Just got my radio today, coming from spektrum.A bit overwhelming, but I've been following your other videos for a while, and I enjoy your style of presentation.I'm an older guy and not real computer savvy, but I think this series should help a lot. Thank-you for posting.
This is going to be very good Andrew. I got my Taranis about six months ago, and i do struggle a bit programming it up some times. Please don't go to quickly with buttons presses that is needed. Thanks. Keith.
Mine is custom sprayed pure white, has the M9 Gimbals and a UHF Module....2650mah 3S power pack. FPV is well suited with this Radio.....The new micro XM Plus receiver can do 5kms...!!!....The L9R a lot more.
Hi Andrews, appreciate your videos. already helped me a lot. i started RC flying with a simple 6ch hobbyking transmitter for about 35 bucks - i started with that one, because my budget was limited back at this time and i was unsure if i get into rc flying. soon i upgraded to a Flysky i6 radio. now i am thinking about another upgrade, because with my latest glider (volantis phoenix from Hobbyking), i am limited with the amount of channels. the FS i6 has enough channels for the basic setup, but for a more complex setup the radio has not enough channels i would need for different mixes. my budget for a new transmitter would be around 100-120 bucks. i would also need about 4 - 5 receivers, which should be at a decent price. Do you have a recommendation for a radio? thanks
Radiomaster Zorro 4 in 1 or TX12 Mk11 and use your current FlySKY receivers. Or my next review is the FlySKY ST8, which is good too, but you would need new ANT receivers
Pimped mine with a new case and a rp-sma connector. As I did the gimbals a while ago it is now SE spec. Stopped me buying an Horus X10 that I can afford.
Hi Andrew , i have been tempted to get a Frsky radio for a while , i currently use Hitec Aurora 9 , and its a great radio , i would love to see someone like yourself get sent a Horus X10 , seems like all the review ones that were sent out were to Quad flyers , which really doesn't make scene to me , i would like to see it reviewed by a plane pilot , but i shall be following this series closely , very interesting . All the best , Scott .......
Same here ! when range testing outside the house the range is terrible ! I have tried X8R and even swapped it before leaving home for a D8 and just the same, your right it must be the local RF as this is not a problem at the flying field. It is just annoying, I own a 9d a 9e and a Q7 they are all great...... so good you just dont expect to get that round the estate.

Thanks Don. Cant help you with Spectrum programming I'm afraid, but I guess you can see what is possible.
Got mine a few months ago. It replaced my Spectrum Dx6. The best replacement ever
Great video Andrew. Had mine for over a year now and love it.
Excellent, wish they made better switches

Thanks Scott, I like the look of all the Horus radios, maybe one day
I'd be curious to know your thoughts relative to the X10s too.
They look very nice but can't justify buying one just now
I fly in what has to be extremely noisy rf environment- had a fly away probably around 100 meters with x8r and 9d+

I believe wireless security systems are the biggest problem.
keep this series going, please, lol
Yes I will Mike.
