I fully agree - your videos are fantastic. You are very good at explaining the various subjects/features - in clear and understandable English - and it makes me even more interested in digging further down into all the various systems. I have watched many of your videos and I will watch them all. Keep'em coming! Thank you for doing what you are doing - this is great help to A LOT of people :-)
Hi Lars, thank you so much for watching and your kind comment. It really humbles me to hear how much the videos are enjoyed and especially great to know how it is inspiring you with your bus research! Thanks again.
Every time I listen or re-listen to your videos I learn more and more. You are a credit to your profession and a wonderful asset to your and our hobby of flight simulation.
Yes another masterpiece and perfect explanation for non real airbus pilot! Anyhow can we expect a Video where you take us with during a real flight! Would be so cool
Helped me so much this but still have a little confusion but at 62 not given up on my brain yet. Another watch needed but with you giving the lessons I will get there🙂
Great informative video, thanks! At the beginning when searching for the SID if you were to expand the Navigraph window (fullscreen or just make it wider) it shows the full chart names down the side :)
Your videos are great. I have a question. Did you mention in any video how to add a new waypoint, if ATC suddenly gives you a new waypoint to fly to, that is not allready in the MCDU? If you should use Direct or enter it in some other way?
So a real Airbus pilot is making the effort to create a tutorial video on how to read arrival charts and 2 people think , nah, let me click on dislike.. Sometimes I just don't get it.. Maybe I am getting old. Anyway, thanks for this video and all your other content on your channel, appreciate what you do!
Hello 320 Sim Pilot, I discovered your channel looking for precise tutorials for the Toliss Airbus A319, so far I've learned a lot in a week, so I did my first complete flight today from GCXO-LPMA. The part of the flight that is still kind of obscure for me is between reaching the TOD and the Landing, can we have a tutorial on that area?. Thank you for the great content in your videos 👍
Great video but i have a question about atis.. how can i listen to ATC while using vat sim and also hear my arrival airport ATIS without changing the frequency ? I know that on a real plane you can listen to 2 different frequencies. Can you do the same on the airbus neo by flyby wire ?
This is great for the chart reading, but I've still no idea how to actually use it while in the air. What do I enter into the MCDU if I'm in a STAR pattern and ATC says I can exit the pattern and make the approach? Should I generally always program in a STAR in my flight plans? Is it realistic to decide on which runway to land on in advance or is that decided with ATC when ready to approach? It would be great if you could simulate what to do when flight plans have to be changed at the last minute :)
Great tutorial as always. Why do so many STAR arrivals start a few miles apart, but end up in the same place. Why would an airline use one in preference to another. Or is it an ATC thing? Why does Fumincino have so many? 10/10 as always 👍
I know this video is so old so but would someone with some knowledge be able to help me out. If my star doesn't connect to the first point in the approach, what do I do. It also doesn't have any arrows that indicate vectors all the time from ATC. If I fly on VATSIM can I just do the star and connect it with NO VIA to the approach? And in real life what would be the procedure for this. This is for Manchester btw (EGCC)
When pressing the Constraints button, are the altitude and speed constraints automatically followed? And also, why is there an option on the FMS to engage APPROACH MODE, when it does it automatically? Just eager to learn from a pro :)
So the ALESO1H arrival at Heathrow has the requirement to be at FL180. But then the box next to it says “ACTUAL DESCENT CLEARANCE WILL BE AS DIRECTED BY ATC”. So does that mean you can expect ATC to overrule this requirement?
ATC frequently override published data if local conditions demand it. The purpose of ATC is to keep aircraft separated and safe. If you go around for example, you are likely to be told to fly 'the published procedure' which is included on the approach chart.
@@budguy21 its probably working now, back then the MSFS FlyByWire neo didn't fly vnav properly. I didn't even know there was a TOliss then nor am I willing to purchase more addons.
Quick question, for anybody able to answer: does the automatic holding already work with the 32NX Mod or is that not possible as of now (because last time I tried it and it did show up but not work)
Priceless information - the knowledge and effort that goes into making these tutorials cannot be underestimated. Thank you so much 👍
You're very welcome Ed! Thanks for watching as always.
Another masterpiece! Keep it up! You are the best Pilot RUclipsr out there!
Thank you, very kind!
You have helped so many people through this awful year, thank you so much for your wonderful teaching. You deserve an MBE.
Thanks for watching, very kind words!

