Thank you for bringing attention to this. The moment I began searching for resources on ADHD, my social media feeds became filled to the brim with ads for apps, courses, programs, and supplements all promising to recover my life from the ravages of ADHD. I would love a larger conversation in our community about the level of commercial predation by companies targeting people with ADHD. IT’s sickening.
It NEEDS to be discussed more! I was shocked to find out that the most conversation there was about it so far was simply on Reddit. I hope it’s talked about more and more as we go.
the liven ad campaign looks like a copycat of Wisey, which disappointed me greatly. the grifters have found a willing population of potential victims, because we KNOW our lives could be better, if only we had the right tools. /s. just work harder, stop daydreaming and focus. yeah right, then msybe my dsmaged frontol lobes will heal themselves and all of my executive function will rise to normal levels.
Kudos for creating awareness about these apps 👍 In my case, the ads are focused on anxiety. The ads themselves, specifically the people (influencers?) featured, are almost an insult to those who actually struggle with mental health.
Were just bout to buy one of This cash grabby apps out of frustration and then this video popped up - thank u so much for taking yr time discussing this important topic !! ✨🧚🏽♀️💖
I saw an ad for wisey that i thought was advertising sun glasses that would maybe block stressful blue light or something, that led to a questionaire. I took a questionnaire and it asked for my email. Needless to say i was annoyed. CORPORATE MEMPHIS LOOKIN AHH CHARACTERS 😂
Yes. Watched another video where she's was being interviewed. In 5 minutes gave top notch realistic but positive observations and advice for anyone who is distracted easily.
Thanks for this (glad I checked before getting duped). I consider myself to be somewhat intelligent, but when you’re desperate for answers/help, you can do some silly things (especially when impulse control is an issue).
I had one that said they would prescribe me medicine. Charged me $80 and just sent me a copy of the questions I answered and at the bottom it said “you have ADHD”.
I do wonder if these are "plans" for managing ADHD generated by chat gpt and the subscription money is paying for the chat gpt subscription + profits for maybe the website operator.
Yep, I just seen this wisey AD and went through the questions out of curiosity… At the end of it.. it was a 19.99 charge (didn’t put my card in) but looked mad sketchy.. bothers me because some might fall for it and the site claimed multiple psychologists would put together the plan 😢
Basically all of them their main active ingredient is caffeine, which, yeah, that helps, but not nearly on the par of proper prescriptions and therapy.
I took the quiz and I am very familiar with ADHD. I knew my quiz answers would not rank me very high…yet the results said I was extremely high on the spectrum….I knew something was wrong with this. It is a shame that you have to fact check 100% of everything that is presented because people are making money on our lack of self awareness and failure to research what we see.

Thank you for confirming my doubts. As soon as I was 2 minutes into your video, I deleted the pitch that came to my email.

I've subscribed purely on the strength of this one video.
Yes. Watched another video where she's was being interviewed. In 5 minutes gave top notch realistic but positive observations and advice for anyone who is distracted easily.
