This old greybeard is always happy to see greenbeards come in by the pod full knowing damn well they'll each have a wonderful story to tell in the future
Green-ish beard, was crewed up with two others on a dig Has 3 dig. Started off simple enough, escort Doretta to the core and get out. Wasn't too complex of a cave, shortly after dropping the first Bulk detonator spawned in with two oppressors, me (Gunner) and the engineer started unloading on him and he goes down quickly enough, I tell the scout to start looking for Nitra as the Detonators took a good chunk of my ammo and I'd rather not get caught without. Engineer recalls his sentries and we start the drill dozer, and move on. Halfway through the first dunnel Doretta dug we had another Bulk detonator spawn with what seemed like an endless swarm of bugs, took out several groups with cluster grenades and mowed down many more. Second detonator down we get to the second room and start gathering fuel and Nitra by the cartload, seemed relatively quiet until we heard that chilling sound...it was the sound of a third bulk detonator and he was closing in, he downed the scout and we scraped together enough Nitra to get a resupply (the scout had a large chunk of Nitra when he was downed) and we started unloading on him. Revived the scout and took care of the detonator, I hung back and set down a few cables across the room to allow the others to get around easily enough and spotted a large cache of Nitra upon the ceiling, didn't have any further issues with that room and we got easily a few hundred Nitra. More than enough to finish the mission. We get to the final room and we have a fight waiting for us. A fourth and final Bulk detonator and two oppressors spawned as well as a swarm, this cave really threw everything it had at us. Definitely the most stressful Haz 3 dig I've had. Anyway we dealt with the Detonator and the oppressors and started Doretta on the core. Few swarms here and there but nothing we couldn't handle, get to the second layer and mission control calls in a massive swarm coming our way. We load up and prepare defenses for the incoming threat, swarms and swarms of grunts came out of the woodwork and we lit them up keeping as many as we could off of Doretta. Unfortunately in the chaos we missed a group that had gotten close and destroyed a chunk of Doretta, they were dispatched quickly enough but the damage was done. The floating rocks were of little concern but I was getting a little low on ammo from the constant swarms we endured, less than 400 rounds left in my minigun. Called down a supply drop and we had a driller drop in, he was a bit greedy and took two ammo boxes so the scout gave me his as he was still pretty good on ammo. Loaded up the core and hit the button, then all hell broke loose. The scout grabbed Doretta and the engineer started to book it back to the drop pod, I covered the scout while he ran and kept the bugs off of him. Took a few hits but not enough to break through my shield, we kept running and the swarm of bugs just seemed to get bigger and bigger. My ammo counter dropped further and further, less than 260 rounds left. Tell the scout to high tail it back to the pod as fast as he could and the engineer that I was gonna need a hand very shortly. He had went ahead and tried to clear the rooms ahead of us. Drop pod hits off to the side of the second room, threw a shield down to give us a bit of breathing room and for the engineer to set his turrets down and we unloaded with everything we had. We had a small window to get out after a few choice cluster grenades and we took it. By this time my minigun was dry and I only had a single cluster left, the engineers turrets were running dry and the driller was already back at the drop pod. Ran through several swarms and took out a few slashers with my bulldog we made it to the drop pod and got out of there as fast as we could

They need to ask for permission to add this to the soundtrack. Make a (relatively) rare chance to play when fighting bosses, running back to the pod, etc.
I have only encountered bulk detonators twice and one was a gold detonator, both times i was properly leveled as was my entire team, but we can solo a Dreadnaught, im not sure if its because we know how to fight a dreadnaught or if its because detonators are stronger but whatever the case is, bulk detonators are scary man
@@unitzulu1836 do you know what's more scary than a bulk detonator? having 2 spawn at the same time. Or having them spawn during an escort duty mission and it instantly destroying one part of doretta.
I was joining randoms as a gunner class, everyone made it back to the ship except 1. With no sign of his 2 friends going back for him I started after him with only 3 minutes on the clock, had to fight for my life to get to him because of the vertical descent he was so far down. After I revived him he started making platforms for me but it was clear he'd make it out and I would not because of me relying on my Ziplines . After we made it out of the hole it was a straight shot to the ship. With 25 seconds left he made it. I only made it to the big chamber to see them all taking off. Coolest run I've ever done with ranbom players. Rock and stone in the heart.
My story has a happy ending. I too was playing gunner, with some random people in the middle of the mission we learnt that the corruptor is deadly in small caves, but besides a bunch of downs because of it, we were fine, after we got all the eggs, someone decided to call without asking (probably the low level scout), we had a lost gear to collect, which just so happened to be right over the drop pod, the other gunner made a zipline for driller, he went up it and that is where all hell let loose: a bunch of exploders swarmed the driller, the gunner fell down the hole from cleansing equipment and the scout is a god damn coward, right as an "escape swarm" appeard and there I am, standing 20 meters from the drop pod, watching the downed teammates tell me to just leave, but... leave no dwarf behind, right? I get whatever bugs there are on driller killed, letting the scout revive him, after which I think for a second, as gunner tells us to just go, I jump in the same hole he did, but I catch onto the ledges, taking low fall damage, revive him and we manage to get out of that hell hole. Leave No Dwarf Behind! Only Leaf-Lovers.
Oh the amount of adrenaline-fueled victories me and my friends have had. The ones where you catch the W by the skin of your teeth, those ones. The times that we've roared in ecstacy, or whined in agony. While i will never play this game for months on end, i do enjoy it when i re-download it again. top work, man!

