How do u deal with the oil getting into your eyes? I use castor and avocado oil on my eye lashes and see thicker longer lashes within a week. But it was very uncomfortable for my eyes as the oil seep into them and I get very blurry vision.
I only do it at night right before going to sleep and just a single drop is more than enough! It soaks in well and shouldn't irritate your eyes too much. Try using less and let me know if it helps! :)
Hi Niveda. Yenakku nee romba romba puddikum. I have been doing oil treatments on my face ever since I remember. The best face masks are the green gram mavu paste mixed with milk or powdered oats with milk cream or kadalai mavu with youghurt. These also acts as good gentle scrubs. I have never used any store bought products. Wish you success
Omg all of it feels so natural to me ..I am going to try all of it !! I have already tried the castor oil .Olive oil aloe gell and vitamin e on lashes ..The results are just unbelievable
Fullers earth+aloevera gel +rose water = best natural mask ever. You can add sandalwood powder for brightening purpose also. Plain aloe gel works as a mild face cleanser alone as well.
Hi Niveda..I’ve been using green gram mavu and kadalai paruppu mavu with kasturi manjal as face mask ever since I remember. Make a paste with either yoghurt or milk. Scrub it off once it is dry or just wash it off.
Love your routine! I haven't tried the Aztec clay mask yet that people are mentioning, but I recommend Queen Helene Mint Julep. I've loved it for YEARS. Oh, and just honey or honey with apple cider vinegar is great too.
Hi Niveda. New subbie here! :) Was just wondering if you've tried any of the Indian hair oils and what you think of them, or if you prefer your hair oil concoction?
Sorry, i was referring to the popular indian hair growth oils and the ones used to prevent hair oil- like Navratna or Trichup or ones with Amla and such (which are used similarly to your castor oil concoction 1-2-3x a week). There's an indian grocery store near where I live and I've looked at the hair oils for some time and was just wondering how they compare (i.e. special indian ingredients). I've tried the Navratna one; mixed in aloe vera with it and sometimes coconut milk or coconut oil on the ends similar to how you apply your mask. But I will try yours as well and see how I go. I've also used rose water from the indian grocery store in the past and I like it too; trying aloe vera spray now which I like as well. Thanks for getting back to me :)
@@niveda108 Hi Niveda! Great video, new subbie!! I just recently started using oils trying to grow back my severely damaged hair, purchased a ton of products just not sure how to use them correctly. I love your face routine, will be trying it now. I was wondering if you have any good recipes for hair? You mentioned using coconut oil in your hair, alone or mixed? Do you prefer it over argon? Just one more question, is organic rosewater good for hair? I seen a review on it, she claims it's the best for dry, damaged, frizzy hair, massaged in the scalp and sprayed all over the hair alone or in DIY hair masques. I just used it staight about 2 hours ago, massaged into scalp and sprayed throughout hair and I'm worried! It seems to have made my hair frizzier!!! Also parts of my scalp are really itchy, which is something I've never had a problem with before! Can I add something over it, like argon? I have olive, castor, jojoba, shea butter, coconut oil to name a few, if not the argon would any of those work? I can't believe how itchy it is, she said rosewater was great for people who suffer with dandruff or itchy scalp...something I've never experienced before! REALLY hoping you could suggest something! Do you have any DIY's for damaged hair? Thank you so much!
Hey Niveda, I am a bit skeptical about using castor oil on face as it might stimulate facial hair growth as I already have hairy skin :( do you think it could be a problem? I really want to start using oils as my face wash guess I'd just try olive oil.
+mashal Huda Don't use olive oil by itself as face wash! You can use olive oil as a makeup remover but without the castor oil it will not 'wash' your face - you would have to use an actual face wash product. Although I may not be completely accurate in saying this, from my experience and from reading about other experiences, oil cleansing with castor oil does not contribute to facial hair growth at all! I've been doing it for months and it hasn't caused any extra hair growth. When i use castor oil specifically to grow hair (on my head or lashes or eyebrows) I keep it there overnight. With oil cleansing you wipe it off, and if you are hesitant, you can wash your face with some cleansing product afterwards also. Overall, oil cleansing has been amazing for my skin so I think you should give it a try but it requires castor oil because of its astringent qualities!
