Did you use any thread lock on your bolts
I did not but sounds like others are recommending it. I did not see any factory thread lock.

Thanks! Speaking for us from some pretty hard-core off-road experience. I’ve never had any trouble with these bolts. Conversely, I’ve had to take the skid plate off in the middle of nowhere a few times and I’m glad it didn’t have any thread lock on then. Lol
@@MCCJustMotos , I just finished putting the skid plate and radiator guard on my PA Special. At this point, I think I agree with you... I will retorque the bolts after I get this thing up to temp, but I actually "didn't" put any thread lock on mine either.

@@MCCJustMotos , well, initially I wanted the PA1250 Special in green but it was wasn’t available at my HD dealership 🤷🏻♂️. So ended up with the basic PA in black!

Thanks! It has access to the filter but not the plug. You have to take the skid plate off but that’s really easy and quick to do.

Wen i purchased my Pan Am from the factory i ordered mine with that stone guard as an upgrade 249 delivered! No locktite for you and no torque waiting for those screws to come loose on the trail! They have no lock washers!
Yeah, that’s a good deal! None were in stock when I bought mine. Got lucky and found one.
With such an expüensive bike it should be stock HD but tjhats typical HD.
Keep in mind most owners will use this as a Sport Touring machine and don’t need a heavy duty skid plate. It adds extra weight and cost, and it’s already one of the cheapest motorbikes in its catagory by $1000’s of dollars. But, trust me I would of been happy if I didn’t have to pay $300 extra dollars!
