And another less simple question, if you perhaps have the time: the capacitor buttons seem to jump around in values when setting time on my K30. Is there a way to easily access them in this grinder, besides just hitting them with contactspray from the outside and hoping for improvement?

No, they last a long time - you notice it when the coffee doesn't come out so well and the taste changes.

That switch just annoyed me to no end. I just shorted it out by soldering a short wire across it.
