- The GTA Online Bottom Dollar Bounties update is almost a month old. So its time for my in depth review discussing everything good and bad about the DLC. Giving my thoughts on the good and bad aspects as well as giving my final review score.

They named it right bottom Dollar because they put bottom effort into it. Love the police cars though but the content is disappointing until the adversary modes are drip feed. I liked the most wanted bounties some were fresh takes on missions. Cooldowns are the worst especially for Madrazo hits I mean really a whole day cooldown for that little of money 😒. Rockstar is ruining the game with cooldowns.
Aren't all daily activities supposed to have a 1 day cooldown? That's kinda the purpose of it is it not?

Rockstar purposely wants you to earn the least amount of money possible it's sad
No matter how many dlcs they make. It doesn't change the fact that this is an 11 year old game. With an outdated game engine and outdated game mechanics.

This update in a nutshell = cooldowns
There shouldn't be any cooldown on any of the standard bounties in my opinion for how little they pay, the cooldown for the most wanted bounties should be reduced to the standard 48 minutes at the very least with such underwhelming payouts 🤷🏻♀️

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the stupid sidesteps on the van and how they stick out way too far.

i swear , they add it to annoying us, so it's a lot more difficulty now to do curb boost on tight sidewalks with trees , signs and pillars on it

The Bombushka and the Bounty van was a letdown. Plus, the cop car price gouging also.

The cop car price was to be expected, but the zero resale for a personal vehicle wasn't. R* is just using GTA Online to test how much they can get away with in GTA 6.
Overall, this DLC is just the definition of why would I do this new content long-term if I can do this insert old content and make more money per hour?
That moment when a heist finale from 2017 pays more in the long term than a content update in 2024:

Fun > Money. But there are ways this dlc could be more fun for sure.
I think that’s a really shallow view of it. Not every dlc needs to pay out the same as the casino heist to be good or enjoyable.
@@1Chasgthat's the issue with content though, I prefer fun over money since I no longer really need money in the game I just want fun content. But they fail to deliver which is why I have only played GTA a few days so far this year

Boring missions ( only one i liked was sneaking at the movie studio to get Cleo Song), bottom tier payouts, meh dripfeed vehicles, lame dripfeed related activities.
Literally the only cool thing from the dripfeed is the Ludendorff zombies survival in my opinion.

I hated that damn movie studio. I ran around for 40 minutes just trying to find the right trailer. On top of that, I still had to find the freaking office. The game gave me ZERO hints that it was freaking Solomon Richard's office.
I don't get the solo timer changes for the bunker and mc businesses neither. Why not just make these businesses just give you 1 sell vehicle when you do the sell mission solo? This would make mc businesses very viable again, in fact my mc businesses would stop collecting dust if the sell missions only spawned 1 delivery vehicle if you start them as a solo player 🤷🏻♀️

Maybe even bring back duffel bag missions but "glitch" card whenever Rockstar removes piss easy sell mission types
Solo bunker sells are now 22 minutes which is plenty of time for most of the sells. Only Merryweather and the buggies are impossible to complete solo.

They just need to put in a Vehicle like a Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter, etc to deliver Merchandise. Or make more Semi Trucks available to own only those are available right now: Phantom Wedge, Phantom Custom/Hauler Custom as MOC or Barracks Semi via Pegasus.
This dlc is a letdown for me. I didn’t have much expectations before it came out, yet I’m still disappointed with it.
The most wanted bounty missions are so underwhelming ( aside from the car meet, O’Neal farm and that one with the backup van ).
The Vincent dispatch work has so much wasted potential. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so hard with this. The police cars are useless. All you need them for is to start a mission, that’s it. 4 or even 5mil for a one cop car only to start the mission, despawn the car, respawn the mk2 or sparrow, and get paid 25k for your efforts. That’s insane.
The quality of life changes ( aside from the sparrow buff ) are meaningless, especially the time extension for bunker sell missions. Yesterday I sold a full bunker with 3 insurgent pickups custom, and I still had 10 minutes to spare, which means that even without the extra time I would still finish it no problem.
The cars though, I actually really like the Paragon S and the Niobe.
Overall, this dlc is below average 4/10
Also they patched speedrun glitches for the Agency Contract.
This update is only second worse to the Mercenaries dlc, where they removed any vehicle that had a realistic price.
I got the Monster trucks and managed to sell my full bunker with only 15 seconds left on the timer. Aside from this, the Insurgent Drop-offs (one drop per vehicle, not the other one), and the Phantom Wedge mission. the rest are pretty impossible to do solo.

