Yo, thanks for reaching out! There are still a couple of things I want to improve though, because I think atm the setup is too specific. You're a mac user, right?
I don't understand how to get gantools' script to run in terminal. when I dwnld the .zip, it just has python files. Anyone know what I then do with these? I even filled out the gantools --username bobobobob@gmail.clom --password wawawawawa --nframes 75 --keys 3362fdea9a91650baf22ed34 0f7653862c7ab68a82742315 8047b26c7097fd5b057b358f thing in my terminal, but it just says '-bash: gantools: command not found'. any ideas?
Hey, this rocks! Very awesome tool. I've been on a search for a way to get gantools working for me. I tried reaching out to the guy that made the repo, but nothing seems to be working anymore. Can you confirm that gantools no longer functions? I've been thinking about running ganbreeder locally and trying to adopt his tool to work on my localhost.
What kind of errors are you getting? I must admit, while BigGAN is a cool GAN, most people have moved on to using StyleGAN-x for image generation. (You can generate in 1024x1024). I think that at GANbreeder you can also access some StyleGAN models. Do check out StyleGANv2-ada and StyleGAN2 pytorch implementations on Github. To train you'll need a beefy GPU, but you can also train on Colab (check out Derrick Schultz). For inference, I've gotten a StyleGANv2 working at 11FPS on my 3gb GTX 1060. For small image manipulation explorations the framerate is fine. Lastly: I think the biggan model is available via tf hub these days: www.tensorflow.org/hub/tutorials/biggan_generation_with_tf_hub
@@DikkeHamster @DHam if you look at the issues on gitlab for gantools, you'll see among the most recent, a json parse error. Artbreeder changed something, or so it seems. My goal is to make procedural video that stays interesting, so you pointing me towards stylegan2 has been just fantastic. Seriously, thanks for taking the time to write back. I looked into Shultz and found some cool colab scripts. I grabbed some good 1024 pkl files off github made a couple of videos in exactly the way I'd want. You can see one if you search "trip candy trypophobia". I have a 1050 with 2GB of vram in a laptop, so the code on colab is glorious, BUT I'm a little worried about rending on colab in terms of automation. Colabctl (a remote tool for colab) has a big "out of order" sign on it because colab changed something back in August. Sorry to ramble, just wanted to say thanks. That aforementioned youtube channel "trip candy" will likely be in an ongoing automated state sometime this month jic that's the sort of thing that interests you.
@@geektechnique8233 I have no experience with automating colab stuff, but one trick that I found really useful is to inject some javascript into the console to keep your sessions alive. stackoverflow.com/questions/57113226/how-to-prevent-google-colab-from-disconnecting I checked out your vid. Cool stuff. I think you will really like Neural Synesthesia. He makes videos with stylegan textures that react on audio. ruclips.net/video/HZdnq8L88WA/видео.html
This is absolutely amazing. Thanks so much, dude! :D
