You can see it is a fast model of a racing plane but are the landings too fast? Is it more difficult to fly than most sports low-wing models? It looks and sounds great!
Hello and thank you very much - the landing is not very quick, he just lets the gas stand, so she rolls out nicely ;-)
This Yak-11 is easy to fly for an experienced pilot, I would not recommend it for a beginner because this model already shows where the stall is in certain situations.
I see you had the intake modification to the FG-33r3 by Ray English, it's expensive but a big improvement for that engine. But, did you fly this model with the FG-33r3 before the modification? If so, was it good power? I'm curious if the standard FG-33r3 or an FA-200r3 will work well, as the intake mod for the FG-33r3 is good to have but expensive
this is "copied" and made on the engine myself. It runs much better and has 500-600rpm. more ...
Have you replaced all the CA hinges with better ones like the plastic ones or even pin ones from Robart if? I presume that plane likes speed so worried about the CA hinges to crack..

Vielen Dank - der Dämpfer ist zum Teil von einem 60ger "Gerhard Dämpfer", der rest ist selbst gelötet das er an den 33ger passt ;-)Schwerpunkt hat er den aus der Anleitung übernommen, passt perfekt. Viele Grüße

Hi just got mine,going with same engine. Looking at the firewall,did you put your radial in a y shape instead of a cylinder up top and the 2 one ach side?I can see see it won't fit putting the radial in normal way. Your advice would be appreciated. Cheers.
Hello, no, I know that for sure. Tobi has the engine installed normally (you can see it at 0:27). You have to swap the engineholder in the back right and left - then it works.

Hello, he needed 15-20g weight in the tail and the batteries are far back in the model. CG from the manual is OK ;-)

Hi marcus.today i used the same setup as yours with ramoser prop. I set the pitch around 11.but i only can get 7200 rpm at full throttle.how did you get the 8400?
I think your pitch is to high. other humidity, other fuel? The engines are not synonymous 1:1 equal 🤷♂️

@@RCPLANEVIDEOS i crash this plane 2 times due to stall once take off.This Plane is heavy i think.once take off its lack of power to pull up the plane.I tried with both blades as below but plane like to go to left down .When i pull elevator its not going up.after repair i want to test with 18x8 prop
1st i tried with ramoser prop 17x11
2nd with 3 blade 16x8

Is that the original retract come together with the model? Air or electric?
this is the original retract (included) and works with a servo. The wire to the servo you just have to replace it with a better and tighten all screws ;-)

Frage ist das der selbe Motor der vorher in der Gee Bee war ? Da hattet ihr einen 17x8 APC drauf . Und jetzt 17,2x11 .
Doch so ein Unterschied ?
hast recht 16D ... und Ja, auf der Yak fliegt er etwas mehr Steigung aber man kann die 2 Modelle auch schlecht miteinander vergleichen, die Geebee war mehr ein fliegendes kleines Faß :-)))
@@RCPLANEVIDEOS ok hab auch die gleiche Yak. Und mit dem APC 17x10 kam sie nicht aus dem Quark. Wollte den Motor schon ausbauen und habe dann noch die APC 17x8 ausprobiert. Und jetzt rennt die Kiste. Kaum macht man es richtig... geht's 😅😅

that's cut out ... cut out with a Dremel and line up, done ;-)

Did you try fly with with the pitch set to 17x12? Is that to high pitch for this engine?
the pitche can not be read 100% accurate. Maybe it's x11, maybe even a x12 ...
@@RCPLANEVIDEOS Thanks.. I wanted to try flying my ryan sta with fg33r3 using 17x12. Im flying with biela 16x8 3 blade right now. The torque is high but less speed
... i saw it on your videos. Interesting, a Rayn ST with radial engine :-)))
Biela is a bad propeller, true, high speed but little slope. Try a SEP or Falcon Propeller 2-blade 17x8 or 10 - you must test it
@@RCPLANEVIDEOS I really don't like the build quality or biela prop. Every time it hit the ground the blade layers will break like the fiberglass bonding is not strong. I lost most of biela prop due to hit ground.i never try sap or falcon prop before. I will try buy it
... so a SEP propeller breaks but also if he comes up on the ground ;-)

it is a very good ARF kit !!!
On the landing gear you have to swap the wire to the servo, by a better one. The other will bend it and secure all screws on the retract.
He has wheels instead of the 90mm now 100mm and the spinner is another. Otherwise everything was great on the kit ;-)
