That speech at the end, by Homelander, is an homage (and nearly word-for-word) quote of George Bush's speech in New York on 9/11. Standing atop rubble he's speaking through a loudspeaker when someone in the background shouts to him "we can't hear you!" and he returns "but *I* can hear *you* (pause/applause) and the people who did this, the people who knocked these buildings down, will hear all of us soon (more applause)". Realistically Homelander wouldn't be able to lift the plane. Think Surface Area... Example, if you place a Cake on a plate, you can carry it just fine because the plate can hold enough of the cake's surface area. Don't forget Weight is scattered across large objects. Now try to carry the cake on a tip of a Pen, the pen will sink through the cake because the tip of the pen is only covers and holds one tiny spot and the weight around the cake that isn't supported just comes down and pulls the rest down to. In this example the cake is the plane and Homelander is the pen. There's 2 ways I could think of that he could've saved those people. But to Homelander their deaths could also help push Vought's point into getting Supes into the military.
I think another problem is that it's an all or nothing situation. They weren't supposed to be there at all, so to only save a few people would have them in trouble, with people saying they should have left it to the authorities. If you can't guarantee to save them all, you have to save none.
@@AkumaGekido and well here's 2 of the plans where he could have possibly saved them. 1. Have everyone jump out of the plane at once. They would all have about less than 3 minutes till they hit the ground. Considering how fast Homelander is, He could've taken about 3 or 4 people at a time, zoomed straight down to the water then dropped em off gently in a few seconds. Then go for the next people that are still falling from the sky, repeat a few times and done. People saved. But of course he's a Dick and let em all die.

Apparently (I forget who) someone did the math/calculations to see if it would actually be possible for Superman to lift a plane like you always see him do in the comics and turns out it’s actually impossible by physics standards. Due to the amount of force/strength it takes to lift a plane being all compact down into a single point that’s the size of a person/a persons hands is just way too much… so he’d just burst through the plane rather than actually lifting it
Yes, the way it's (later) explained in the comics is that Superman has a limited telekinetic ability. Basically if he's touching something he's making it levitate with his mind. That's how he wills himself to fly as well. It's got nothing to do with gravitational powers. I'm oversimplifying, but it's not exactly 100% scientific to begin with. There is, however, a scientific breakdown, somewhere in the depths of the internet, that explains how all of Superman's abilities could actually exist, scientifically-speaking. On the other hand Homelander has no special telekinetic abilities, so he'd just go through the plane, no matter how slowly he pushes it.
Homelander can't lift the plane because it's impossible. Literally impossible to do that bullshit Superman does. It's so impossible the people running Supes had to retcon a BS telekinesis power for supes to make it make sense. Superman lifting or stopping a falling plane in the way he does it in every movie or comic would just result in him breaking through the plane & stopping nothing. A Plane is not made of material strong enough to withstand the force of human hands (Or even a whole human body) trying to lift it up. So even the superman owners know it's bullshit as they admitted to retconning his power set to make the scenes actually logical. The plane was going to hit the ocean within 2 minutes or so once Maeve gave the idea to fly everyone out. Homelander can't fly 3 people to the ocean at top speed or he'd kill him, he'd have to fly slow enough to keep them safe & therefore wouldn't have the time to save everyone. Sure for us saving some is better than none but to Homelander failing to save everyone makes him look bad & doesn't help them get into the military. Even though personally I think saving as many as you can then explaining everything to the public still makes you look decent. Homelander is a egomaniac and needs to be seen as the savior that saved the whole plane not just some. idk how many people catch it but Homelander was threatening Maeve when he said "Don't die with them". She'd survive the crash no problem she's near Homelander's level of strength & durability. If she stayed he would've killed her to prevent her being there when people investigate the crash. He would've grabbed her & flew away then killed her & staged the body somehow. That or he'd obliterate everyone her including then force the plane to the bottom of the ocean never to be found. Another thing to consider, maybe there were survivors & Homelander killed them. He watched the plane crash & likely floated around waiting to see if any survivors surfaced & then drown them. Let's hope they all died but this is another explanation as to why no one survived the crash. I mean Deep is a prev, but it was the Dolphin who wanted it this go around. People forget he can speak to animals & hear them speak back. Also Dolphins literally rape things cause they're so horny all the time. They're extremely sexual animals & hump humans & everything. That death scene was wild though lol. I'd suggest getting used to seeing that sort of thing. I'd argue this show will get more violent than Invincible soon enough. It definitely looked like the female was trying to attack Frenchie. She doesn't trust or like this crew, she has no idea who they are, she just knows they're stalking her like A-Train was.
