For those of you unaware, an update was released via the Microsoft marketplace last night (June 2nd) between 0:00 and 1:00 ZULU and consisted of the following fixes and improvements: * Fix: Corrected issue with Bronze Burgundy and Silver Sting liveries where the AO map for the open handle was too dark. * Fix: Corrected a bug with tyres blown out where the left tyre was the only one being animated. Now both left + right are animated correctly for these events. * Fix: AI traffic (S4 as a MP airplane) missing sounds under certain circumstances. * Fix: Parking Brakes axis assignments were causing an issue with the chokes logic, this has now been corrected. * New feature: Users now have the option to switch between tinted canopy and clear canopy via a new setting on the EFB.
There is no mixture lever. You can start with propeller pitch in any setting. There is no park brake either. Remember it is ultralight. I guess it behave different from other normal GA aircraft in real life too. Was a no brainer purchase for me.
First of all thx for the short review. But and now thats a big BUT I'm a bit split on this review itself. Sorry to say but it looks like it wasn't that well prepared. Even the EFB faq wasn't checked completely as it would have answered some of your questions. This is a Ultralight GA with a very high glide ratio and a Rotax engine. The engine start with the prop on low is perfectly fine as long as the outside temps are high enough to keep the Rotax running. Try that on a cold day without the choke. And it will starve. Another thing, there is no parking brake on this plane. Thats what the chocks are for. Stall behavior another one, due to its wing setup and impressive low speeds it will just stall as you observed and won't do nasty things on you. The observed behavior on the roll again is perfectly fine, too. Engine starving cause fuel flow stopped, after that you are doing quite a dive and the engine windmilling will just start it again with fuel coming in again and mags on both. Can't see an issue here. Even the engine sounds where back. So in general a short visit of the real world POH should have shown a lot of the observed things are spot on. Even the RPM behavior like mentioned in a comment below. Please keep the quality of your channel high and do some more preparation in front next time ;)
Overall a nice review, but you have to remember that this is an ultralight so its flight model is a bit different from a GA aircraft. Second, the developer spent a lot of time working with IRL Sting S4 pilots so I believe it is very realistic in its handling and flight model. Some comments from the developer on his discord: ...with regards to the heavy rudder use in the video you had a 10kt crosswind and again this is an ultralight. With regards to the propeller control it is a propeller pitch adjustment and not a conditioner. It is a 10-degree adjustable blade that can move from 10 to 20 degrees so you won't notice any change at idle, this is because the governor of the rotax engine takes over and keeps things going. He also has a couple of updates for issues with the brakes and some other items that should be available as an update on Thursday or Friday of this week depending on how long it takes Microsoft to review them.
@@Q8Pilot thank you so much... I've been a follower of this channel for so long since I was little.. now after so long I'm even going to flightschool in a few months... The aviation and flightsim community is really sensational

Thank you for the info. It is a good effort and very promising addon.

You are absolutely correct in that I haven't prepared well for this one. Well noted.
@@Q8Pilot bravo for taking it like a man and not getting all defensive

Same aircraft that Dutch girl 19 years old flew around the world a few months ago
Bad review of an amazing GA-aircraft :-(
So how can I make this a great review of an amazing aircraft?
