You need more recognition. Been coming to your tutorials since you first started and you by far teach better than anyone.
Thank you so much! That means a lot to hear. And thank you as well for being here since the beginning! 👊
@@toms_tutorials Of course! I pray what you got going here succeeds for you, whatever you define as success. Your videos are awesome.
@@marleyjlx thank you dude! It's been amazing and so encouraging to see responses like this. I'm honored to be able to help the world get better at skateboarding. ❤

I love your tutorials man I got my first varial heelflip!
First time watching any of your videos and let me just say this is absolutely the best varial heel trick tip I’ve seen yet 💯
thanks Tom, this video help me a lot and i’ve landed my first vheel ❤
Such proper technique. Very impressed by every video. Backside 360s or nollie bs flips next. Thanks Tom.
Great tips and holy crap that is a beautiful varial heelflip, huge. Lookout Neen
Your explanation, execution and different angles are top notch! I'm subscribing twice!!!
🙏Thanks so much!
I've used almost all of your tips and i have progressed so much! Thank you!
Of course! This makes me so happy to hear, thanks for sharing!!
Great vid!would you make videos about ledge tricks and videos that are not focusing on a specific trick but more of a genre (commiting while going fast, skating gaps, flipping in and out of tricks, getting your tricks cleaner etc.)?
Anyway,love your videos!
Спасибо Tom за эту обучалку, теперь я понял принцип хилфлипа!
Great tips. I hope they help me because this my kryptonite trick
Finally someone who really committed to make good tutorials. Most tutorials where like, 1 min so I tell you how to do a the trick, you push stand on your board like this and then bam do the trick, thanks for watching!
Great trick tips! The key for me was to focus my weight on the front foot, which you have mentionned in the video.
Next laser flip? :)
Thank you! I would love to do laser flip at some point. Gotta get to some others before then but it's on the list!
Amazing video as always! Shove it Kickflip soon please 😎
yesss. this is also my favorite flip trick. i can kinda do them, but my board always under rotates a bit.. gonna go try these tips..thanks Tom
Cheers dude! Best trick ever... Let me know if this helps!
Thanke you
Damn bro , best tutorials on RUclips 👏 I wish these were available in such detail 20 years ago when I started skating !
Lol you and me both! Thank you for the compliment, very happy to be able to at least help you now!
@@toms_tutorials for sure!
dude highest pop varial heel from Tom! ima get this soon man thx for vid!
Thank you dude and got you! Hope you get em!
I can do these easily while supporting myself between two poles, without them I've landed maybe 5? all stationary with great effort.
Thank you very much! I was waiting for this one to come out! I love how you explain the tricks
Can we get an Inward Heel tutorial in the future?
My pleasure! I'm surprised at how many inward heel requests I've seen! I can do this one but not as consistent as I'd like. I'm staying open to it though and may have to deliver at some point. 💪
nice tip
Hey Tom you got any links to your skate footage, love your style can tell your seriously talented
Very interesting as I feel like everyone flicks with their heel and not with their toes.
I put my front foot with my heel standing just in the middle of my board, so I would say that aiming your heel for the right (left for goofy) corner of your nose helps too
And also, have you ever considered making some footage of doing a trick with a POV? I think it would help begginers like me a lot to understand what's really going on beneath you
I think that's a great call! Some POV angles could be awesome for future tutorials.
360 flip I got it from your clip, good teaching, almost get 360 flip each, pushed to hurt my foot 😂😂
Please make a 360 pop shov tutorial, i always catch the primo when trying to do it(
Very good! The Brasil
Do a tutorial on pressure flips
Thank you for these great tutorials i can’t wait to see more ! Can’t wait to subscribe on your Instagram! How can i prevent my body from landing in front of the nose when skating stairs ?
Thank you it would mean a lot to have you subscribe! In regards to the stairs question, it can help to adjust the way you're leaning before you pop, whether over your toe side or heel side of your board. I would be happy to walk you through this and more through our Subscription!
@@toms_tutorials will subscribe ASAP!
@@joelrivera2281 yes!! Can't wait to chat and watch you progress!
tom u crazy
💁♂
Nollie flip trick tip would be cool
Gotta do this one at some point!
Thanks for this. I'm going to work on my front foot position now and see if it helps. It's really good to hear that the flick is with the toe and not the heel. I wasn't ever sure how the flick worked.
Of course. 👊 I hope it helps!
Lazer flip next please!!!
Plus dolphin heel?
I can land them but my flick is like slow motion, any tips on speeding that flick ?
this is one of those tricks i just don’t get lol. i tried the bending down & keeping weight on ball of foot like u said & that helped a lot but i can’t get the board to stay under me for shit. any tips for making it stay under u? the board flips perfect most of the time but either goes in front of me or behind me
Balancing your body more to the back maybe helps.
Holy shit you do those so well
Thank you! V heel has always been my favorite!
I wanna land this trick so bad for real. My front shuvs are ugly but I love this trick
What tips stood out to you most? Any further questions?
I always loved Varial Heels, they are more easy than a kickflip for me. Though, I never gave attention of how I was doing them. I really like that advice on the feet positionning/toes not hanging as much as you think they should. I'll try focusing on that because even tho I get them pretty easily on flat/pyramid/bumps... I can't get it to stick to my feet on a gap. They almost always over/underflip or I catch them with my feet too close of each other. That said, great video once again, keep it up
@@james_roy Thank you! I'm with you, this trick has always worked so well for me. Let me know if that tip helps you perfect them!
1:21 DAMN!
Haha 🙏!
Hi can anyone help me with mine, for some reason they barely pop. it looks like they go on the back wheels and rotate like that, and i can pop my front side shuvs without jumping back. I dont know why my varial heelflips glide across n not pop, it's so frustrating 😭 please help me
Fat vheel. I always struggle to pop these 😢 going to try your foot position, thanks 👍
I can land on it perfectly but my deck only flips halfway
For some reason switch and nollie varial heelflip is way easier for me than regular and fakie why is that like I stuggle more trying it reg and fakie than switch and nollie why is that?
Some tricks are just like that and this is one of them. I honestly don't know why. For me all varial heel and big heel tricks are a lot easier regular, but for a lot of people switch is easier, so don't worry you're not the only one.
I always thought this was an inward heel flip
those spin backside
it's more like the heelflip version of a hardflip
Hey Tom what size board do you ride?
I skate an 8.25". My shoes are 10.5, so this board size to me is great for all-around skating.
Yeah, and I'm also curious about truck size and wheel size.
@@foreroa got you! I skate 148 trucks (that fit 8.25" boards) and usually prefer size 50mm wheels, although I've been skating 52's as of lately.
,🤙
🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭❤
Shoutout Thailand! ❤
i cant land my backfoto
I just cannot keep the board from going behind me on this damn trick! 😡😡
You got to jump as far back as you can: as if you’re trying to land behind your board