+niveda108 oh ok lol...I tried olive oil itself today and yh it felt a bit greasy and did not 'wash' :p I will try it with castor oil now. Thankyou very much for taking the time to address my query :)
In France we use a green clay powder, which I have found in the UK as well. Simply mix a teaspoon of clay with either a teaspoon of water or a hydrosol, for example rosewater. By the way I'm watching this video after watching your "how I use organic oils every day" , and OMG your hair has GROWN in 7 months!!! I'm definitely going to use the olive and castor oil blend on my scalp!!
With the clay mask, leave it on until it's dry, which can take upto 25-30 mins, or sooner if it starts to feel uncomfortable, but a little bit of tightening now and then is normal. If possible, use a natural sponge and cold water to remove the mask, and applying rosewater afterwards will soothe the skin. Yep, I use it as a toner too!
Picked up some rosewater today, thanks to you :D I put it into a spray bottle and I keep it in the fridge. I'm planning on using it as a toner and as a finishing mist after I finish my makeup.
Girl, I have been watching videos for weeks and while I have found good ones, yours is straight to the point and amazing. I have been doing oil cleansing for 3 days now and I have yet to see major changes but I know it will take time. I am excited to get to a more natural side of things. I am using primrose evening oil though I am thinking of changing the oil when I am out of what I am using currently. I want to change up my moisturizer to more natural things and all the ingredients you mentioned sounded like they would work wonders. I will try it :) right now I am just using an spf moisturizer from Garnier. Thank you for the info and I never comment on videos but I had to, on yours. It was awesome. Oh and you should try a charcoal mud mask :)
Hi Can i puncture 4 capsules vitamin e with castor oil and use it daily? Also for oil cleansing can i store the oil with vitamin e?if so for how long can i store?
Hey niveda! Can you please tell me how many times a day should I do oil cleansing? I don't put make up at all. Just occasionally. So can I travel after doing the oil cleansing? Or I should just do oil cleansing before sleeping? My skin is prone to acne :(. Please reply
You can start by doing once every few days before going to sleep and if your skin does well with it, you can do it more often. I wear makeup often so I oil cleanse every night!
I'm Indian too and the best natural mud mask you can use is called multani mitti aka Fuller's earth. It has amazing properties to it. You can buy at any Indian grocery store. Thanks for the oil cleansing tip. I will definitely have to try that out! =)
Hi! A little late to this video but I'm a fellow South Asian (Sri Lankan) and I use heaps of facial oils too cus I have dry skin. I just discovered Chia seed oil for my face and neck and OMG never going back to any other oils! it's SO light and goes on beautifully and honestly does wonders overnight!Try the Goodness brand if you're in Australia! :)
I really love making my own DIY face masks because I full control of what I put on my face. I love making one with: 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric 2 tablespoons of Gram flour also known as garbanzo bean flour, chickpea flour or besan. 1 teaspoon of almond oil Milk I hope you like it as well! xx
+rainbowsandunicorns! I have combination skin -- it decides randomly when it wants to be dry or oily haha And yes!!! :) glad you saw that! It actually says Amma, Appa, Anna and runs across my shoulder!
hi niveda hola from chennai..iam tamilian too.. nice vid on oil cleansing here! does it suit acne prone and oily skin?? love your amma tattoo by the way :))
it does, but its a trial and error method, you have to find what work best for you. along with castor oil you can use either olive oil or grape seed oil. those are good for acne prone skin but you have to be careful about the ratio of the two oils. and you don't use a lot of oil on your face, just a few drops. also for acne prone/oily skin the ratio of castor oil is more and it dries out the skin. but be careful with the usage. plus you have to try what combination of oil and their ratio works for you. if you successfully find out then you have just got a miracle. it was clear out your acne and give you a smoother skin, the best skin you can wish for. but then again its a trail and error method, you can go wrong and it can backfire and if you do find what works for you, still it can cause purging at the beginning and is a slow process, but the reward is great! hope this helps :)
i have been wanting to try this combo for SO LONG but i have the most sensitive skin in the world that's allergic to almost anything 'natural' so im still hesitant but after seeing your skin...i have to try it asap haha :D had to sub babe!
I have combination to dry skin - it varies. Oil cleansing is best done at night so that the leftover oil can soak into your skin. It won't leave your skin looking greasy in the morning!