Personally I hate it lol. I log onto GTA Online on the PC, and you can see it on the poster for the DLC like "Well, here's the outfit, but you're never gonna get it!"
Contract was the final big update😢
And even that is garbage. No replay value, long unskippible cutscenes, and boring missions. No one really plays it unless it's paying $2X. And even with that it still sucks because it's just not fun anymore.

If only Rockstar brought back bag sales for solo MC sales. They were removed because of a bug but has been forgotten ever since. Bunker solo sales should be similar to airfreight land sales, we get either a car with five drops or a trailer with one drop.
I was basically done with this DLC after just 2 hours on launch day. I'll do a Most Wanted bounty if I'm bored, but that's it.
Maybe do a G's stash house and send the agents out too.

I bought the Paragon S by accident but I love it. It has Imani tech and the armor plating makenit great. Unfortunately, it's a two-seater vehicle.

It's funny how expensive the police cars are, and for that pricetag these pieces of shit better be pristine... and they are! Looks wise, at least.
Truth is, the missions are just a glorified version of headhunter that pays less, and headhunter isn't behind a paywall because you get a free CEO office, meanwhile you have to spend at minimum 2.5 mil for the cheapest cop car.
They're a buggy mess too, because they don't even work in missions where you need to use a police car. One of them does-the undercover cruiser-but that's bc it's the old model, and the new ones don't work.
Way too much money, for very little value. They didn't even bother to include a police chase scenario; chasing a criminal npc and having to stay close to them in order to win the mission would've been so fun.
Typical rockstar, listen to the community, ignore them for years, half-ass the fixes on half of their complaints and ignore the rest.
They put five classic police cars I wish they put stainer classic from gta 4 police car
I've said it before but they should just make future missions region-specific. If your business is in the city, it should only give you missions there and you would rarely need to go to the countryside. If you own a business in Blaine county, it should only give you missions near that area too.
I think this also makes it worth buying a property in the countryside. Imagine if you could do missions in the countryside without having to go to the city. It would be a great change of pace and a good QoL change imo.
11:28 also it's not the consumer's problem if the company has another game that they are working on. They are still selling microtransactions and gta + subscriptions for gta 5 so they have an obligation to make good updates for the game. We shouldn't have to hear excuses. It's their problem to figure out, not ours.

Your not wrong on changing vehicle stats being easy. I changed the Raiju's cannons to that of the Lazer with a simple copy and paste. FYI, Raiju with Lazer cannons is OP. Makes the Opressor MK2 look like a Bombushka.
It literally ended the game for me.
I'm a race creator, and don't do much in free roam.
Well, this update ended the ability to get randoms in your races for custom created jobs.
Rockstar told me they are aware of it and watch Twitter for any updates and told me my ticket would Auto solve after a week.
At best it won't be fixed until next dlc as they say they have no time frame.
I'm gonna have to rely on asking friends to test this every now and then with my jobs... But I'm afraid it might not ever be fixed like the Xbox controller bug.

