You are me!!!! Thanks for the video, it’s been 28 years for me and I just got my early Christmas gift yesterday from my wife, a 2024 CRF250f. Glad regular guys are making video’s too.
You've got a huge advantage already knowing clutch control. Man that little mountain goat will damn near climb a tree in fist gear. That rear tire might be an issue on the climbs though. Ok, so you got your little stick to the foot warning.... you know what time it is. Boots! Tech 7s! You're doing awesome dude, the confidence comes with seat time. Oh, and yeah, sxs have ruined so many awesome trails. It's really a shame.
we rode this trail a few weeks ago, it's much more washed out now than this video shows. You can absolutely fall into the right side of that first climb now!
these CRF250F's are tractors for the woods....with a little bit of care (because there is NO radiator) will run for ever and even then a simple rebuild and your off again. This bike is for the realist at heart. Doesn't brake the wallet and has Honda behind it.
If your practice go slow, it’ll help you learn the balance for the faster things plus when you stand up, you can move around a little better and practice your weight, shifting for corners up and down hills so on so forth.
nice video i just found. like you back into bikes after 25+ years, riding a 85 honda 200xr. just tried hatfield and mccoy and you are 100% correct the camera doesn't do those trails justice in regards to steepness or difficulty. your video is the best i've seen so far that shows that. keep on riding! at least until we can't
I see this video is old, but just wanted to say, yes at this time you were new to it, but you were picking great lines to ride through stuff. 👍🏻 good job
Thanks for posting. Those trails look like fun but sometimes challenging terrain. I just picked up a super clean 2020 CRF250F and will be purchasing my Hatfield McCoy permit any day now. I hope to be able to hook up with some other riders as the weather permits. I have ridden some on the HM system in years past and always enjoyed the experience. Keep posting those videos.
Your like me lol I got back into dirtbikes last year after about well since the early eighties lol, that little bike right there is probably just what I need, but no I got a kdx200, talk about fun
Bought a 2015 ktm 250xcf today. I'm a sport quad guy that wanted to venture out. Has 30 hrs. Supposedly woods bike with some motocross capability. Hope it's more woods... I'm a beginner.
Nice trails you have to ride on, and riding boots really are a game changer. Took me a bit to get used to the lack of feel on the shifter and especially the foot brake lever but the safety factor is immeasurable.
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road? We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!

I’m not very good on a bike so I try to avoid the real hard stuff. I thought They were a good time.
That is THE longest clutch lever I have ever seen!!!!
Those trails look awesome! And thats a fine machine you have 😉
Great riding, coming down to the trails week of 6/18. Can't wait to be back in WVA.
you have the clearest, real-life camera i have ever watched. I could actually tell how steep the hills were. It scared me.

Crap I forgot to mention, check your rear brake pads. I was hearing some metal on metal that didn't sound good.
