    Anzac Day 2005.
Pies narrowed the margin by 19 to 14 but still lost unfortunately

I wonder whether they came back and won

They lost on this occasion. But a 19 point 3/4 Time deficit would be nothing for today's Collingwood team. Essendon have already been on the receiving end of at least 2 of their great final quarter comebacks from sizeable 3/4 Time deficits.

Some context. It was a lot more difficult for teams to comeback late in games... the new 6-6-6 rule, amongst other, opens things up.

Pity they don't talk like that today, you would think today's coaches are coaching the school 1st 18, soft.

I think that it was Anzac Day in either 2003 or 2005. It was definitely in an odd numbered year. Collingwood were wearing the white shorts, and they always wore the white shorts in Anzac Day matches that were played in odd numbered years at least right up until COVID-19 interrupted the 2020 season.
