Dylan Sanders is so great from right off the bat, but when you actually think about everything he does, it's just astounding. He plays Tootsie, who's a country-boy with a semi-high pitched, idiotic sounding accent, but then he plays Pincer, who's this villainous, intimidating, low-pitched scorpion-monster, and he does them both so well, even though they're total opposites. Don't even get me started on his singing, though. He could seriously make anything sound good. Every note that he hits is fucking perfection and his verses always end up being my favorites. I love the StarKid cast and I don't think I could ever actually bring myself to rank the members from my favorites, but, holy shit, on a list of "Most Generally Impressive," Dylan Sanders is absolutely at the fucking top. Hats off, my dude.
I'm going through all the Starkid shows and couunting all the times the f-word is said and so far, the count is zero for Starship...Compared to the 50+ times it was said Firebringer or Twisted and they're being REALLY clean here...
I love how all the actors get into the props just their facial expressions and everything. and then there's nick who tops it off and is "hey look at me I'm a claw!!!"
I think Brian's scenes in this really let him shine, and I love it. He and Dylan Saunders have a weirdly amazing chemistry in that scene, they're my two favorite Starkids :)

He has serious charisma and is fantastic in the roles he has played like Junior, Lupin and Superman, hell he even made Jar Jar likable but I would love to see him as a lead in future shows to get more of it, because I'm greedy. However, given that him and the Lang brothers are the founders of Starkid they are involved in the business side of things so smaller roles probably suit them better.

i love how Nick, eventhough he's just operating one claw, still acts and reacts to all the action that goes on. you can really see how passionate nick is, something you don't always see :)
The characterization with everyone in these plays is so phenomenal. Even the people working pincer's claws are using facial expressions to go with pincer's emotions.
