    If you want a more yellowish patina you can use turmeric, dissolve some in a very little water apply on hands/markers. Put in oven for 10 minutes and done.

    Hey when do you plan to continue this series and show how you can age your case? I really appreciate your work and would like to try it out by myself.

      It's taking some time, but a case aging video is coming. Just curious, what kind of case are you looking to age? Steel or bronze or something else?

      @@DIYWatchClub Thank you for your answer. I will try to age some steel models. I‘m a big fan of the Laco Erbstück collection and would like to build my own.

    Good stuff! Will technique #1 (just baking the hands at 250°C for 30 minutes) also work on Seiko hands with Lumibrite lume?

    What about patina a lume pip, same method?

    • @DIYWatchClub
      @DIYWatchClub  Год назад +1

      We tried the method with a lume pip and got moderately successful results. But problem is you need a good solution of mask the non pip area, so you have more control over how aged the rest of the bezel insert become. Try it out, it should be a fun experiment!

    Which method did you use to achieve the patina at 6:08?

    • @DIYWatchClub
      @DIYWatchClub  2 года назад +1

      That's done with method 1 with higher temperature
