    I've been doing a natural routine throughout my 20s. It's been great for my sensitive, acne prone skin. I like to gently massage jojoba or argan oil into my dry skin, focusing on areas with makeup. Then I either steam my face with a warm wet washcloth over it, or I take a shower. No rubbing needed! I rinse with warm water and then I put honey on my face, kind of like a mask. After washing the honey off, I don't have any oily residue on my face and it feels super clean and soft.

    I have oily, highly sensitive skin, acne prone skin with puscular rosacea... Every cleanser that I’ve tried (high end and organic) has irritated my skin. Oils have always cause my skin to break out until I tried HEMP OIL! It is not canibis oil and can be found at Whole Foods. I do the massage for about a minute and then steam my face by placing a hot t-shirt over my face. I do not rub my face like she does, but I pat... the hemp oil is thin and does not clog my pores! It washes off easily and leaves my skin feeling amazing!

    • @marla0412
      @marla0412 5 лет назад +18

      well that's because organic products are freaking lies. just because it's organic doesn't mean it's good for your skin. poison ivy can be organic as well you know?

    • @tula__
      @tula__ 5 лет назад +6

      Bayli Martinez Try olive oil (but use less quantities). It’s high on linoleic acid, better than oleic acid oils on acne prone skin. And yes, hemp seed oil is also famastic. I don’t even use an oil cleanser but only pure natural oils.

    • @marla0412
      @marla0412 5 лет назад +36

      I'm sorry but I think you got this wrong. Olive oil is very high in oleic acid, not so much in linoleic acid. So I definitely wouldn't recommend it to people with acne prone skin @@tula__

    • @tula__
      @tula__ 5 лет назад +2

      colachim ok but maybe it also depends on the brand and where the olives came from. It’s not like olive oil only contains oleic acid and that’s what you’ll get out of it. Mine says it’s high on linoleic, so...and is certified 100% pure and cold pressed. Pure virgin oils are more beneficial than they do harm. There are 100’s of 1000’s of skin care products in the market that contains olive oil as imported ingredient. If it were so evil it wouldn’t be ever put because there are many women with sensitive skin. Ofcourse if you use too much of the oil, pores will get blocked. Otherwise it’s really safe and gets absorbed well in the skin to some extent. And it’s only comedogenicity rating 2, equal to jojoba oil which is widely used as a carrier oil. However you can’t say this about coconut oil which is among highest in ratings (=4).

    I started using an oil cleanser about 2 months ago, I was using it on dry skin, emulsifying with water, and rinsing off like a normal face wash. Didn’t really notice much. I started using THIS technique with the face cloth 1 week ago and have already begun to see a huge difference in my skin, it gives me this rosy glow and takes off all the dirt. I use a small cotton fiber towel and use VERY HOT water, put it over my face for a minute, and gently wipe the cleanser away (plus makeup at night. Absolutely a must technique!

  • @alexisgeiser4387
    @alexisgeiser4387 4 года назад +272

    The washcloth scares me... I normally go in with my oil cleanser dry, while doing light circular motions, and light tapping in the eye area to remove my makeup for about 1-2 minutes. I will then add a half a teaspoon of water and emulsify it and lightly massage for 2 minutes and then rinse off and follow up with my Cerave Hydrating Cleanser. That wash cloth would wreck my sensitive skin.

    I'm currently trying the 10 step K method and the oil cleaning was mind boggling to me at 1st. My skin is VERY oily but this has absolutely corrected my skin as well as complexion! I can appreciate this vid because initially I was weirded out just rinsing the oil from my face. The warm cloth removal is by far more beneficial AND easier. A tip which may be helpful to others: I use a diff WHITE cloth to clean my face daily. I buy them in bulk but began with packs from Sam's club or Walmart. That way it's no need to reuse and possibly return bacteria to a freshly cleansed face 😊

      @KatarinaS. 5 лет назад +8

      @clone 2k I think the term "new" leads people to believe that you mean using brand new cloths each time & then discarding as opposed to clean ones that get washed & reused. I agree that you shouldn't reuse a dirty cloth that you've used before. I use a different corner of the cloth each time & then lastly the center until it's all been used. That way I can get 5 uses out of one cloth. All you really need is a corner, dampen an area big enough to cover your fingers, no need to use the entire cloth for one use. It's obvious which corners have been used because there's always some makeup transfered to the towel & the used parts feel stiff & crunchy as opposed to the softness of the clean parts.

    • @tula__
      @tula__ 5 лет назад +13

      SASHANCO the 10 step method is rather just a hype. You don’t need that many steps and products on your face if you do the right way, the right products according to your skin type. And if some of them aren’t suitable for your skin, you’ll anyway break out or get worse no matter how good they claim to be.

    • @perfumaphilia3246
      @perfumaphilia3246 5 лет назад +5

      The oil cleansers popular in K-beauty routines are usually oils/balms that have emulsifiers added so they get milky and rinse clean with water. The oils used for the oil cleansing method are just pure plant oils with nothing else added, which is why very warm water and a wash cloth is required to remove most of the oil. I don't actually think the steam or washcloth removes all the oil residue.

    Usually when I'm not wearing any make-up, I cleanse my face with a special soap, put on some aloe with AHA or tea tree oil then a mix or vitamine E, aloe vera gel and an oil (which changes depending on how my skin feels, camelia oil for dryer, jojoba oil for oilier, coconut dehydrated, hemp oil when it's a bit dry but I want my skin not to feel oily).
    When I feel lazy or on the more sensitive/drier side, I massage my face with some oil which I wipe off with cotton pad with some aloe vera gel and or apple cider vinegar, usually skip moisturizer after that unless my skin really needs it which feels similar to what's she's doing. I prefer cleansing my face with cold water, I feel like my skin is better.

