I was 14 years old at the time(1964) when this song was recorded and it became my firtst (of many) single. Beatle mania and the swinging 60s had just been started. Great memory,s,that,s for sure. I believe the music industry nowadays is a complete disaster. It,s amazing to see that you young lady,s ( I also love the Monalisa twins and Sina drums) have good taste and so much passion for classic songs. Thanks to the parents i guess.
I’ve always loved that opening guitar riff. You nailed this song Amy. How many remember hearing it in “Don’t call Us (We’ll call You)”? I’m embarrassed that I can’t remember who played it.