Also hold Butcher’s line about how it can always be more horrifying than that last thing, every time you start an episode. That is the golden rule the whole series runs on.
3 people watching and all have terrible face blindness. lol And fix your TVs / monitors brightness. The scene's aren't that dark. 23:14 A-Train didn't even recognize the guy who's girlfriend he murdered and personally apologized to. How would he recognize MM from that brief period in the hallway?
This is the polar opposite of My Hero. My Hero plays the super hero scene in the most positive light, and The Boys in the most negative. At least it’s nowhere near as edgy as the comics.
We didn't comment on it? I thought I remember wondering what dialect they were speaking because I think subtitles just said Filipino or something. :) But yes, Dani and I are half pinay
Plane scene was intense. It just shows how supremely unqualified any superpowered being would be at handling any of these real life situations. And how quickly they can make things worse. Stay safe guys 🤍
Not any superpowered beings, just these reckless and untrained ones. Superman spent decades honing his powers, and learned how to control them with precision, enabling him to hold onto a plane and gradually slow down its descent safely. Whereas Homelander's "plan" was to fly at a speeding plane headfirst. He's right when he said he would have punched through the hull, but not because saving the plane is impossible. Homelander is simply a terrible superhero, who doesn't really care about saving lives and hasn't got the training or empathy required. The only thing Homelander is any good at is killing people.
@@Rocket1377 Bruh what!!! Superman has telekinetic powers and biofield Which acts much like a force-field. He can extend it to other objects, such as people that he flies around with to protect them. He could extend it to the plane, so it would be as tough and sturdy as he is, then land it. Flash has a similar power.
I've never flown International so I don't know what cell phone coverage is like over the Atlantic Ocean, but I'm assuming there isn't much coverage there, so that might explain why there might not be any live streaming.
17:54 Wow, I'm just noticing this is either a plot hole or Starlight's own info is just off by a couple of years because I doubt in the span of s1 - s3 finale (around the start of Gen V) Maverick (Translucent's son) could go from being 10 to being college age which he obviously is when we see him in Gen V
Sucked out and blown out are the same thing, depending on which side you're looking at it from. That's not a double-entendre, that's just how air pressure differentials work. "I'm surprised nobody's live-streaming this." We aren't (yet) at the technological level where people can upstream content from the middle of an ocean. Cell phones are ultimately just radios, and require being within range of a radio (cell) tower to work. There isn't a cell service network in the world whose coverage map includes the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. And although direct satellite connecting phones do exist, they're still very expensive and pretty rare. I don't think "Mallory's" gender has been specified yet. It's been mentioned that Starlight replaced Lamplighter's position in the Seven. The whole thing about lifting/aiming/"carrying" an airplane has been discussed among comic book nerds for a long time (because Superman). It might work, but most likely it wouldn't, especially if you haven't practiced it first. Airplanes aren't designed to have their weight supported from one point directly underneath them. They either use their wheel points or the wings for that. Homelander's point was that either he had to save 100% of the passengers, or 0% of them and pretend he was never there. He's viewed as a perfect hero and needs to keep that reputation going. If even one of them survived and told the world that he failed to save the rest, it would be too much of a hit to his reputation. By his calculation, it's better to just bail and then pretend he wasn't called in time.
