One thing I've started implementing that's been super helpful is to never lie down unless you're going to sleep. I'd always lie on my bed or on the floor or ok something else while on my phone or watching a show or reading. Ever since I stopped lying down unless it's time to sleep I sleep so much faster. As soon as I actually lie down now my body knows it's time for sleep and I knock out

I need this as Ramadan ruined my sleep schedule. I am usually only getting 4hrs of sleep but somehow my fasted workouts and bike rides haven't been that bad but I am so excited to get back to training hard and sleeping properly. And I have some black out curtains coming in tomorrow.

I got $10 light gray blackout panel curtains from Target last months, they are perfect for the price.

side sleeping is actually a lot better for clearing out your brain of toxins and the like. it is what makes you wake up more refreshed

Do you think it’s ok to read in the “wind down hour”? It’s a little bit stimulating I would think but I’m curious what you think

Maybe try an eye mask. I’ve found I go to sleep faster and I reach a deeper sleep with it but the downside would be you wouldn’t have the natural sun effect if you have a sunrise alarm clock like what he talked about