Fun fact: pipelines arent broken by bugs, instead a pipeline is randomly chosen to be broken and then a few bugs will spawn and then be attracted to the broken pipe to give the illusion that they broke it
A tidbit about the lore: At the "beginning of the lore", DRG had gold collecting missions but it backfired... The value of gold is basically worthless now because the dwarfs extract it so much that tanked the value... In the end DRG opted to let them keep it instead of selling it because they were mining it at a loss and, because dwarfs love gold, to boost morale... Sorry if i explained it badly but english is not my strong language...
Already loved the original but this is easily a step up in every way, fantastic work mate; always love when the progress someone has made in their craft is _tangible_
It's amazing how this song started out as a little joke in a Minecraft video, just the players singing a goofy song about digging a hole, and has evolved so far into this.
Upon hearing the first few notes and seeing the first few shots and camera cuts, I immediately slammed the like button as hard as an empty mead tankard. This is true Dwarven craftsmanship! And we are all glad you've brought this excellent remaster into existence. This will be one of the best ways to introduce people to DRG's concept and to get existing miners pumped for action
I didn't pay much attention to DRG, i heard about the game, then this vid popped up in my youtube flow, don't think i need to say more. Rock and Stone brothers!!!
From a minecraft youtuber roleplaying a dwarf doing a dumb improvised song to pad out video runtime, to a honored celebration of an entirely fictional culture that we all identify with at some level, celebrating values of brotherhood, honor, hard work and alcoholism. What a journey
When Trent Reznor heard Johnny Cash's cover of his song "Hurt," he said, "I wasn’t prepared for what I saw, and it really then wasn’t my song anymore." I feel like Minecraft is saying this to DRG right now 😅😅
This is perfection, there are only 3 Videos on this platform that i find absolutely perfect this is 1 the other two are The Deep Rock Trailer and the Rock & Stone shanty those are the best Videos i have ever seen on this platform
And so, Wind Rose have made a song about Deep Rock Galactic not that long ago. The prophecy is fulfilled! *For the brothers and for Karl, we will Rock and Stone tonight!*
Letting people know that this is the video that introduced me to the game, and after a quick google search and 2 years later, I now have over 600 hours in the game and am still going strong. FOR ROCK AND STONE MINERS.
Something about this song makes me desire a life like this, buried deep underground on dangerous mining expeditions and lots of drinking and merriment back on the ship. Every man's dream right here
Can you imagine someone who hasn't played DRG watching the video and thinking "There's no way this game is as exciting as this video makes it look ..."
What's funny about this is I knew this song and even this exact version of it, started playing DRG recently and never even thought of these two masterpiece working in unison
The music and part with the Error Cube reminded me of a mission I had once in Azure Weald We had already called the Drop Pod but I noticed the Error Wall at the last second Rest of the team booked it to the Drop Pod but I wasn't gonna leave that thing So what does a dwarf do in this situation? Solo it all the way to the Drop Pod with 1/4 ammo left while carrying the Error Cube of course Least to say that was the most intense escape sequence I've done and the fellow dwarves congratulated on the feat Later we had 5 rounds in celebration
Once this scout was taking forever to get to the drop pod and the rest of my team was already there. I was going to let him die. Then I realized Karl would have saved him so I fought the bugs as me and got to the drop 3 seconds before it left. LEAVE NO DWARF BEHIND. FOR KARLLLL
I would of never imagine this song get used this way all those years back when I first heard the original orchestra one. I wonder how proud the yogcast is for the results.
DRG is the most BRO game ever made. Drinking beer, digging holes and murdering shit with the boys. It's literally a bro simulator. They even got "the thing" down us men do where we don't have to say something particular, yet the boys will understand. The V button. You press it to greet, cheer, give thanks and celebrate. It's all expressed with the same action, yet THE GAME IS SO BRO THAT YOU JUST GROW TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS IN WHICH SETTING. FUCK I LOVE THIS GAME FOR FKIN KARL BOYS ! ROCK AND STONE !
I have to thank this video for single-handedly making me spend a great amount of time playing the game on PS5 and bought it recently on Steam. It's the type of game I always wanna come back to, because there's so many great moments that can happen either with strangers or friends. The community is truly amazing unlike others and it's also the type of game I never knew I wanted until it just clicked and so many people are joining the fun by simply spreading the word about it. Rock and Stone, my friends, Rock and stone! 💪🔨
Someone played this over the mic while we were fighting a swarm as a whole squad of gunners, didn't realize at the time that this song was LITERALLY deep rock and not just some random ass song that happened to fit the theme of deep rock lmao Gunner Gang!

