Idols are allowed to maintain friendships with another groups, even if they are not in the same company. THE ISSUE comes when the idols image is at stage, for example BLACKPINK is not allowed to appear at another's company videos or pictures because their faces are literally trademarked (the most common example is lisa in clc's sorn vlog). But actually the big 3 girl groups, red velvet, twice & blackpink are all friends with each other, some even really close like yeri and nayeon, jennie and irene, rosé and joy, jisoo, jennie and nayeon and so on. Fans even call yeri and sana "the idols collectors" because they are friends with half of the kpop industry 🤠
Also only idols really know what idols in general go through in the industry and as such it's almost like it wouldn't even make sense to be in competition with each other, they are on the same side and there's a sense of comradery that is maybe one of the saving graces while you are active. I perfectly understand how someone would think there would be a sense of rivalry when the most evident side of Kpop one can experience is fandoms but it's important to distinguish fan wars, and truly pitiful behaviours from a few, from reality.
@@OpinionatedMatt so sooooo agree to this! Especially in girl groups I noticed how they just really strongly and genuinely support each other well because the industry is obviously misogynistic and the societal status in Korea is still very patriarchal
When they said they raised Yeri, it was literally true at least in some part. Irene would iron Yeri's uniform every day and I'm not sure if she also cook breakfast for Yeri every day when she was in school. The members would do a lot of things to help Yeri feel like she's still a normal kid. They're honestly sweethearts.
A lot of SM artist has stories like these actually. The older members helping out the younger members and practically raising them. Sehun was babied (still is) by his hyungs and would constantly feed him while he was younger. Taemin would be escorted to his class by his members when he debuted and was attending high school to prevent him getting bullied. There's a lot more stories like that. I think that's one of SM artist strong points. They make sure that the members of their groups create a strong bond by letting them rely on each other. They really create a family instead of just being members of a group, if that makes sense. That's why most of their groups last a long time and even if they disband or members leave their company, they still gather or meet.

I am so annoyed why the Wendy part does not show off her talent in singing. There are so many videos that show Wendy singing live but not included in the video, it really annoys me as a Wendy fan.
I feel the same with a lot of guides, but this one was actually not too bad because they included clips from their b-sides which were good, but that last clip they used of "Last Love" was disappointing because the audio was terrible, and there's definitely a lot of clips they could have used instead😒

like I think you know kai and Taemin are close to each other also they are close to Jimin (BTS I mean ... I just say that because there are other Jimin in Kpop too) and Ravi from VIXX.

Most of the idols know each other cause their training period sometimes make them go around companies. This rivalry is mostly between fans cause most of them are friends.
I... Joy is a very underrated vocalist too (along with the rap line). Between the three girls of the vocal line she truly has a voice that sounds like honey~ I don't know if you remember Tiffany's face but they look similar with how fresh and how their eyes smile along with their lips. Tiffany has a soft spot for Joy too! Honestly, Soshi and RV together is just the cutest! (Taeyeon/Soshi = RV's moms) This guide is indeed very helpful and good! I think you'll be delighted to know that Yeri has been learning songwriting and producing and has written a few songs already. There's a series of fanmade videos of RV just being crackheads, I'm sure that will be a fun watch for you in the future. Great video! And I love how you're literally on your way to stan SM groups. Once you find some time, I do suggest checking on SHINee (Taemin's group). Some people might not agree, but I've been stanning these groups for so long and I always see Soshi = EXO and SHINee = RV.
