My parents went to church but after they divorced, my mom stopped going to church. I wasn't raised to go to church or read the bible or anything. But I am glad God put people in my life that changed that. I was baptized August 11th 2011. :) I love Christian music. It is so moving and beautiful.
I first heard this song when I was about 12. I'm 22 now, and this song is still special to me as both my dad and best friend committed suicide. PLEASE, if you are suicidal and/or depressed seek help before you act. Suicide leaves a hole that never closes in everyone you care for's heart.

Now that I know I'm going to let her know NON stop how important she is. How loved she is. How she's everything she thinks she's not. My heart hurts knowing she's hurting and has been silently until now.
I remember listening to this song when I was 13 and I kinda had a bad middle school experience because people treated me not the same and I was bullied and had no friends even my teachers didn’t help but listening to this song helped me to understand there’s good people out there to help you get back up and now I’m 20 I found good friends at the end if anyone is going through some hard times finding people or even your family can help you 😊😊

I used to listen to this song all the time just because it was emotional, but I never really understood what it was about until one of my good friends committed suicide last year... Now I can't help but keep coming back to this song.

Good friend of mine just commit suicide last night. Used to listen to this song all the time when I was young. Never thought it would actually apply to me
my friend didn't commit suicide per say. but she passed away a little over a year ago. she had a drinking problem and she also abuse pills all to help numb her pain and one day she just did too much and her body couldn't handle it anymore and she passed away... I miss her every single day

Oh, and sorry if this is a selfish request, but I think I've earned the right to ask this here, since I've been so open, honest, and vulnerable with you all in my other post. If anyone has the Jason Dunn solo song "My First Biggest Mistake" or knows where I can hear it, PLEASE let me know. It would make me happy :-) I've asked around and no one's been helpful yet (well, one guy was nice and tried to help, but he didn't have the song). Maybe I just need to be more patient, but I was just hoping the Hawk Nelson/Jason fanbase would be a bit more friendly and welcoming to a new fan. Especially since a lot of them are fellow Christians. But I know each band's fanbase is different.

Why do you feel that way?
I would like to understand why you think this way. In my mind, it's more of a representation of those suffering after ones suicide. It's not meant to make anyone feel guilty. People suffer immensely after suicide and constantly ask themselves what they could have done to stop it. This is a very normalized view of the after survivors of someone commiting suicide.i lost a friend in high school- barely knew him- and constantly asked myself what I could have done more to stop him. I considered suicide multiple times in my life and have never gone through with attempts.
