Home made nickel spot welder Pt1

Project build.
High current spot welder, made using a 500A starter solenoid. I will be using a Chinese spot welder as a trigger timer for the solenoid.
The mini spot welder works fine but cant carry enough current to reliably spot weld thicker pure nickel or nickel + copper sandwich.

Excellent adaptation! Now I need to get my own set up. Actually, for an aging friend in need of a new income path here on Nampa Idaho. Thanks for the excellent video on the complete replacement of batteries / packs!
