Groceries cost keeps on going up n down and can be slightly different for different people basis their consumption. For us we also do ordering in, which is more than what one should usually do, so maybe that’s why
Indeed a great video! The most pressing question came up in the end and the answer would be in the next video 😅 will surely look out for that but if you could, please do suggest… how much salary one should target for considering all the same expenses as you have but with a kid (3-5 yrs) and if only one person in family earns.
Hi Nihar, good question, infact we are planning to make a video on savings very soon. We have a COL Germany video on our channel as well and if you compare costs they have increased in London vs Mannheim. Salaries increased a bit as well but not as much as the costs so in a nutshell savings slightly decrease but we feel it’s not a fair comparison as London is a bigger city than Mannheim and we are choosing to stay in central zones atleast in the initial years. If one moves a bit out to more suburban areas outside London you can save more. Stay tuned for the detailed video.
Your videos are very informative. Can you please tell me if the UK is open to sponsoring visa? I was looking through LinkedIn and thought that in USA there are more sponsorship jobs than UK. I would be grateful to listen to your real life experiences.
US is a bigger economy and plenty of tech jobs where talent is needed. Of course, companies are sponsoring those talents. UK is opening up now to the skilled worker and adopting the US strategy on immigration. You will definitely find many jobs. There are many videos on our channel - checkout the ‘UK playlist’ to find all about Uk visas and how to find jobs here :)
In general energy and rent prices have increased by 10-15%. We have another video on our channel which talks abt economic conditions and uk budget implications
Thank you for the budget sheet and the figures. I think the rent is very expensive in London. Can you not live outside?
Thankyou! Yes you can live outside as well and commute, you may need a cark in that case.
Such an informative video
Thanks a lot!
For groceries if you eat green vegetables, specially indian, the cost would be around 300 to 400 pound , 250 for groceries seems on lower side

Anything above 60-70k is good if you’re coming with family :) You can stay for less but need to compromise a lot.
Hi guys!
So if you compare Germany and uk by your experience, where are you making better savings after all expenses ? Or it’s pretty much same?
