Whoops! We said the first Klondike bar was released in 1992, but we meant 1922. Just a slip of the tongue! Thanks for paying so close attention and helping us get everything right!
I moved to Ohio recently and one of the main things that I missed from the Giant eagle supermarkets is isley's chip choped ham. Not even the best lunch meat you can buy but there's something nostalgic about it.😢
Just learned something about what I had always thought was a strictly local dairy in my hometown of Warren, OH. Love the double chocolate Klondike bar. As a grade school student one of our field trips was to the Isaly's dairy facility in Warren. However, here in the wasteland of New England, only the standard Klondike bars are available. None of the other Klondike products are available.
what did you think the big tower in west youngstown that had 'ISALY' on the side was?? that would make me think my isaly's store wasn't the only one in the world. poor old man isaly is spinning around in his box.
As a Pittsburgh Pennsylvania native I can confirm without a shadow of a doubt that this is our number one favourite ice cream bar! So far as isley's chip chop ham can't find it anywhere else but Pittsburgh isn't that's something?
So, due to the fact that my comment did not show up, I will rephrase it. This time I will use simple words. What, pray tell, happened to the size of the Klondike bar?
If they come with an Ice Cream sandwich round or square that has an Oreo cookie type top and bottom watch out! Just like Baskin Robbins stores did in the early 70's. I used to make them in the early 70's.
why on earth would they do that? they already have a chocolate coating on the thing, and they have their own identity- which unilever paid DEARLY for.....
How does this person have 1.16M subs and only 200 views in 6 mins. I mean, it's more than I've ever gotten, but considering the amount of subs mashed has, it's kinda crazy
The truth is that when the Isaly Family sold the Isaly Klondike bar they had a clause that said that if the new owner changed teh Formula they could Not keep the Isaly na,e on the Klondike bar. That is why Unilever can not have the Isaly name on the Klondike bar anymore. There now are a few generations that will never know the joy of that Great American bar that fell into the hands of Unilever who ruined the quality and of course raised the price. Then they take over sites like this to keep the America. People off balance.
Thanks a lot, now I have to go out and get a Klondike bar. The only other flavor I've ever seen was mint chocolate chip. I hope I can find their website and I have to get two of those chair's. Anyone who knows the exact website, I would appreciate if you would drop me a line.
Question is Klondike Bar is real Ice Cream or they lower their grade to Ice Milk, because I ask the ice cream have structure like Ice milk crystal do. 🤭
Do you remember when Klondike and York had some kind of co-branding arrangement and there were white-mint-filled Klondikes? Wow -- that must be about 20 years ago. Those and Neapolitans stand as my all-time favorites. As for other flavors I'd like, if Klondike made them, I'd say coconut, tangerine, and ginger would be high on the list. But if they'd marketed a black raspberry version, my mum would probably have made my papa buy a stand-alone freezer for them -- and relegate the stove to the basement to make room for it!
always knew it was a local store here in Ashtabula, best cherry vanilla cone, whole cherries in it.also black walnut. can't find those flavors anywhere today.
I'm eating ice cream sandwiches for breakfast as i watch this, i eat tons compulsively every day, they're one of the most addictive products, very hard to resist. I've woken up nauseous and throw up sometimes when there's an overload in my system.
lili, ever had a tally-ho? they were the best ice cream sandwich cookies ever. they used to serve them at waterworks pool in cuyahoga falls ohio. OMG i could devour them all day long. prolly not around anymore. boo-hoo.
everything at isaly's was awesome. i've got the urge to make a whitehouse skyscraper cone (in cuyahoga falls we called them 'slagscrapers'). that might seem disrespectful, but it was a nod to the guys who had the NASTIEST jobs in the steel mills.
no. okay but if so you are an old man. that would be in the early 60's and if you got more than 8 gallons they would give you stuff like glasses and dishes and trading stamps.
Has not been ice cream for decades. Non fat milk, coconut oil, high fructose corn syrup, whey ... it's fake ice cream. But at least they aren't as bad as what they've done with Drumsticks that don't even melt anymore.
Imagine this Bob Ross and Mr Rogers helping Jesus in the battle of Armageddon Bob Ross with newly given powers that Jesus gives him the powers allows him to paint reality and Mr Rogers with his powers of love and friendship given to him by Jesus Mr Rogers also has the powers of making things beautiful with the powers of Jesus Jesus also makes fictional Good guys real like the planeteers and Captain planet and Superman and Batman and Wonder woman and iron Man and Captain America and Spider-Man and the avengers and the Justice League and all the superhero groups and GI Joe and Autobots and Master Chief and kratos and Mario and Sonic the hedgehog and Ben 10,000
After trying 1 after a few years, I noticed the quality of the chocolate and ice cream is no longer the same. I threw them out. I won't be buying these again. Just another example of a woke company destroying themselves. I'll start making my own

Happy 100th birthday, Klondike bar!
Nothing like a Klondike bar on a cold snowy day!
What the hell happened to the God damn size?
Klondike bars were a staple of growing up in Pittsburgh in the '70s, as was Isaly's chipped ham...
Hi...my family is from Johnstown..chipped ham sounds soooo good right now! Mobile, Alabama doesn't know what that is.
Grew up with Klondike Bars in Memphis,TN but never heard about the hams.
it was like lawson's chip-chop.

what did you think the big tower in west youngstown that had 'ISALY' on the side was?? that would make me think my isaly's store wasn't the only one in the world. poor old man isaly is spinning around in his box.
I was eating a Klondike while watching
Same!
Klondike bars are so beloved.

