- Few prides of lions are as unique and renowned as the 23-strong Birmingham Pride on Ngala Private Game Reserve. This pride carries the recessive genes responsible for white lions. With a white male having recently left the pride, a female white lion and a white cub make up three of only four white lions found naturally in the wild. Join Harri as she spends an afternoon in the company of these spectacular animals.

Wonderful sighting!! Love seeing the Birminghams and the white lioness and cub. Wish the white lionesses white cub would’ve made it. I also wish they would give the white lioness a name. They named her brother.

Although it had been a couple days since their last meal, we can confirm that since filming, this pride has continued to be successful and are certainly not going hungry :)

Is the white lioness mom still around and the other lioness back when her and her sist and brother wher little playing in the riverbed . Shame the white lioness I call her angel lost her white baby but she still has one . Thank You andbeyond for this video .Does my heart good to see them 💓💓💓

Anyone know where the white male lion and his brother ended up? Been so curious about them. Thank you for sharing this fantastic footage! ❤
I saw a viewing of them together. They crossed the river and came across one of the tshockwane males on patrol alone . They attacked him and injured him severely. He hasn't been seen since this attack . But the end of the viewing the warrior tshockwane was coming in the background. End of the viewing. Then I saw a viewing of two tshockwane males , one was the scared up warrior. They were looking like they were serious about something. Then I viewed the white male alone , standing upright but his face was seriously torn up. That was the last time I saw him. But then I saw a viewing of his two brothers dominant over a small pride . No sign of the white brother or the tshockwane males since.
Because that male has reached an age where he has become a threat to the pride, he is spending less time in the territory of the Birmingham pride, which covers most of Ngala
Hoping to one day bring my family to Ngala just for the Birmingham pride

As far as we know, it's most likely only 3. There was an older cub with this pride that unfortunately hasn't been seen for a long time and most likely has not survived.
Great to see White Princess again, and being in good condition! It was difficult to find footage of this pride recently.

Does anybody know who are the dominate males for this pride. What happened to the Ross males? And any info on the white Birmingham male , brother of the white female.
Hi @davekiwiwebb5914 , it seems like the Mbiri males have taken residence in the region and have been seen mating with females from this pride often, even fathering the newest white cub!
They all look so thin, I hope they all survived .. If White Lions are so rare why doesn't someone help? 😥🙏💗
U obviously have never seen a wild lion cause these lions are not thin they are actually very healthy looking
They fight for dominant it starts with there mother tips. White lioness lost her white cub. But another of the lioness have a white cub, it a girl.

Can you look for Osindile the injured young Birmingham male. (Ybm). He partnered up with the Torchwood male last seen near ngala . But its been reported that the Torchwood male hasnt been seen . This is the young male that the Ross males couldnt drive off .
The young Birmingham that joined the Torchwood male was last seen a while ago crossing out of the Ngala concession, and not seen since. This is an area we don't have access to, and the sedentary nature of young male lions means that they could have crossed huge distances in the vast Kruger National Park looking for a place to settle

hi @kevinpittsful, those two young males moved into a territory that is beyond the borders of Ngala Private Game Reserve a while ago, and haven't been seen on the property since.

Hi @reginaldjones996 although there are a number of white lions in existence, the 4 we are referring to, were all born into the wild, in a naturally-occurring, wild population. It's also very possible that there are more out there that haven't been documented yet!

Hi @helenestrada1913 wild lions like this pride, survive by catching large prey and then gorging themselves until they're stuffed, which will sustain them for a long period without eating. Amazingly a lion can even go a week or more without eating a thing, they're so adapted to long gaps between big meals. We can also confirm that since the filming of this episode, this pride has made more than a few successful hunts, and are thriving.
