One little comment. I put the same risers on my bike last weekend and one thing I found helpful was not to torque down the main riser bolts before putting the bars on. Just leave them a little loose - then if you install the bars and tighten the top clamps a little it will pull the risers parallel with each other - so no need to try and make sure they are not skewed with respect to each other. Then fully torque the bottom bolts to lock that into place and finally torque the top clamps. Great risers - and really make a big difference to comfort for me.
I put Rox 2" risers on. Same kinda up and back idea. My quick take is they are absolutely more comfortable, but you loose on-road front tire feel, and quite a bit of off-road front tire feel. Many considering this won't understand the tradeoff that this mod does. To me the risers are worth it as it got rid of a kink in my neck, but I have to be real and honest about the minuses and plusses. Thanks for the clear installation video. Cheers!
I just took these these off-road and I did feel a little less feel, but not terrible by any means. Odd, as I didn’t get that same feeling on-road but you have a great point. Comfort wise, these made a huge difference on a 300 mile plus session. Appreciate the valued feedback.
I went with the Rox risers too, they have a bit more adjustability to them, made it a much comfortable ride, especially the long ones. I'm looking at the Corbin seat in the near future, I've had those on a couple of other bikes, they turn a a 3 hour bike into a 9 hour one! LOL!
Very nice I said when I test rode this bike I would need to bars higher and back. This upgrade would make me revisit buying this bike. Thanks for sharing. Ride Safe
It is true that having your hands fall naturally onto the bars is a game changer. I can see you are really bonding with your new toy. Take care but have fun.
Well explained. I just think that it's not ideal to build parts for a metric bike using imperial fasteners, particularly for handlebar clamps where riders may want to adjust their handlebars up slightly for those longer off-roading days - that's another spanner to have to take with you.
I just got my triglide back from the dealer this morning with the new Khrome Werks 2+2's bars.. Talk about a difference.. I can now sit naturally and not be leaning forward to grasp the grips. Turning is even easier.
@@Broncoride Yep before I bought the 2+2's I had was seeing people saying that it's like going from manual steering to power steering.. and after the brief ride I did yesterday I believe it.
Nice work!...when I test rode the Pan America that was one of my first thoughts....probably would need risers!...and I'm only 5'9"!...thanks for sharing...stay safe...ride safe!!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦
Great install and agree w the realistic expectations of a first year bike..I have the 21 lowrider s and almost got the 21 PA but opted to wait for 2 years to see if they add a quick shifter and maybe sort out some issues. New sub and thanks for the content..🤙🏽
Thanks for hitting up the channel. I appreciate it. These risers made such a difference on the overall ride. Several people are waiting a year or two to see if they work out the kinks. I’ve had a couple minor issues, but still love the bike.
I'm all for higher risers, didnt realize they would make them for an ADV bike but thats awesome. Nice work man (also stock Harley powdercoat on handlebars is the absolute worst)
Thanks for the video… I’ve got a PanAm and was considering the same upgrade. Question- how did you clean up the Harley powdercoat? By moving to the 1/4” narrower risers, I’m afraid my bike with 3k miles will show some of the same wear. Be nice if the A1’s were identical width.
Haven’t done anything yet Eric, but looking Into it. Friend of mine used a marker for gun barrels and said it was super close to matching. To do it right, you need to take the entire bar off and redo coat. I’m trying to find a simpler solution.
So, the HD ones still on backorder? Sounds like a better set-up with the setback, glad it works for you (and looks good too!) Kind of surprised the stock heel guards are plastic, particularly given the bike's price point!
Nice job on the video and I like that you show the extensions you used and that you used a torque wrench. BTW, what were the torque values? I think these risers will be much more comfortable for long haul road rides for sure!
I'm curious and maybe someone can answer this question for me. I would like to put these risers on the PAN AM, however, was told that this could void the warranty by Harley unless I use the Harley 2" risers. Can anyone confirm this?
I think honestly I like everything. I just need to learn how to ride dirt better. I’m working on that. I will tell you the kickstand is annoying though.
One of the best install videos I have ever seen. Laying out the needed tools, explaining each step clearly. Top notch!
Thank you

Ty for the pointers. Makes complete sense.
Great intro for Mike . A1 cycles is the shit. Dude help me find parts that he didn’t even have for sale. Really standup guy and I’m a fan of his work.
Still loving the risers. Huge difference.
I went with 6" up 2" back. Really really neccessary for more technical terrain. Also better for highway.

@@Broncoride Well to be fair, I only notice less road feel at 7/10th and above lol..but again worth it to me. Again, great video!

Made a world of difference my friend
Put these on mine. Worth every penny. Nice install video.
Thanks Ron. I’m very pleased with these.

I’m bonding for sure. These really made a huge difference. Tested them today off-road and my position standing up is perfect.
The risers are perfect on the pan am
Right on
I ordered those risers this morning at 1005. I got shipping notification at 1117. Extremely fast shipping.
Very cool!
Great install video and so glad the bike is what you wanted. Sure this video will help others.
Thank you my good friend.

Risers make a huge difference and have a set on my cruiser. I was actually researching some for my sport tourer today.
My riding position is so much better now with these. Surprised it made that big of a difference.

Definitely. They make a huge difference. I just rode in WV and no issues.
I just ordered mine homie
They work great.
Great quality install video.
Ty Pete. Are you still deciding on getting one?
@@Broncoride yes. But it will have to wait until next year. I’ll be sharing some news soon.

Dude, was surprised how easily it scratched. Irritating for sure.
Hello Colin. Hey, I just learned recently that the Pan Am has a steering dampener! Maybe you can emphasize in a future vlog. Ride safe my friend.
Yes, it’s standard on the Special version. Definitely a nice feature.
Hi just curious about the mount on the left-hand side is that a summit Garmin mount. ??
It is for the Garmin Zumo XT. I actually moved it since this vid to right above the TFT screen.
Very nice. What phone holder are you using?
Tackform Enduro series. It’s solid.

Honestly, it not that bad. Maybe 1/4 inch showing but those little things do bother me, but it’s an ADV bike. It’s going to get beat-up a little.
Hi Collin, does the tank bag get in the way on tight turns with the new risers?
No sir. I haven’t had any issues with tight turns.
@@Broncoride Thanks.

Hey Todd. I believe it was 24lbs on the bottom torx bolts, 16 on the top, and 7 on the heel guards.
Do you have or know how to get a service manual for the '21 '22 Pan America/Special for torque values and such?
I ordered one directly from my dealer. Came in about three weeks later.
@@Broncoride thank you for responding, I will give that a try.
when you install the new bolts, should i use some torque seal ? ie: blue?
I didn’t use Loctite. They haven’t budged but honestly wouldn’t hurt.
@@Broncoride thx for the reply! I saw the price on the A1 riser, my gosh! 220 bones shipped, thats crazy. lol!
the top bolts for the new caps, what size socket are they? 3/8 does not fit!
Do you hav to extend any wires/cables???
Nope, not at all. Install install Tom and great product.

Not accurate.
Didn't catch the name of the manufacturer for those parts
Haha
Serious question he talked about the guy that lives in South Carolina now and didn't catch the name of the business
The Machine Shop guy
I guess haha is my reply
Apologies. I will try to find out. I thought you were referring to A1. Hence the lol.
These look awesome, how tall are you? I need these bad.
I’m 6’4”. These risers are really nice.

Yup, caught that after I had already published that it was 3/8.