What, pray tell, happened to the size of the Klondike bar?
I stopped buying when Klondike started making thinner bars.

LOVE THEM, MERCI.
What is your favorite flavor of Klondike bar?
mint choc chip
Definitely, the original flavor!
i'm holding out for 'blueberry kush'
Used to be vanilla that had a distinct flavor that no longer exists.
Mint
🍦

They make one now
My favorite ice cream
The flavor of the vanilla ice cream has changed. Period.
Love the heath Klondike bars!
I can't find almond anymore. It was my fave.
How does this person have 1.16M subs and only 200 views in 6 mins. I mean, it's more than I've ever gotten, but considering the amount of subs mashed has, it's kinda crazy
It's because they have the notice bell. I come to a lot of their videos when I get that notification 🔔 bell. You do have to click onto it.
Great analysis, as always!

I used to love Klondike bars. But I am into Haagen-das bars.
Every one thinks Islays was a Pittsburgh company
they were- they had lots of stores there. but they started in mansfield.
I don't like Klondike's ice cream, it feels like a slightly thicker whipped cream.
Thanks a lot, now I have to go out and get a Klondike bar. The only other flavor I've ever seen was mint chocolate chip. I hope I can find their website and I have to get two of those chair's. Anyone who knows the exact website, I would appreciate if you would drop me a line.

They're not as good as they were originally. Not enough real ice cream or something.
The background music is annoying and distracting
So they got rid of choco taco but kept klondike bar. pshhhh
Great dessert my favorite
Mint Chocolate yumm

The things I've done for a Klondike bar.. you don't want to know
could you just post a vid?
Klondike Bars have always tasted weirdly salty to me. Is that just me?
Well at least they got to eat something decent after being given something that didn't work.....lol
always knew it was a local store here in Ashtabula, best cherry vanilla cone, whole cherries in it.also black walnut. can't find those flavors anywhere today.
its called whitehouse flavor and it IS good....
Woot mansfield. My hometown.
the graybar?
Everyone thought Islays was a Pittsburgh company
no, again
There aren't any polar bears in the Klondike, however there are alot of grizzly and black bears there.
and there aren't any polar bears where they sell coke- so what?
These were my favorite but now they do not taste the same. Ice-cream taste weird and cheap
So sorry to get off the cooking subject which is my passion I'll leave now.
This video was uploaded on 4/20🍦
The Klondike great tastes fresh and great flavor, great to have on a hot day.
OH THATS WHAT IT DOES...
Klondike should also do not just the heath bar but also a skor far as well
if you knew how much they paid-
I'm eating ice cream sandwiches for breakfast as i watch this, i eat tons compulsively every day, they're one of the most addictive products, very hard to resist. I've woken up nauseous and throw up sometimes when there's an overload in my system.
wtf
lili, ever had a tally-ho? they were the best ice cream sandwich cookies ever. they used to serve them at waterworks pool in cuyahoga falls ohio. OMG i could devour them all day long. prolly not around anymore. boo-hoo.
What would you do for a Klondike bar??? Answer: I don't know any Eskimo pie fans who enjoy the best ice cream bar...
And I had so many different flavors of Ice Cream to make them with. They flew out of the store.
isalys also had the best chip chop ham and jarred bbq sauce to go with it, better than Arby's
everything at isaly's was awesome. i've got the urge to make a whitehouse skyscraper cone (in cuyahoga falls we called them 'slagscrapers'). that might seem disrespectful, but it was a nod to the guys who had the NASTIEST jobs in the steel mills.
@@tommurphy4307 we'd get a cone after a day at the beach in Ashtabula.loved the cherries in it
Original and heath are the best
they're not foiled wrapped anymore, the one I just ate was foiled colored plastic
those taste better and they won't hurt your fillings. BONUS!
Giant ripoff. Shrinkflation at its finest.
And I was just 16 or 17 years old at the time. My first job $ 1.10 an hour. But you could buy 5 gallons of gasoline with that money back then.
no. okay but if so you are an old man. that would be in the early 60's and if you got more than 8 gallons they would give you stuff like glasses and dishes and trading stamps.
i ate one last night and i puked all day today. no gud.
This should be the dangerous ingredients in that fake bar.
Has not been ice cream for decades.
Non fat milk, coconut oil, high fructose corn syrup, whey ... it's fake ice cream. But at least they aren't as bad as what they've done with Drumsticks that don't even melt anymore.

Jab pushers, I guess I have bought my last six pack.

Thumbs down after they coerced people to take the clot shot..
But what’s with this awful music…
It's over priced. That's all I know.