Sadly that is unlikely but thank you for your kind words and glad to hear the videos have been helpful!
Great video capt. Best explanation of STARs I've seen. Better than my ground school tutor. Looking forward to the approach. Best to you and the FO.
Glad you enjoyed it Marcel, thank you!
Thank you again for the very simple explanation on STAR !!!! Very useful
I love this channel - what a joy it is to watch these tutorials. Many thanks!
Another great tutorial. I think you've safely earned your tenure as a master professor of flight instruction. 😀
These are amazing for new sim pilots that don't know what they're looking at. Going to send this to my friend who's just started sim flying.
Thanks Matt!

Fantastic, thank you so much. I was hoping that you would cover transitions, could you explain what transitions are in a future video?
Thanks! Hopefully I can cover that in a future video on approaches.
Thx for the vid. Top tier quality. An idea for the APP : LFPG ones are interesting with initial and finals, vectors etc
Thanks! I will have a look at what I can do!
I absolutely love you! You are explaining so calm and so clear. I am a massive fan! Thank you so much!
You are very welcome! Thanks for watching.
Brilliant tutorial as usual! I should really get myself a Navigraph subscription to enjoy those nice Jeppesen charts :)
Very nice video mate! Thanks for the Promo at the end!
Great informative video, thanks!

How come when I need to find a tutorial for something, and as soon as I search for it, 320 Sim Pilot uploads a video just in time. I an very lucky.
Great minds think alike! Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for the video. Extremely helpful for the average simmer!!
Very extensive! great video
Thanks Lewis!
Another excellent presentation. Thanks
*Really* helpful, just like the SID - waiting eagerly for APP!
Great as always! Thank you so much!
My pleasure!
Fantastic video and great for beginners at flight sim!
Thanks a lot Ross!
You're the best! Thank you for the tutorial
You're welcome!
Amazing tutorial! Thank you
You're very welcome!
Hi. Another brilliant video. What would we do without you? Really need to know how you get the Navigraph overlay on screen?
Thank Paul! I don't actually have it on the same screen, I use my recording software to overlay it for the video.

Thanks for this great tutorial I am now getting to grips with charts a little. This is something I so need before I can even think about Vatsim.🙂🙂
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching Christopher.

You think on the star charts they show the hills as brown since that’s the colour the pilots trousers turn if they don’t notice them?

Thank you so much Captain!
I choose to learn how to fly A320 instead of my favorite plane B787 because of your channel.
You are the best!

Thank you, very kind!
My humble request for a video on A320 energy management
At last! Thank you so much
what you can do is filter by name at 3:45 :-)
Great stuff, clarifies so many things. Nevertheless, one question: is the "VIA" on the STAR the same point as the IAF on the Approach Chart then?
good video thanks
You're welcome!

Understated or underestimated? Word-worms your input please.
Which subscription of Navigraph would you recommend for fs2020? Thanks
Have you done any sim flights in USA yet?
Not yet! Will do soon, thanks for watching Thomas!

Hey guys! Question: Are the toliss aircraft realistic? In terms of physics?
SID, STAR, APPROACH
When pressing the Constraints button, are the altitude and speed constraints automatically followed? And also, why is there an option on the FMS to engage APPROACH MODE, when it does it automatically? Just eager to learn from a pro :)
the constraints button merely shows them on the ND. As long as you are in Managed mode it should follow them.
So the ALESO1H arrival at Heathrow has the requirement to be at FL180. But then the box next to it says “ACTUAL DESCENT CLEARANCE WILL BE AS DIRECTED BY ATC”. So does that mean you can expect ATC to overrule this requirement?
Yes, probably.

Nice, will watch this in depth, thx for the great content, keep it up :-)
Thanks, will do!
I wish that you would have covered how to actually fly the approach. My MCDU and Auto Pilot does not honor altitude restrictions.
Make sure they are entered in the mcdu, and make sure you are in Managed mode.

Navigraph

You are right, in the past I tried trading on my own but made almost no profit until I was link to a professional, the result was exceptional
He's obviously the best I invested 2500USD with him and I have made a profit of 9340USD
