  • Here is a quick and simple tutorial that I hope you find helpful. I focused on using just the fan brush and painting the classic Bob up and down trees. Hope this helps someone out there to make your trees even happier!
Highlighting of trees will be addressed in another short video coming soon.

I've been struggling with those 'Bob Ross' trees this week (the fan brush and I just aren't getting along) so I checked RUclips. Lo and behold this video pops up just in time! Very helpful. I'll also try making the noises which helps to create those trees, too.😊

Thanks for taking the time once again for specific brush technique. It’s really appreciated and well done. If you’re looking for a wish list, hehe, maybe one day you could post one on mountain snow breaks with the palette knife. I feel like I couldn’t possibly have a lighter touch but paint always wants to stuff off. I’m sure it just comes with time and practice, but your instructional videos are great and very helpful. Great tutorial! I’ve watched yours and one other and they are both great but I just can’t get it right! I think it’s my fan brush…when you make your taps you can clearly hear it on the canvas. I cannot on mine, I think ( correct me if I’m wrong) my fan brush is not stiff enough. I’ve been trying for about an 1.5 today and could never get a beautiful tree like yours. I will practice more but I’m also going to see if I can find a better brush.

The paint doesn’t seem to wanna come off my fan brush that easily. And when I press harder it seems to be the same way. I’m loading it pretty thick. With Bob Ross paints either mountain mixture or a random a color mix like Bob did. What am I doing wrong? I feel like I def have liquid white applied etc.