Ah, I just remember my instructor making emphasis on the blown out / sucked out thing during my FA training so it stuck with me! And you're right, I forgot they were over the ocean. All I could remember was a guy livestreaming a decompression a few years ago on a Southwest flight lol. But I know my previous airline is starting to have wifi that works over smaller bodies of water, so hopefully soon! -Sam
The 100% or 0% isn't just about Homelander's rep though. The whole point is that Homelander and Maeve aren't supposed to be there at all. But if they were to save everyone, nobody would dare bring that up.
Lamplighter was always confirmed to be part of the seven in episode one in Annies ceremony. They said Lamplighter retired from the seven and Starlight was taking her place.
It’s a little unclear why A-train immediately accused his girlfriend that she told someone. At first glance, it is clear that someone was in the cage, broke out of the cage and killed everyone. Everything is simple. Or did the Boys leave something at the scene of the murder?
There is no real difference between getting sucked out or blown out, since the process is air rapidly moving from a dense state to a less dense state, taking you with it. The force always comes from the denser air, so 'sucction' isn't a force but a method.
He could have been honest and saved some of the kids he is just too much of an ass. But there was no way for him to stop the plane he would literally destroy the hull. Too little surface area and too much force from him.

The Deep is the funniest character in the whole show.
Also hold Butcher’s line about how it can always be more horrifying than that last thing, every time you start an episode. That is the golden rule the whole series runs on.
3 people watching and all have terrible face blindness. lol
And fix your TVs / monitors brightness. The scene's aren't that dark.
23:14 A-Train didn't even recognize the guy who's girlfriend he murdered and personally apologized to. How would he recognize MM from that brief period in the hallway?
My sisters in christ, I am once again asking you to please turn up the volume of the show. It's nearly unwatchable
its a copyright thing bro, if u wanna complain about the audio go get their patreon
The Spice Girls' monologue♥ My favorite dialogue of the series 🙂
29:00 Its NYC, two scare man fighting in crowd. no one will watch. believe me, maybe tourists. lol
smh, NONE OF THOSE WOMEN LOOK THE SAME 🤣🤣
LMAO AND YOU RECOGNIZE BY THE ACCENT?!? Oh lord, all of their hair are completely different.
@@TheManWhoFlys22 ikr
This is the polar opposite of My Hero. My Hero plays the super hero scene in the most positive light, and The Boys in the most negative. At least it’s nowhere near as edgy as the comics.
Girl's you need to start watch one piece
Have Butler pick me up some of that Mommy's Milk!
That's what Homelander said.
Mommy Milk and Butler, the dynamic duo! 😁
I thought you were gonna react to the tagalog scenes, bc I remember seeing the ph flag on one of your IGs lol
We didn't comment on it? I thought I remember wondering what dialect they were speaking because I think subtitles just said Filipino or something. :) But yes, Dani and I are half pinay
These girls were more horrified by the dolphin scene than they were the plane scene 😂😂
To be fair to Homelander, as much of an evil narcissistic prick as he is, he was completely correct about the physics of “lifting” a plane.
Nah he just weak
They literally showed Becca b4 that butcher eating a hot pocket scene 🤣
21:19
"I'm surprise no one is live streaming this."
Me: Well...
@@Rocket1377 Realistically The Hull would definitely get punched through, Pretty Sure Superman has a power that would specifically prevent that though
@@Rocket1377 you clearly have no idea how physics works. lol.
I couldn't tell Becca and Susan apart for a minute on my first watch either honestly.
You need glasses
I've never flown International so I don't know what cell phone coverage is like over the Atlantic Ocean, but I'm assuming there isn't much coverage there, so that might explain why there might not be any live streaming.
