This 30 yr old knows what's up growing up black back in the days was fun. Especially since evertime we'd get together there'd be some kind of good African-American music doesn't matter what the genre was. Like it could be soul blues r&b funk hip hop jazz and even some rock music and country music. Because theirs black folks that make that kinda music too even back in the day. Like Charlie pride and Ray Charles for country music and you had Little Richard, Chuck Berry, bad Brains, living colour, Hootie & the Blowfish and Darius Rucker would end up doing country music later on in his career.

*I remember dancing to to 15 minute version at the Johnson's 1 Groove parties* in their basement (the size of the entire 1st level), and they charged $4.00, and the whole building was grooving. No one called the police *because most of the neighborhood was there* , including the neighbors (they charged to park on their property🤭). No fights, No Alcohol, No Internet, No guns, No cell phones, and the girls waited until the guys asked *them* to dance. *We actually danced* 😁! *Those were the days* !
My cousin had dances at his home every weekend. This is every ones favorite, and many more funkadelic music. Ahhh yes those were the great days. Bring back the old school tunes😃

I don't know about here in the states. But in Germany (Oct 1977 - Jun 1980). I was in the Army and stationed there. This song rocked. Especially at The old "Plantation Club" in Frankfurt Germany. I also had the pleasure of seeing "The One Nation Under A Groove Tour" In Offenbach, Germany November 1978. Still too this day. The BEST CONCERT ( and I've been too some very good ones) I've ever been too til this day.

George took lead vocal and sampled Herbie Hancock ( feet don't fail me now) and the Delfonics ( ready or not...here we come) and Junie brought in a Pollard Syndrum which upon hearing inspired Prince to write '' when doves cry' and the rest is as they say funk history
