Great video. Thank you. do you have any idea how to fix a broken loose safety switch that the top metal plate presses down on? The switch has lost it’s “spring”
Hello John Kim If you still found the spring you can hang back on the switch, turn the mill on its head perhaps it has fallen down. otherwise replace switches. greetings from Switzerland Marco
Thank you for the helpful video! You have given me more confidence to try and clean mine. May I ask, why dry clean only for the burrs? And another less simple question, if you perhaps have the time: the capacitor buttons seem to jump around in values when setting time on my K30. Is there a way to easily access them in this grinder, besides just hitting them with contactspray from the outside and hoping for improvement?
Hello The grinding knives must be perfectly cleaned of coffee fat and grinding powder from time to time for optimum quality. If you have problems with the grinding performance, you must clean everything perfectly and measure the condenser which also has a big influence on the grinding performance. (Translated in deepl) Thanks marco
Hi Smith If they are old, they open very badly and everything is jammed. yes, the thread must be cleaned very well after disassembly and greased. this will make opening easier in the future.
Thanks for the tutorial. It helps me to clean my k30es. 👍
Please feel free to do so. greet marco
Thanks! Used this to replace burrs on a k30 twin.
Perfect so you can do the service yourself thanks for your comment.
when is it time, any signals or performance issues that would flag its time
to change the burs?
No, they last a long time - you notice it when the coffee doesn't come out so well and the taste changes.

That switch just annoyed me to no end. I just shorted it out by soldering a short wire across it.