Imagine this as a concept for this dlc:
Players with bounties can be captured by bounty hunters, either by them surrendering voluntarily (using a new surrender emote) or by force (stun gun). These players can then be dropped off at your bounty office to earn 4x the bounty value for bringing them in alive ($4000, $12000, $20000, $28000, $36000). To prevent keeping players permanently cuffed, bounty hunters have a time limit to return bounties to the office before they are allowed to eacape. Captured players simply spawn outside of the bounty office with their bounty removed. Players who surrender voluntarily receive a small RP bonus. Yes, the money isn't anything special, but the gameplay variety would be
In next update after Bottom Dollar DLC the main prioritize should added in the game was a 'Repair Tool' which is necessary helpful to use on, when your vehicle gets damaged in no matter how big it was.
Also some changes and feature as well:
Able to sold clothings that you don't need to keep some space from your wardrobe.
Adding countdown timer on businesses and contracts that are missing such ad Nightclub, Bunker, Tow Truck, and MC Warehouse.
Old aircrafts vehicles and latest aircraft has some certain missing customization. Like the lazer should have 1000 pounds dumb bomb, liveries, durability, performance, and countermeasure
More attachments should added both standard and MK2 weapons
Vertical Grip: stabilize vertical recoil.
Long Barrel: decrease RoF by 33% but increase weapon accuracy by +20%.
Short Barrel: Increase RoF by 33% but decrease weapon accuracy by -20%.
Reflex sight (Trijicon/Kobra/OPS-7/Coyote)
Low Capacity standard mags for - Combat MG/MK2,
Special ammo can able refill through interaction menu as shortcut.
Adding new Special Ammo types: (Subsonic/High-Power/Plasma/)
If I'm being perfectly honest. The name of the DLC shows me how I really feel about it. It really is bottom dollar content. I would rather have a San Fiero map expansion, but that's just me. What to y'all think?
Classic Rockstar stun baton would be useful for bounty mission.. also Rockstar will give it out when Halloween comes out 🎉😂😮
The Gauntlet Interceptor is a modern police cruiser
I just realized that we don’t have any properties in mirror park to buy and I find it weird cause paleto grapeseed and sandy are all places where you can atleast one property/bussiness
Did everything I could on it. Once I got the bounty hunter fit I just left the business to rot and went back to Cayo and my nightclub
One thing I don't see anyone talking enough about is how R* sneakily changes and introduces the 0$ resale value of the new and old cops cars, how do we players let them charge a kindey and more to buy one of them and then not let us sell it for even a fraction of the cost. I haven't played the game after the update but have been keeping track and just feel like not purchasing any cop cars anymore due to this change, thankfully the cop cars I already purchased before this change still sell like normal, just wait until they fix that too those scums
I never hear Jennette, Agent 14, Moodymann, Sessanta, Pavel, Lester, Trevor, or any other NPC in-game dialogue because I only play GTA muted. The police vehicle purchase system should have been modeled after the Insurgent Pickup Custom and Technical Custom that converts Pegasus vehicles into personal vehicles if they were meant to have no resale value. There is no reason to own more than the Gauntlet Inceptor since they all have a high price tag and do not offer any new vehicle features such as a grill-mounted EMP gun.
My main gripe about the Bail Office is that the payouts are far too low for all the effort you put in to the various jobs associated with them, from the Hourly Bounties, to the Most Wanted Targets, to the Bail Office Agents that cost $750k a piece.
Now if the payouts were doubled across the board, then I might think the Bail Office is a worthwhile business to run.
And this isn't even mentioning the outright price gouging scheme Rockstar is running in regards to the prices of cop cars on Warstock.
It was supposed to be cops and crooks which sounded like it was shaping up to be a great update. We got forgettable nonsense that was meta-irrelevant several years before it was even released. The missions, characters, and payouts are just far below average. If ONE of those three things were different I’d think it’s a fine update. It’s super obvious that rockstar has their interns’ interns on GTA online these days.

