Hey bro you actually helped me alot setup my first acid farm. I will add that i piped together the osmosis purifier with the water pumps and it automated that part for me as long as the pumps are above the asmosis purifiers
Hi man, 1:34 actually you can connect the electricity in one water pump to another, just make sure at least one of then at the end are connected to a energy/eletricity generator. It works for all things that need electricity
You can put the pumps on the ground, not on water, to extract only polluted water, so you can control the flow of the impure acid more efficiently. Putting the pumps on water extract both dirty and polluted water.
@@boymin3250 try move to a more heavily polluted area, with a higher number shown in your backpack. My current base is located at Chalk Peak, near the water, top left corner of the map. My backpack says 100. When I put my pump on the ground it only extracts polluted water.
@@boymin3250 idk why it happens to you. I have 9 pumps I put on the ground and 2 I put on water. The ones I put on the ground only pull polluted water for me.
The rain catchers will also catch dirty and polluted water in polluted zones when it rains. I have four of them set up to empty into a water tank then to the water purifer. Combined with the water pumps, you can get a pretty steady supply of both types of water.
Amazing video!! Helped me with my own acid far.. however, when I'm putting the purified water and into the brewing barrel, it says that there are "insufficient items" for the impure acid and I can therefore not add it to the brewing barrel. I checked the input vs output ratio and everything but it doesn't seem to work :/ is it cause I don't have enough impure acid yet? I'm at 7 right now. Sorry for the silly question!!
Just do what i do. Make afew water containers and stack them. i have 3 on top filled with dirty water gather by hands because it takes so very little time to gather them. i just end up storing a shit tons of them. Then, connect all the top dirty water containers to the water purifier. Connect the purifier to the bottom container since that is the only 1 u need to store purifier water. And that will last u a very long time. This is so u can build alot of pump and use all the electricity on pumping polluted water. So u never ever have to waste electricity on pumping dirty water. Then conects those water pump onto a new containers so you wouldnt have to grab the polluted water 1 by 1 at each pump. I have 8 pump, and i have a farm and i leave my water sprinkler on all day, I have 3 sprinkler running 247. But if you make a switch to turn off and on the water, it should last so much longer, unlike mines since i always forget to turn it off when my crops dont need any more watering lol.
@TheGearhorn I know that, that is why I said use all water pump to pump polluted water... polluted water = acid. Using all water pump for polluted water= a shit ton of acids. And no wasted electricity.
@@jimmylor4467 You are correct, I misread that, though I think the scale of the build changes whether you need to gather dirty water by hand. On my acid farm, I have a problem of having too much purified and dirty water to the point that it clogs the system. For mine I have multiple pumps going into a holding tank that I keep an unrefined acid in the top left corner of the inventory because it pulls there first. Then the holding tank feeds into the purifier, and the purifier feeds into another tank. I also have another tank that the holding tank feeds into to work as an overflow system. I don't use any of the smaller pumps and I still have the filters full at all times. I built the system to be gravity-fed. I might need to make an overflow system for the initial tank into which the water is pumped as well. Sorry, I rambled quite a bit there.
@TheGearhorn I'm using pump, only because I still want a decent looking house while it can still farm crops and acid. I'm also building for defense. But I'm thinking about taking it down because I can defend it without turrents and my lvl 2 current is too weak anyways
yo, huh, you probably know since its been 2 weeks now. but you can get a water pump, a little one in facilities --> function facility, and connect the big water pump to this one, then connect the little pump to the purifier and it will transfer automatically the polluted water to the purifier
This is the BEST channel so far that explained the passive Acid farm in just 3 minutes! Short and concise! There is no way I will not subscribe. Keep it up!
you still get radiation yes.. you just need to use items that will change your sanity back to normal when you go out into the open world.. also when you start upgrading your gear… you will see that this will help with radiation while at your base
I have this every time I move base, gave up and put in 6 biomass generators and use an automated logging platform to fuel them. They last over 130hrs each with 99 logs so it works well.
dude theres alot of important information displayed in the top left corner, we dont need to see half your face while you talk. but thanks for the video lol

hell yeah im glad this helped!! i also added the pipe.. for some reason it was bugged for me when making this video but now its working!!

This is the real end game boss...making acid lol
You can connect purifier to the barrel to stream pure water direct to barrel. Won’t work with impure acid though; Still requires manual.
You can put the pumps on the ground, not on water, to extract only polluted water, so you can control the flow of the impure acid more efficiently. Putting the pumps on water extract both dirty and polluted water.

you also dont need the compact filter. the osmosis purifier does that step for you already creating pure water.
How did you move along and done all the connections without your character moving? Is there any button to enter the spectre mode
You can actually wire the pumps together and connect only the last pump to the generator, idk if u care about wire management at all xD
You can connect the pumps directly to the filter you dont have to do it manually
it was bugged for me and wasnt working but now it is!! thank you
It wasn't bugged. U can actually reverse the flow of direction. By pressing F on the pump.
@@j3rw1n666 I am trying to do it but flow is in opposite direction. Pressing F on pump tries to move it
@aniket4600 get out of the build mode and make sure the pump is low enough where u can reach it then press F

The point of this isn't the pure water it's the acid, water is just a byproduct.

i checked your location on the map and for me it is not a polluted zone, is it a bug on mine?
Okay but if the rain catchers are also gathering polluted water, how do I sustain the pure water supply either my crops and barrel needs

how have polluted water ?
go into a polluted zone, you can see if it is a polluted zone by the green numbers on your backpack.

based on the video? :O I got 32 pieces in 12 hours :S
