Like it could be soul blues r&b funk hip hop jazz and even some rock music and country music. Because theirs black folks that make that kinda music too even back in the day. Like Charlie pride and Ray Charles for country music and you had Little Richard, Chuck Berry, bad Brains, living colour, Hootie & the Blowfish and Darius Rucker would end up doing country music later on in his career.

Just passing thur this was released 40 years ago i had this album somebody stole it .ps good job George for posting this sound good with no skip or scratch on it , i always had two just in cases ..ps cheers glasses up the best funk album of 1978. that right I said it✌ rip Bernie and Junie 🎵🎼🎶🎶🎼🎵🎤.