I think they should be no time limit when we sell out business, it takes lots of real time hours to make the product just have 15 to 45 minutes to sell.
Tbf you dont even need to drive the Van to each Bounty Location you can just fly over there and Subduing the Target Teleports the Van to you Mid Cutscene. Makes it not as much as a hassle to do the missions
The new drift race creator and props are great..except your custom job won't show on social club 🤦♂️ I like the 3 additions to the drift vehicles too.
Yeah, a 5 or 6 sounds fair. I'm glad for the new poloce cars and that they added more customization options, like the new emergency lights, but overall they could have done a better job of adjusting the jobs to the theme, like you said with the dispatch work
I’d honestly give this dlc a 3.5/10. Shitty payout for the bounties making it not worth to do all the time, only time I do em is if im bored, I could care less about the money. Plus to try to put progress into the tier 4 challenges that don’t give a whole lot either, just some things that are mostly meh, imo. I didn’t have high hopes for the DLC anyway but still. Some of the cars I like, like the Niobe or the paragon s, prolly the only two cars I mostly ever use in the game out of the dlc. The Vincent missions are ok but they’re really not all that either…
I just want two things:
1) Imani tech and armour on police vehicles.
2) Police variant of the Insurgent
I just want a police charger or a police explorer and I'm happy
The motorcycle club was very bountiful when they still did double money (with freinds), but they never do it anymore😢 so I grind casino.
Honestly, this update felt more like a weekly update with few new content. It would be on par with Halloween events, not much to it to make the game feel fresh.
I wish Ghillie would make more videos like this, I get really sad when I see the 2 minute long videos 😭
There should be a business with bunch of armored cars with minigun armor plating unlockable stuff so it can take long
I like Ghillie's idea to add a distance bonus to the regular Bounty Hunter missions. Most of the time, changing sessions doesn't help avoid the trip out to and back from Paleto Bay...or let one of our assistants drive the fugitive back for a SMALL fee. We could follow behind and take out the attacking enemies.
I usually enjoy any dlc for about few weeks, even if everyone is pointing out that it's weak or horrible, or even both. In this case, it didn't even last for me a week since there were so many things being done wrong, along with half baked stuffs thrown in like they don't even care about GTAO anymore. I'm sure even a single modder can do better jobs than the current state.
I'm a sucker for police stuffs so if it wasn't for the newly added cop cars, I do easily give it a 1/10. That's how bad this dlc is (even with it, it's still like a 3/10 for me).
I'm also not buying the "iT'S BeCAUsE GtA6 iS pRIoRitY" bs. They're just gaslighting the fans at this point and they're fully aware of it.
Make the bounty van to where we can start the bounties from it.
I pretty much have gone back to getting on every Thursday to see the discounts and that’s it once I completed the T4 challenge. I still think the Mercenaries update was the worst since it was like 6 missions and that’s it; the Raiju was the best part of it since it’s my go-to vehicle for crossing the map.
I absolutely despise the bounty van, I can't tell you how many times I've clipped something while out running the pursuing NPCs only to have the van completely turn around and expose me to their 100% accuracy killing me in the process.
Also having to hear what's her name ever time I start up a bounty is really unnecessary.
Rockstar is killing theirs own DLCs because they are drip feeding the content itself, back when it was simply the cars and outfits it was manageable. Don’t even call it a summer DLC if I have to wait until December to get everything from the DLC
They could give us a police helicopter so we could use that for PB missions. At least then it keeps with the theme. And for the sake of Pete, can we get the police motorcycle while they’re at it.
No new weapons. No cop outfit, despite having police vehicles and missions. Almost every new mission sending you to Paleto Bay. Removing the mask/shades/helmet merge glitches. And the new cop cars are super underwhelming compared to the first ones we got.

