@@benreilly595 Many, many years ago I came off my board and my entire big toenail was hanging my a thread and stuck to the inside of my sock. I was homeless at the time and didn't deal with it for a couple days. I ripped it off in the park in front of a load of friends to gross them out, it was caked in blood and toe-cheese. It was like 5 different colours. This one kid grabbed it off of me, sucked on it for a few seconds and handed it back to me, clean. Pretty much everyone puked 😄
Ethan’s interview with Wale was one of his best interviews ever. Flowed so nicely.
I came to say this. I don’t know if it was just good chemistry or if Ethan has become more comfortable and perhaps studying up on other talented interviewers but he really shined here and it was really heartwarming to see.
Because he was genuinely interested in his guest.

It’s great getting to see the podcast get involved with athletics… I know a lot of the crew and audience kinda poo poos sports in general… but having them exposed to the power these sports have is great. Millions of people have forged a path through the most unbelievable circumstance.
As much as we rag on Ethan, let’s give him props for developing/strengthening his interviewing skills and asking interesting questions! One of my favorite h3 interviews to date

AB's journey has become such an Anime Arc: Starkilla, a wimpy masked kid who aspires to meet his great hero, Ethan. Eventually does so because he finally feels he must create a video to defend Ethan at all costs. In doing this our Starkilla gets recruited by his hero and is trained under his wing. Soon enough Starkilla is given a new name, AB. Under this new title, AB heroically saves children from a burning bus (or whatever) and is branded a true fighter and is beloved. AB then travels knowing he must become more.. He then meets the Grandmaster with a haunted past, Lucky Boy. AB must now face his biggest fight yet, in the ring..

40 minutes in and I have to say this is one of ethans best interviews ever. The style of not knowing your guest really at all besides maybe a story and just re tracing there steps that they went through to achieve success is fun and extremely engaging.

It’s hard to explain to people how you truly cannot be satisfied hunger-wise, it literally feels like you’re a black hole of hunger. Obviously not everyone experiences that but many of us do, and it’s rarely talked about. Hope the Wellbutrin goes well for you!!!

@@tsrifemantsal2492 This is often how it is with elite fighters. Obviously you get the occasional nutcase, but most fighters who reach such a high level are really chilled out. And you can imagine why. They have no insecurities. Decades of hard work, getting punched around by other people, smacking around other people themselves, there's no better training to get you to a place where you can both be totally confident in yourself, and also humble enough to know that there's always someone better than you, so respect everyone.
Humility and a total lack of insecurity is like, the best combination to make a great, chilled out person.

I think it’s BS that Zach got the same amount for just “licking”/tasting it... when love legitimately tried to eat it, and even swallowed some of it.
That convo about Ethan taking the next step in attempting to adjust his medications is awesome. I love the overall chill vibe which allows for some destigmatisation of the topic but also keeps that balance of (not sure how to word it so I'll just say it as follows) avoiding the glorification and the "look at me I'm so quirky" vibe... im sorry to say it this way but Ethan does a great job talking about it the OPPOSITE way as Trisha does. Shout out to Dan being the "supportive friend" in that convo which is also setting a wonderful example for the viewers. Seeking professional opinions and sometimes a second opinion should be normalized (Although that seems expensive in the United States).
Warning the next part of my comment is unsocolicited advice for the weight loss situation Ethan is in. I have both a post secondary education and 10 years experience as a personal trainer so this is just a well intentioned but very general point I'm about to make: after the medication change/addition please consider looking into your relationship with food. I'm not saying you, Ethan, have an eating disorder but rather an emotional attachment to certain foods. Even fit people should always check in with themselves to maintain a balance in their relationship with food.
For me personally, food really is the greatest pleasure in life. That being said I have to be careful with allowing my brain to program itself to seek food as a major reward system or a coping mechanism to feel good or escape reality. It's so easy to fall into that and from my personal anecdotal experience that's the balance most ppl are always trying to work on.
Sure, a rare mukbang or even a celebratory meal is great! But celebrating 4x per week is no longer that. Eating poorly due to stress and lack of sleep is a huge part of why parents of new borns put on those pounds.
Basically what I'm saying is avoid an "all or nothing" approach and find the right times to be forgiving of yourself and the right times to apply a voice of self-discipline. Personally I've noticed Ethan grab for those diet Cokes (aka "sodee pops") in times of stress. Just an observation as a viewer, I don't know what happens off camera. But clearly something about that is a "comfort" during times of stress. Yes, it is 0 calories but that isn't what this is about....it's that relationship with that food-like item. There is an emotion attached to it- comfort in times of stress- and being more and more aware of that reaction can help us identify our conditioned responses and find ways to identify the root causes of certain habits.
This applies anywhere in life, outside of food, but I just wanted everyone to take moment to connect with themselves and learn their habits.

Massive props to Ethan for holding the interview with Wale so well! A lot of talent in keeping the flow and asking good questions to keep it entertaining and interesting. After the content during this pandemic it's easy to forget how skilled he is at interviewing people.

To be fair this is true of all my 20-22 friends, it's really hard once you are any older at all than your friends when you hit 20. I have a beloved friend that used up his savings during covid instead of working and without unemployment, it wasn't any fun that he let that go until he was dead broke for his roomates either.

Zach needs to take a deep breath sometimes. He’s been so negative for the past few episodes. And like I’ve been there I’ve been that person I hope he’s alright and happy. But maybe try to not take things so seriously sometimes
