in my book
At the end of the movie major monogram starts talking to perry through his watch as all the kids look at Perry in confusion, so maybe that hints at everyone getting their mind erased again like they did an the end of the first movie because they figure out his secret. That would explain why Candace goes back to busting the boys and why the kids and doof don’t remember each other

My theory for timeline placement is this takes place before Bully Bromance Breakup and Night of the Living Pharmacists, but after Summer Belongs to You because the whole gang knows Vanessa. The reason all character development is kinda thrown away after this is because they discovered Perry's watch at the very end of the movie, which probably lead to another finding out Perry is a secret agent drama. OWCA probably just used the Amnesia-inator again, which erased the whole day for everyone.

This is one of the more tone deaf Phineas and Ferb specials, but it’s nothing to get so upset about. I just don’t know where to put it in the timeline since Candace seemingly overcame her busting urges, but then went back and overcame them again in the series finale? Eh, I’m just glad to see Phineas and Ferb back doing what they love.
Maybe it takes place in the second summer?

I love the S tier and the recommendation to watch Milo Murphy’s Law. It’s so good and underrated as people didn’t seem to care about it despite the quality.
To be fair, it was always going to live in the shadow of Phineas and Ferb. It’s a weirder premise and it came out at a time where Disney Channel really doesn’t know how it wants to handle cartoons. It’s unfortunate, but that’s how things go sometimes.

For all you that need it, this movie takes place in an alternate universe. So many things are different in the movie compared to the series. One, Doofs building is behind the house and not to the right and bufored and doof didn't reconize each other.
Nope, those are deliberate continuity errors. The creators stated it happened in the same timeline as the series.

I think it’s funny how much like in the Florpus scene of the Invader Zim Movie and the weirdness bubbles in the finale of Gravity Falls, we got a bit of a dimensional drift from this movie with the breaking down of the characters to their rough animation and storyboards. That scene took me tf out but it was so funny.

It was awesome to see these guys again, and be as great as the series, especially with the songs. The plot felt a little too generic, and it’s no 2nd dimension, but it was still enjoyable!
Disney will give phineas and ferb another film and a spin off series after their last episode; yet wander over yonder is just erased into obscurity.
Yeah easily, maybe even a theatrical film. Also Milo Murphy’s Law is probably canceled and the two creators are busy so any spin-off would probably take awhile.
@King Pistachion it's a better show because it got season after season. Wander over yonder had only 2 with around 12 episodes each. And even in those short seasons they manage to create some of the most deep and heartfelt stories in it, which was a bit more than a kids show.

i didnt really like the movie that much because i feel like it ruined some of the characters. doof in the series was funny but this doof was just incompetent. i liked the space adventure reference but they reduced baljeets entire character to that.
i also didnt like the music because it just sounded kinda wrong but that mightve just been me.
buford was the best as usual and the canoe gag was great. candace was given much needed depth that made her more enjoyable to watch.
overall i like 2d and most of the specials much more but its better than owca files which is always good in my book
At the end of the movie major monogram starts talking to perry through his watch as all the kids look at Perry in confusion, so maybe that hints at everyone getting their mind erased again like they did an the end of the first movie because they figure out his secret. That would explain why Candace goes back to busting the boys and why the kids and doof don’t remember each other