The whole bounties thing is a solid "meh". RDO's bounties are still fun. If they had put that bounty system in GTAO, it would've been way better. I don't even do any bounties anymore.
The Post Op vans still need a buff. My friend and I did one last night, and even with no greifers, and us tag-teaming the third van, there was only 3 minutes left when we completed the sale. 3 minutes. With a duo. There is no way you can solo it.
The best part of this dlc is that the tier 4 was easy to get, hope it enjoys me ignoring it's content now.
Could be worse. I still remember how barebones the "Criminal Enterprises" update was.
I’d give this update a 6.5/10. I didn’t mind the new vehicles we got with this update. I didn’t like that the cop cars have a $0 resell value, that’s one thing I have a problem with this update. The biker business sell missions for solo players going from 30 minutes to 45 minutes is a plus for me. I wasn’t expecting this update to be amazing. I do agree that we should have gotten the cop outfit as a reward for doing a certain number of the dispatch missions. Probably guessing we won’t get it with the December update. Speaking of the December update, hopefully Rockstar has a great update planned since gta 5 online is in its last full year until we move from Los Santos to Vice City sometime next year and Rockstar should end off gta online with a bang and also end it on a positive note and hopefully Michael Townley/DeSanta will be in the December update.
As soon as you re done with tier 4 progress (if you do care), after that there's zero interest
i only grinded it for the bail agent outfit. don’t think i’ll ever complete the entire tier 4 challenge mainly because of the 1mil from agents requirement
The Bombushka should have the armor equal to or even greater than the Avenger
I discovered a weird goofy glitch. So if you had your vehicle spawn in front of any of your property as you load it in after you log into gta, if you go to your garage to use a different vehicle, as you exit the garage with your vehicle, it suddenly disappeared like poof. Yeah, ik it sounds strange
I agree, "Go to Paleto Bay", or any long distance mission should have a multiplier. That'd be cool.
And GIVE THAT VAN SOME RAMMING POWER! Also, fix the hitbox. I'd love more OG style vigilante missions, like older GTA's. But I get it - potential Megalodon death. One night in 2005, I spent SIX HOURS, driving a tank in a loop in San Andreas. When I finally got out, poor CJ was a skeleton....but a $101,000,000 richer skeleton! First purchase: Burger Shot.
So far, I'd give this DLC a solid 6/10. Silly patches and those cooldowns...👎
I enjoy the bail jobs. The pay is not up to par though. I'm a high level so the pay doesn't matter to me but its just not worth it to for newer players. that seems like poor design by rockstar. Same thoughts on the Vincent police car jobs-fun gameplay but bad payout. Thanks for the video Ghillie. Keep up the quality content!
Nowadays I rate dlcs by how much they make me wanna boot up the game to play their content and for this one I only played once on release and that's it. Dull way to view it I know but that's just reflective of how little there is to new updates these days. 2/10
Their effort went towards patching outfit glitches and disabling accessories/style menu during jobs. They can eat dog droppings as far as I’m concerned.
- I was big on a GTA IV style Top 10 Most Wanted's being a Weekly Collectible style thing for a few years on GTAF... this update was a happy medium between that and nothing at all.
- Big unfortunate focus on artificially roadblocking Career Progress with Most Wanted's being 1 per day &pre-selected, along with what are 6 smaller freeroam missions "tripled" simply by creating 18 named characters - even though I got 17/18 on the first day. Maybe if it were 1 Most Wanted per day, you hold them in a specific isolation cell, which prevents you from hunting other targets until they were processed and a 5 day cooldown on them becoming available again - that would've preveted repeats while also not roadblocking players to playing all 6 Most Wanteds.
- Given a German(?) newswire, I initially specc'd that Bail Office gameplay would be strictly/mostly tied to Blaine County, with Dispatch Work being strictly Los Santos... however, given extremely lacking nature of Dispatch Work, it's a good thing that wasn't the case... even though it probably should've been.
- Dispatch Work... I hope they got Vincent's VA to record a few extra missions worth of intro dialogue so they can add more down the line, because a mere 4 of them that take about 2 minutes to complete is alarming.
- I do wonder what stopped them adding the originally planned CnC Adversary/Arcade(?) Mode from 2020 with this update. That may have been that one extra thing to tip the scale into a solid good quantity update for this late in the lifespan.
- Advertising Gen9 Clothing/Liveries in all the marketing? Bad move.
Why do we get a new van every update? I would’ve preferred if they let us upgrade the swat van and used that as our bounty car instead of just a van
Another one that I for got to : add was the Golf cart .
I would do the standard bounties if all of them were unique for each target, not copy paste.
If I'm being completely honest I don't really find GTAO content to be exciting anymore
I returned to the game a few months ago when I got my PS5 and after playing the game for about a few weeks; I realized that I wasn't really missing out on much and Rockstar basically never really cared to add anything that was meaningful for me to check out.. One of my favorite things that I used to love in GTAO was running Cayo Perico while having my passive businesses produce in the background and ever since the Cayo Perico nerfs that Rockstar has added to the game in previous DLCs it killed my enjoyment for the game as a whole, and this DLC is pretty much the final nail in the coffin for GTAO as Rockstar has shown that they don't really care about putting a tiny bit of effort into their DLCs to please returning players of the game
so for anyone reading this comment and was thinking about returning to GTAO then I highly recommend u play other games until GTA 6 drops as ur not really missing out on much