Dann Calleja Hey dear, rosehip oil did wonders on my skin and helped me with my acne marks but I would love to hear from your advice! How do you use it?
Jessica on a Journey first, I wash my face with my anti acne foam. And then I'll apply enough amount of honey all over my face. Then leave it for an hour. After that, rinse it with cold water. And grab an ice (to close the pores). Do it for circular motion. Do it everyday. Your face will be moisturized naturally. :)
I really like Farmhouse Fresh products! Most of them are vegan, all of them are natural! They rock! And they have active ingredients in the masks, I love Peats Perfection mask.
I have combination skin and dark sun marks or ageing by the way u have wonderful skin, i use too when i was young now a lot older so i am so depesed at time of my face i need some thing to help me. india woman have wonderfull skin so can u give me tips please
hey try juicy chemistry products ... they r 100% chemical, paragon free n they r sooo economical. I m trying them from last two months n dey have done miracles for my skin
I heard there is a difference between the store brought oil cleansers and the natural homemade ones. They say the store brought ones melts off the makeup and leaves a slight clean feel to the skin, but the homemade ones does melt off makeup, but leaves skin feeling oily and sometimes leaves an oil residue. I have oily acne prone skin and I have tried making the homemade ones and it does leave oil behind. When I clean my face there is residue that's take two washes to get it out or it will leave my face feeling greasy. However, I do like how it removes my makeup better than wipes. I never tried the store brought ones and I was trying to see if anyone can recommend a particular brand?
Kiran Pradhan I can just tell from my own experience. I used to have problems with blackheads and pimples a lot but since I started using this method it steadily got better and now I honestly am amazed every day by my clear skin. I use jojoba oil (about 40%), grapeseed oil (40%) and castor oil (20%). I put them in a little empty glass bottle and shake it up before each use. You can also go with just either grapeseed or jojoba, but definitely need the castor oil. I put a few drops of rosehip oil in there also, but that's not a must. It's just awesome, just look it up if you want 😊 Watch out for these things when buying the oils: they must be organic, unrefined and cold pressed. So you can't just buy for example the grapeseed oil that you can put in your salad 😁 It's very important so you don't hurt your skin or get allergic reactions. I use castor oil in it because like it is said in the video, this really gets off the dirt and makeup and cleans out your pores, also the jojoba and grapeseed oil because they are drying and non-comedogenic oils which means they don't clog your pores. I honestly don't recommend using olive oil, though it might be great for dry or normal skin without pimples, but for oily or combination skin it's definitely too much. You can categorise oils into drying, semi drying and non drying oils with non drying being the most saturated like coconut oil. Their comedogenic character range from 0 (absolutely non-comedogenic) up to 5 (will clog pores like hell). As a toner I use rose water as well and as a moisturiser I use rosehip oil in the evening and pure jojoba oil in the morning for rosehip oil is slightly more saturated. I don't want to miss it ever again, it helped me with my acne marks, like I said with my pimples and blackheads, my skin doesn't produce as much oil and sebum as it used to so I don't have oily skin anymore and the rosehip oil is wonderful against my lines and wrinkles. I know that really good oils are expensive, but I live on a tight budget and having invested in high quality oils once, I don't need any more skin products for months. Well, plus the rose water, but look out for Rosense rose water on amazon which is really amazing and the price is great compared to many other brands. Also, I don't know if you can order this brand from where you live (I'm from Germany), but look out for Eden's Semilla, that's where I got my jojoba oil and rosehip oil from. There are many different brands out there but I found this one to be not too pricy and the quality is mega super awesome. 😀 If you find one with a better price just let me know I would be grateful 😊 Also let me know what you think and in case you start doing the method, let me know how it works for you! Good luck!
Try fullers earth (multani metti) lol idk how to spell it, with rose water as a clay mask IT IS AMAZING!!! after I started using my pores are SOOO much smaller, with acne prone skin I used to hav maaasssivvee pores like no joke hahahah u shud try it out, its super cheap as well

You can never get pure rosewater for less than 4$. What you have is actually just water with aroma and is not beneficial. Pure rosewater with all the good oils and vitamins costs about 15$.
