I trapped and sold hundreds of pounds of leeches every year in the 70s and early 80s in northern Minnesota.... Coffee cans and burlap bags worked great 👍. (Fish heads , beef scraps , and liver works for bait.) Aluminum newspaper sheets folded also works.
Is there a certain depth that’s best for leaches and does the trap always need to be on the bottom or will it work suspending it all? I did some trapping for bait up near Nevis MN when we used to stay at the cabin through the late 80s early 90s on Lake Biltine. Lawrence the resort owner showed me a few different slews and gave me a couple of his leach coffee can traps to use but for the most part I only caught bloodsuckers

Could you please do a video on the traps themselves I’d love to know more about them

@@RiverRaiderOutdoors. thank you 👊
Can you send me any information on how to contact Scott Lyons? I have a few questions I would like to ask him about the vinyl traps?
Thank you
We will be making and selling them this fall. Scotty quit leech trapping awhile back. What do you want to know?
@@RiverRaiderOutdoors. I will subscribe to your channel as I would be interested in the vinyl traps when you sell them. Thanks! Chris
@@RiverRaiderOutdoors. i want to buy 100 pcs
Where can I get more information on the vinyl traps you are using? What is your source for the vinyl?
My method uses (old) vinyl siding and bend with a heat gun. Cut to about 18 inches long
