smart man, keeps it local and that wins with legit efficiency
Bukalapak should come to Latin America. In Honduras these kiosks are super popular and they are called "pulperias"
Definitely! 🇭🇳✌️
Same in Nigeria
oh wow, thanks for the information. The CEO should read this...
Bukalapak, im so proud of you supporting "warung" or local grocery to compete with modern minimarket
Thank you, Bukalapak, since joining Bukalapak I feel it has been helped, even the turnover of the stalls is increasing day by day. I hope that in the future we will continue to develop together and be able to help umkm and stalls in Indonesia to be more advanced in this digital era. Always success
wooww good for u

Brilliant business model! Good job! One ASEAN! Love from the Philippines
We have that exact same setup in the Philippines. I learn how similar the Indonesians are to us everyday...
maybe Filipinos should also create a startup. there are many BPOs there that Filipinos are exposed to latest software.
because we are serumpun just like Malaysia haha. The only differences in religion, though there are 33 million christians too in Indonesia, mostly on eastern side
Amazing, it is like sari sari store or tindahan in the Philippines
Sari?
I love that most of Indonesia's successful tech startups started with the idea of wanting to help the people. Hope the best for them all
When you realised this is the International CNBC RUclips channel and not the Indonesian one: 👁👄👁
Waduh iya, pas uda nonton baru ngeh
lol true
There's nothing wrong bout that
Indonesia's Bukalapak is very similar to The Philippines' Sari-Sari Store"
However, here in the Philippines, there's some places where most of the houses had it's own "store" that sells basic commodities. Most of them end up being on a bankrupt state few weeks or months later . Why would you setup a Sari-Sari Store when the next 2 doors behind or after you has already had it?so it ends up being unprofitable and the money that they spent as a "capital " for these small startup was wasted. Some were even relying to Indian Lenders with a high interest rate just to have additional money or capital to buy the things that they need to sell on that store.
The stores mostly have already operated.
Bukalapak more like goods distributors, so that people can order it online to restock the products. It's easier and faster than their previous conventional distributor.
And Philippines is doesn't have the population or strength of Indonesia so it's tough !
@@kiranp5611 Philippines population is not small almost half of Indonesia. The reason why it's thriving here because the environment both private and government are embracing digital and technology combines with strong entrepreneural as well as the consumers penetration. Then you get this, recently last year Indonesia's e- commerce sales even can surpassing India, a country with 1.4 billion people.
@@kiranp5611 the philippines have > 100 million people
south korea have > 50 million people
south korea could reach more than the philippines
Actually the lapak or warung is like sari sari store in the phillipines..and bukalapak vision is to bring them all online in 1 place
Lol so much laugh seeing some of my fellow Indonesians here ranting out so mad "Bukalapak CEO should keep his mouth shut" or "no promotion like Tokped/Shopee"
See - this is your Jakarta brain bias over here. You watch carefully again, Bukalapak has a vastly different business model from Tokped or Shopee. They wanna play supply-side, not demand-side, and Jakarta big city life aint what they targetting.
Not saying BL doesn't have weaknesses - it is objectively still worse UI/UX than Tokped/Shopee. But hey, good that they found a strategy that actually is an empty market.
Just like you tried to keep Achmad Zaky's politics out of the game, maybe use your brain before letting ur bias comment and saying this is an advertorial too :)
Or are you a.... BuzzeRp? Haha
Wah keren aslik, very proud buat aplikasi anak bangsa bukalapak 👍👍
I love bukalapak, the best costumer services of Indonesian marketplaces.
Bukalapak can also open the same ecommerce mobile servicing small store owners in the Philippines, the 2 main ecommerce serving the similiar market is just a niche player and catering to small retail owners. Theres so much room for Bukalapak to penetrate the southern philippines and northern philippines market with their huge investor funding
Filipino millenials need to step up rather relying on foreign companies such as Lazada
Bukalapak is underrated because their brand ambassador is not from kpop groups
In India, we got a similar start-up called Dunzo. There is another start-up which manages inventory and warehousing for small stalls called Udaan
In India we have phone pay ,Paytm ,Google pay, upi ,bhim... this business won't ever work in India as Amazon and flipkart already do this and we can't out survive them
@@showstoppershubs well you have to shut that Amazon down lol
Dunzo, udaan and mitra bukalapak have completely different business model.
Dunzo more like gojek in indonesia.
Udaan is just like alibaba.
Bukalapak more like goods distributors, so that people can order it online to restock the products in their stall. It's easier and faster than their previous conventional distributor.
Wait isn't Dunzo delivery service ???
@@kiranp5611 more like it
Kudos! Indonesia :)
Buka is also used here in the philippines.. (visayan dialect which means "to open")
Nice
Thats exactly the same meaning
I think this is one of the way to more introduce culture item from indonesia to global market
Pretty sure this is a promotion for a potential SPAC listing.
Proud to be an indonesian, keep it up to serve the underserved communities :)

Woops bit of a Freudian slip there .. 'you can make more money .. I mean serve .. communities that have little money'. 😆
they should make a simple payment solution like in kenya through mobile banking sms type ..
Bukalapak use e-wallet,, people barely use sms, at least me.
actually bukalapak already accept various range of payments including mobile banking and e wallet. More advance than you ever think.
Most of us has e-wallet tho..
Everyone is on android smartphone nowadays
They use every way of payment. You name it, e wallet, transfer, e-banking, etc etc.

As a local, actually tokopedia and shopee are more popular than bukalapak.
Shope no no
Bukalapak number 3 popular in indonesia

i chose Tokopedia
i used to buy and sell in bukalapak, but now i don't feel comfortable anymore, there's lot of scammer, fake seller and bots everywhere, but correct me if I'm wrong or if you have another experience than me.
How about experience with other apps ? Definately I dont want to use Shoope who encourage to import products from China and sell it in Indonesia.

Hi
You guys should do on Tokopedia next and how tf they can sign both BTS and Blackpink as their official ambassadors at the same time. An indonesian e-commerce , selling for indonesian market and with k-pop ambassadors. Wild af
different target market.
E commerce business model in Indonesia very not healthy. They all burn money for business growth. Buka Lapak used to be BIG TWO with Tokopedia. Now, its different. Its Tokopedia vs Shopee ( singaporean e commerce)
😋
