Totally didn't expect that accent and voice. lol. I'm half Korean, and half black, so I get that a lot too. I never thought about having rummy's and neons together. I wanted rummy's... but they aren't available locally, so I stuck with the neons. Maybe I'll add some Rummy's once I get a bigger tank. I have a 55 with 15 neons, 12 clown killifish, around 9-10 asian stone catfish, a bunch of cherry and amano shrimp, and 8-9 peacock gugdeons. Heavily planted. Started with just 2 peacock gugdeons, but they breed every other week.. and only 7 survived lol.
I'm only just planning to have my first aquarium and I've been looking at types of fish to have. I decided for a 40 gallon and almost exactly this setup: about 15 rummynose, 15 neons and 5-7 sherpae. Now I got to see how this combination looks like🙂. Pretty cool, actually🙂
I'm new to the hobby and got 8 of these beauties along with 3 smaller-sized loaches. The issue is, I think the lfs was a bit dishonest and sold me these along with a 6gallin tank. It was a nightmare to in-fish cycle but I got through. The loaches are extremely happy but the rummies aren't red (I'm sure the water readings and temp is good). I'm going to get a 20gallon just to make sure the rummies have the space they need. I think the lack of space in a 6gallon tank is stressing them out. I've been watching their swim pattern carefully and they simply don't have the room.
Hi I love your aquarium. I have the same size with 4 rummy nose tetras. What else do you have there in side and what quantities? What lite are you using for it? Very impressive setup.
When fully grown They eat baby cherry shrimp too. Seen it the other day. I fed them after they fasted for a day and i have a 2 incher that ate one right in front of me.
I have a 20 gallon long tank with 3 panda corners, a pleco, and 4 or 5 rummienose tetras. How many more rummynose tetras can I get. There heads are all red but they keep staying in the back of the tank. And if not more rummies how about neon and how many?
Too sensitive to moving and acclimating. I bought 6 yesterday and I’m down to 3 in 12 hours. Been keeping fish for years so I’m no dummy when it comes to adding fish. Unfortunately my first 6 were my last. 😢
@@kannadiga3644 yes I know that now sadly, when I research like top 10 fish for beginner online rummynose appear almost in all of them which they shouldn't be .

@@kannadiga3644 I did , I bought all kind of test strips and tests because when they dropped like flys I thought the test weren't working :( , to the point where (no joke) I test like 10 times a day, and use Api water conditioner. Rummynose were just not fit for someone just starting to keep fish like me, they were just too sensitive . And even the fish store recommend the rummynose for me :(.
That's awesome! The Rummynose are some of the best schooling fish I've seen and would make a fantastic addition to your tank once it gets thru the cycle.
Yes my 75 gallon is cycle is just been sitting there for two months now. The problem is my 10 gallon quarantine tank that's the one that's not cycle. I got 0 Ammonia but 2.0 ppm Nitrite and 10 ppm Nitrate.
I would cycle my tank first. Rummy nose are very sensitive to poor water. ONce the tank is cycled then I would add the tetras. Right now I have about 25-30 tetras in my 20 Long tank.
in my opinion anything under a 15 gallon should only be used for bettas or shrimps. Tetras are very active swimmers so anything under a 20gallon would be a bad idea.
I would cycle my tank before I put too many in there. But once your tank is well established then you can put the rummynose and cardinals in as well as whatever other fish you like. Right now I have about 25-30 Tetras in my 20 long tank and they are doing great!

Im loving the rummy nose tetra. I've only had them one week.

Yes, 6 gallons would be small for these guys. They love to swim back and forth. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
@@TropicalFishGuy I upgraded to a 20gallon about 3 weeks ago! Rummies are pleasnatly red, have the space for them and some simple decorations now :)
Thanks for your videos! Just got me 6 of these guys...what a cool fish...Now let's see if they decide to be shrimp hunters?

Oh no. Yeah. I had fish that I thought would be shrimp friendly but...not.
Dude, you're up in Dallas? I'm over in Tyler! What are the best freshwater stores to go to in Dallas for fish selection and hardscape selection?

Hi, I do have Rummy Nose Tetras. I would like to buy some Burmese Rummy Noses. Have you kept them?
What kind of frozen food? Do u thaw it first?
They love Brine shrimp and blood worms. I do not thaw first but a lot of people do.

What fish food do you recommend for freshwater fish?
There are alot of good fish foods. This video will show you what I currently feed my fish: ruclips.net/video/eJVfdT8tr38/видео.html
Also i have 12 and they school much more readily
They are wonderful schoolers. Some of the best i've had.