17:54 Wow, I'm just noticing this is either a plot hole or Starlight's own info is just off by a couple of years because I doubt in the span of s1 - s3 finale (around the start of Gen V) Maverick (Translucent's son) could go from being 10 to being college age which he obviously is when we see him in Gen V
Future here. I just noticed a plot hole. Starlight says maverick is about 10 but a few years later like 3 or 4 he's in university
Homelander is badass
14:15
This and the finale are the 2 reaction videos I watch for all reactors. It's the most shocking episodes and the reactions are always best
Butler and Mommy Milk - I love you guys :)
you need to increase the audio so we can watch with you lol
19:04 literally the same thing, both mean "things tend to go from higher to lower pressures"
You three look like demi lovato (Blonde long hair version), Esther Povitsky, and Olivia Munn; btw awesome reaction, subscribed..
Your reactions to that dolphin scene was hilarious 😂
They said all 123 passengers died
Lamplighter was always confirmed to be part of the seven in episode one in Annies ceremony. They said Lamplighter retired from the seven and Starlight was taking her place.
MM speaking Filipino lol..
It’s a little unclear why A-train immediately accused his girlfriend that she told someone. At first glance, it is clear that someone was in the cage, broke out of the cage and killed everyone. Everything is simple.
Or did the Boys leave something at the scene of the murder?
Actually, during decompression, you get sucked out. Not blown.
There is no real difference between getting sucked out or blown out, since the process is air rapidly moving from a dense state to a less dense state, taking you with it. The force always comes from the denser air, so 'sucction' isn't a force but a method.
@@MacLeeland Yes, suction is the method, not blowing.
A lot of people have problems with episode 4 for being to dark, yeah i think they packed to much dark stuff in one episode.
Yees The Female!
The plane scene is so damn disgusting...
Hughie having PTSD
The girl on the right: dont be weird! Like what? 😂
🤦♂️
Mother's milk. They call him "M.M." mommy milk sounds creepy
He could have been honest and saved some of the kids he is just too much of an ass.
But there was no way for him to stop the plane he would literally destroy the hull. Too little surface area and too much force from him.
Sorry don't remember your names but the mint sweater with jean shorts outfit looks so awesome lol. Kind of reminds me of neopets the faerie realm for some reason???? lmao
12:19
Please react to the walking dead series
Should watch the episodes closer together so your memories of everyone are fresher.
Please watch the season 4 finale for my hero! I’ve been waiting so patiently but I’m so excited to see y’all’s reaction!
18:09 ...my name was almost maverick or fox....
No dolphins were hurt in the making of this or any of The Boys episodes. Thank you 🧜🐬
Quick recall: in the first episode they said Starlight came in to fill Lamplighters part because he retired, great reaction ladies
What a recap from Sam 🤣🤣 Butler, Mommy Milk
The Deep has absolutely no luck at all!
Hah yall girls aren't ready for this show 🤣🤣🤣 too pure
Deep is the comedic relief of the show. So pathetic, but easy to laugh at. The actor pulls it off really well.
37:23 "let's not go there"
LMFAOAOAOAOAOAOA
I cant wait for the next!aaggghh xd

Love you guys
They will forever be known as Butler and Mommy’s Milk from now on. 😂
1:09 🤣🤣
My two cents. There are literally no characters in any of the seasons named Rachel so if you have that name written down, cross it off. Can’t help but think of the only famous Rachel in superhero live-action is the character from the Christopher Nolan Batman films who was recast in the dark knight. Also mini spoiler, Mallory will literally be one of the oldest people you meet outside of Vought, because what happened to her involved her grandchildren.
Rachel is Becca's sister, my two cents. -Sam
@@TheReactPack My mistake. Many apologies. I know you guys are constantly watching a bunch of different stuff. She was just a unmemorable character that we never see you again over the next four seasons so that’s why she probably didn’t stick. I have the inverse issue you guys have. I remember everybody’s faces but I can’t remember peoples names for nothing.
No worries! We appreciate you! It takes a few times for names to stick with me as well. -Sam