+niveda108 tats so sweet ya..between love ur videos so much. I'm also trying to use natural products for my skin. tis video, god! it's really helpful ma. thanks a lot. keep on going. waiting more videos from u ☺..nandri vanakam.
The absolute best face mask is (turmeric, lemon, and Indian healing clay) skin may be a bit yellow after, but will go away with oil moisturizer. It's amazing and has done wonders to my oily acne prone skin. Try it out. 🤓🤓
Just to add. If your skin is sensitive. substitute the lemon for rice flour or gram flour and add almond milk or just plain milk. It works wonders. I'm black south african so you know how hard and stubborn my skin can be but this worked wonders for my complexion.
+Fatima Hanine You can mix it with the castor oil. Coconut oil is super moisturizing and helps to remove makeup so easily but castor oil is naturally astringent so its the main ingredient that is going to help pull dirt and toxins out of your pores (with the help of the steam). So definitely use castor oil as the main ingredient, and then you can definitely add in coconut oil to dilute it!
+Fatima Hanine Its a organic coral exfoliating sponge I got from Whole Foods. I absolutely love it but a damp hand towel will work just as great! The main point is to let the steam from a damp towel or sponge open up your pores as you wipe everything away
You should try the Aztec secret Indian healing clay mask. It's vegan and the best mud mask ever.
Can u please suggest me in detail dear pl

Hi Niveda. New subbie here! :) Was just wondering if you've tried any of the Indian hair oils and what you think of them, or if you prefer your hair oil concoction?
As far as hair oils I always use the Parachute coconut oil in my hair! The castor oil concoction is only as a hair mask once or twice a week.

is this oil for Sensitive Skin ? what is name of product?
Where did you get your sponge (the one you use to wipe away the oil) from?
What skin type are you? I have sensitive dry skin but Alain don't like my face to look greasy in any ways because I usually don't ease makeup
I have combination to dry skin - it varies. Oil cleansing is best done at night so that the leftover oil can soak into your skin. It won't leave your skin looking greasy in the morning!

Jenny JenJen you have to use a oil which is organic and cold pressed
hii dear I have pimples on my face.....so which oils should I use for oil cleansing method....
It's just awesome, just look it up if you want 😊
Watch out for these things when buying the oils: they must be organic, unrefined and cold pressed.
Good luck!
Kiran Pradhan I highly recommend sandalwood essential oil and tea tree

niveda108 I felt that when I had used olive oil on my face.... Not sure though...But thanks a lot for d reply!
You can never get pure rosewater for less than 4$. What you have is actually just water with aroma and is not beneficial. Pure rosewater with all the good oils and vitamins costs about 15$.
I think it start from 9$

nida choudry I don't think she is, just an observations.
You pronounced Jojoba correctly and the dog is adorable
The absolute best face mask is (turmeric, lemon, and Indian healing clay) skin may be a bit yellow after, but will go away with oil moisturizer. It's amazing and has done wonders to my oily acne prone skin. Try it out. 🤓🤓
Thank you! Definitely will!
Just to add. If your skin is sensitive. substitute the lemon for rice flour or gram flour and add almond milk or just plain milk. It works wonders. I'm black south african so you know how hard and stubborn my skin can be but this worked wonders for my complexion.
Hi mam are u a tamilian .
Aztec clay Indian healing Clay is bomb
Can I use coconut oil to cleanse?
+Fatima Hanine You can mix it with the castor oil. Coconut oil is super moisturizing and helps to remove makeup so easily but castor oil is naturally astringent so its the main ingredient that is going to help pull dirt and toxins out of your pores (with the help of the steam). So definitely use castor oil as the main ingredient, and then you can definitely add in coconut oil to dilute it!
+niveda108 okay thanks! Also what's the little sponge you were using to remove the oil?
+Fatima Hanine Its a organic coral exfoliating sponge I got from Whole Foods. I absolutely love it but a damp hand towel will work just as great! The main point is to let the steam from a damp towel or sponge open up your pores as you wipe everything away
Please don't use steam if you do this it can be bad in so many ways and definitely do more harm than good
And u don't need steam or very hot water to wipe it away just a absorbent microfiber cloth maybe
Doesn't castor oil make your facial hair to grow?
Kritika Sen No
try multani mitti
how r u so pretty without makeup
