The festival’s opening event brought the vibrant culture of Cuba center stage with performances by the Latin Grammy Award®-winning “Diva of Buena Vista Social Club” Omara Portuondo, the Havana Lyceum Orchestra, jazz composer and dazzling pianist Aldo López-Gavilán, acclaimed composer and musician Yosvany Terry, piano sensation Jorge Luis Pacheco, the renowned Orquesta Miguel Faílde, multi-award winning, classical guitarist Alí Arango, and Grammy®-nominated Aymée Nuviola.