I'm not distracted mining this gold, nor do i fear the bulk crawling up on me, what do i have to fear from something I've killed hundreds of times?
Now there are elite enemies, swarmageddon, and double warning missions. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Where is that damn mule?

I've got nothing but pure joy from this song, even tears ran down my eyes. I dont even play the game, but being a DOOM enjoyer and a bachelor miner, I feel like It's gonna be an all time favourite once I get my hands on it.

Almost 3000 hours playing DRG here. It's ok. :)
Welcome of the Rig green beard. All are welcome on the team. ROCK AND STONE.
Fun fact: pipelines arent broken by bugs, instead a pipeline is randomly chosen to be broken and then a few bugs will spawn and then be attracted to the broken pipe to give the illusion that they broke it
Good suggestion
The spiders like the mineral soup and slurp it from poorly built pipelines the drunk gunner made
”Its barly holding toghether but good enogh ” -gunner after 4 glhphid slammers
Or you know, deep rock galactic didn’t double checked the quality of their pipes.
A tidbit about the lore:
At the "beginning of the lore", DRG had gold collecting missions but it backfired...
2:35 this is one of my favorite shots from the vid. It's so goddamn cinematic I love it
hands down the best part visually
That song is pretty much what goes on in my head while playing this...i am a dwarf and im digging a hole..with my powerdriller 2000.
With the mug in one hand and the pick in the other, we shall tame this planet, one swing at a time!

I didn't pay much attention to DRG, i heard about the game, then this vid popped up in my youtube flow, don't think i need to say more. Rock and Stone brothers!!!
Welcome to the dwarven brotherhood...
ROCK AND STONE
From a minecraft youtuber roleplaying a dwarf doing a dumb improvised song to pad out video runtime, to a honored celebration of an entirely fictional culture that we all identify with at some level, celebrating values of brotherhood, honor, hard work and alcoholism.
What a journey
Who would win?
A hive of evolving and adapting bug creatures, out for nearly everythings blood.
OR
A bunch of vertically challenged individuals.

Truly the most authentic Deep Rock Galactic experience.
I was smiling ear-to-ear all the time when watching this. Holy cow this is beautiful.
I hear you brother
2:04 The lyrics go "Dwarfs won't fly so high" but in DRG dwarfs are literally live on the space station, which means they flew higher than anyone
Even still, canonically they are shit shuttle pilots lmao. All this lost cargo.
Letting people know that this is the video that introduced me to the game, and after a quick google search and 2 years later, I now have over 600 hours in the game and am still going strong. FOR ROCK AND STONE MINERS.
Excellent work, Karl would be proud! FOR ROCK AND STONE!
Deep rock galactic was one of those moments when someone at ghost ship said “hear me out, dwarves with futuristic guns” and everybody heard him out.
Someone must have said it, the studio started with a demo project called "Dwarka" featuring medieval dwarves.
"Dwarfs won't fly so high".
Perfect footage!
I was there Gandalf, when he uttered those words, thousands of years ago... diggy diggy hole

I accidentally found this video 2 years ago, bought the game out of curiosity, and made so many memories. Thank you Crimsongamer99
What's funny about this is I knew this song and even this exact version of it, started playing DRG recently and never even thought of these two masterpiece working in unison
The music and part with the Error Cube reminded me of a mission I had once in Azure Weald
We had already called the Drop Pod but I noticed the Error Wall at the last second
Rest of the team booked it to the Drop Pod but I wasn't gonna leave that thing
So what does a dwarf do in this situation? Solo it all the way to the Drop Pod with 1/4 ammo left while carrying the Error Cube of course
Least to say that was the most intense escape sequence I've done and the fellow dwarves congratulated on the feat
Later we had 5 rounds in celebration
Best music video ever
Why am I 2 years late to this masterpiece?! So proud to be part of this community, Rock and Stone brothers!
Make sure to submit this to the 3 year anniversary contest.

Once this scout was taking forever to get to the drop pod and the rest of my team was already there. I was going to let him die. Then I realized Karl would have saved him so I fought the bugs as me and got to the drop 3 seconds before it left. LEAVE NO DWARF BEHIND. FOR KARLLLL
