Maybe the best album recorded in last 30 years regarding all global music, regardless any music genre
True... I loved it instantly. Just discovered it today (02. August 2024)
18:40 literally speechless at the emotion these guys invoke through this album. There are a great deal of enjoyable parallel's between Karg & Harakari but with this album exploring that slightly rawer side..soundscaping a depth of nearly "primordial" level of emotion. The way the "harsh" vocals are misleadingly simple and yet subtly they carry their own vast weight... sometimes even comforting in their "NEED". The way they intertwine in direct compliment to the music. Pushing each other "just a bit further" each time the other takes precedence. I cannot even attempt to capture in writing the incredibly wide array of "feelings" I get from this. It's as if your soul want to cry for all of the pain in life... Yet the heart still knows the triumph of our oneness..and ability to persevere and endure ALL. Makes you want to open your arms to the sky and watch as the heavens part... obliterating our demons each. Maybe this is indeed "the sound of HOPE". For it is all we have when naught else exists! GODSPEED

Dieses Album ist einfach so fantastisch, dass ich spätestens nach 2 Liedern direkt darin versinke. Es berührt mich auf so vielen Ebenen, wie es sonst nur Ellende geschafft hat. Absolut grandioses Album dass ich so schnell nicht vergessen werde ❤️
Ellende hat bei mir nie so wirklich gezündet, aber bei Karg habe ich auch ein paar Anläufe gebraucht. Vielleicht muss ich denen nochmal eine Chance geben.

Coming here from Harakiri for the Sky, and not disappointed at all. AMAZING!
I love this album! Somehow I got the vinyl early and therefore had the chance to listen to it early. The music is great, so melancholic yet uplifting and melodic at the same time - just the way I like it. I love it that Karg sings in their own local dialect since it brings this very special and personal touch to their music, although it makes it hard, even for a fellow German speaker, to understand the meaning - but that's what makes it interesting. Great record!!!

i actually prefer harakiri for the sky's Funeral Dreams (obv. same singer, but i like the writing for H4TS a bit better. all quality shite, though, all worth long repetitive listens.
J.J is my soulmate that expresses myself too with his music. Cya again soon in Greece
The Release of this Album was such a Gift. Very well done Karg. Good to see that post black metal is still alive and well. Full of painful temptation and dark madness. It shows me that existence is much more complexe and profound than the banalities of our everyday life make us belief.

Great band just found them! Karg means barren in swedish as well as in german but is also a friend of Skeletor in He-man...
Karg is also the german word for something ugly or a place, which got not in touch with any beauty or ecstatic.

Karg has never failed me. Not once.
Good stuff, the guitars are melancholic, depressive yet soothing at the same time, the vocals are desperate and emotional, reminds me a bit of Drudkh for some reason.

I found this interesting. Play this album at 1.25X and it sounds excellent.
I love the original speed but damn that extra .25X makes a huuuge difference. (Positively)
Found that with sooo many songs and genres, personal tip, try things like synthwave at that speed, it goes to progressive and goa in some instances, absolutely amazing. Tempo can make a very big difference in music. Only thing that gets a "little" bit ridiculous are blastbeats :p