I feel like people raise their expectations too high ignoring takes twos words "don't expect nothing too big on the next upcoming DLCs for GTA online" the newsletter might've quoted "big" but I feel like it was a simple type error but people are fooled easily anyway. The GTA community are becoming fickle and need to lower their expectations for now on they need to accept that. I agree rockstar are making horrible decisions that too needs to be addressed

First off I don't buy the typo argument it sounds like complete bs, Secondly sure they are lowering the content in updates everyone accepts that but like how do you justify the shitty payouts, the incredibly high prices, the cooldowns and this disappointment that was the bombushka "buff" (how hard would it have been to increase it more it's literally just numbers, in fact all of this could have been very good if they had just meddled with a few numbers here and there), actually how do you explain them taking the time to *patch the telescope glitch and the workaround that was found a few days after* if they're so much into "not working on GTAO because GTA6 comes out soon", all this to say I don't believe people should "lower their expectations" like you say (and I hate that expression bc you see it used by "white knights" trying to defend million dollar companies everywhere now and it's so anti-consumerist but whatever), we already have lowered our expectations, like I mean obviously no one expects a Cayo Perico or The Contract level DLC but we expect the bare minimum and this is even lower than the bare minimum

I usually play the DLCs hard for a few months before I get bored, but with this one after I got all 25 bounties I stopped doing them back to back. Now I just do the most wanted, and I've gotten the same ones damn near every day. I just got the O'Neal for the second time.
Is there a secondary loot for Brock? I have yet to notice it if there is. Or is that what is on the container ship? I never even go over there 😂
The van is the biggest hunk of shit and goes flying if a leaf looks at you.
Something that kind of bypasses the pre bounty talk once she starts, go to the pause menu and close out of it, stand up and sit back down. Sometimes it works, or it takes just as long for her to stfu as it does doing anything else.
Vehicle cargo is even better than the bail office and that's one of the worst businesses in the game.

I was not expecting anything special and all the hype from others about cops & crooks was Meh to me, I remember the hype when after The Contract DLC everyone was going on and on about a Michael DLC all because of 1 line in a mission, and that didn't happen.
As a PC player I have done all the missions, gotten all the awards on the stats page of the menu and finally gotten for the office all 4 trophies (the plant, certificate, handcuffs and the big badge trophy). Will likely not touch the business again accept for the 1 parking space in it I have left.
Had they made the cop cars have armor plating and imani tech, this update would've been atleast a 7 out of ten. Theres just no way in hell i would buy a 5 mil cop car that has no use in freemode

New long awaited cars like the merc or the foxbody mustang heck even a police foxbody mustang an i8 the lidt goes on! pretty ok mission, im happy for it id like a movie studio michael dlc i love classic holywood clichés, all in all Great DLC

I think it was a good thing to add variation. I hated playing this game with friends who constantly wanted to do Cayo heists to make money. Sure this doesn't pay well money wise, but some of the missions are fun, and that pays more for time and enjoyment than gta money is worth in my opinion. Is it the best? Probably not, but is it the worst? No. We've had far worse.