    I rinse rub and rinse without a cloth bc it builds up with bacteria. When I towel off it takes a lot of the stuff the oil grabs. I do this to my whole body. No body acne, and now harsh detergents disrupting the private areas. Yes u can use oil to clean there. It’s like a good send. Body acne is like non existent and it has lightened up the various scarring on my body. My skin is toned sand my pores are so small. It’s ridiculously amazing. It’s great for lifting deodorant thoroughly with just a swipe with a cloth. Only time I’ll use the cloth. Also the darkness in my pits has depleted and I shave with it. I also wash my hair with it. My hair smell so clean and scalp feels so clean and my hair is just growing. I mix peach tea with jojoba, castor oil, coconut oil, can use coconut milk, avocado oil, glycerin and almond oil. Sometimes I do with out the tea but I’m going to add aloe Vera juice as well. Soap is so overrated I’ve learned. I’ve been doing this for 3 months and the recent Ingredients for a month.

    I do it differently: I only use an oil cleanser at night so that I can remove my makeup and sunscreen. I’ll massage it into dry skin until I can see the makeup and layers sliding off then I’ll just rinse it off.
    Next, I use my Lancôme crème cleanser which doesn’t dry out skin and I’ll use the dry cleanse method with that. I’ll then wet a silicone face massager and move it around my face so that the cleanser is activated and lathered up. I’ll rinse off my face with cold water.
    The dead skin cells should be off and face should be bare so then I apply an oil control toner with a spray bottle and I just pat that in without wiping.
    I also use a glow serum afterwards with vitamin c and magnesium. It makes my face LITERALLY glow afterwards and also helps lock in hydration and prepare for the next step.
    Since I have acne prone skin, I put 5% benzoyl peroxide gel on my face (pea sized) and since I’ve been using it for a while, my face doesn’t really experience the side effects anymore. It’s drying, but it keeps pimples away so I make sure to use aloe Vera moisturizer afterwards. Then after moisturizer, I’ll put on a glow nightmask that is used to brighten skin. I usually use this mask 3-4 times a week.

      @@RutujaDicholkar I have made my own batch which contains castor oil, grapeseed oil and pomegranate seed oil. Castor oil is the basic element which is used in oil cleansing as it draws out excess sebum out of the pores. If you have oily skin increase the quantity of castor oil and if dry, decrease the said proportion. As for grapeseed and pomegranate seed oils, they both have anti-oxidant properties which has helped my skin glow. You can also add essential oil of your liking or depending on the problem.

I used a brand and even thought it turned milky white after cleansing i broke out badly. It clogged my skin very slow over time. Olive Oil, sunflower seed oil,castor oil, rose seed hip oil was the main oils. I have sensitive skin and acne prone. I stopped use and it has taken 4 months for my skin to clear up from the congestion. But i like the oil for the the black head around the side of my nose. Suggestions on a good oil?

    This is isn't a hate or anything but why do all this when you can just get a good oil cleanser or balm that is formulated to wash off well and use a gentle cleanser afterwards that is pH balanced? At the least actually just use a facial cleansing sponge which is more hygienic and gentler anyways. That tugging and pulling with a towel and it's fibres just isn't good for the skin in the long run. However the start was actually good especially the massaging tip was actually good because that's how oil cleansers are supposed to work that most overlook.

      May I suggest instead of face washers/cloths reusable face wipes? Mine are bamboo terry and there is nothing harsh about them. One side is slightly rougher which is perfect for oil removal and the (super) soft side is great for delicate areas like around the eyes. I've seen facial cloths recommended as great way to exfoliate. 🙂

      Yeowoo Oils that are used in oil cleansing are the same oils that big brands use for their “facial oils”. There are specific types of oils that you use that are non comdegenic. Good ones that are most used in luxury facial products are: rosehip seed oil, grape seed oil, jojoba oil, hemp seed oil, and avocado oil. These are all products you will find in luxury skin care. The additives are made for scent, for making them “thinner” or “dryer” and the. random added antioxidants or what have you. You can do the same by mixing oils or infusing oils with non comdegenic antoxidants! And this method works much better and matches the natural ph of your skin if done correctly.
      This channel is for people who want to contribute to a natural and non wasteful lifestyle. Oil cleansing is a great way to eliminate waste and also learn to create your own products formulated for your skin.

    I've just discovered the oil cleanse and tried it this morning with my own DIY oil (almond carrier with Rose hip soaked for 6 weeks and some rosemary essential oil). I did an 18 minute rub (watched another 2 videos and in those it said it could take up to 16 mins). I noticed that my pores all raised like tiny bumps, is this normal? I'm looking for the oily pores around my nose to stop looking like I don't wash! I'd also like my pores to shrink. The big pore which stands out shrunk and didn't look as oily and dark. I've been using an SA cleanser the last couple of weeks and it doesn't seem to be as effective as an actual physical face scrub. I'm in my 40s and am taking notice of things like "micro tears". Quite frankly, my face is going to be ravaged by the running that I do. I've chosen physical wellbeing which helps my mental health over beauty and looking young. I'd like both but doing the best I can!

      Essential oils are extremely irritating to the skin. Camomile does soothe the skin but I would opt for camomile tea that is steeped first... You then use the water or the contents left in the tea bag as a mask. If you have sensitive skin stay away from fragrant oils such as lavender, peppermint, and citrus... they do not need to be in your skin care routine.

Apply the toner on a cotton pad and just wipe it all over your face, it draws out any dirt or left over makeup the cleanser didn’t get, Then moisturize this is what I do and I have dry sensitive skin hope this helps 💓
