About a minute in, I caught myself moving. I wasn't _trying_ to dance in my chair, it just happened...rockin' back and forth like I was at a Revival! This was a PERFECT way to start my weekend. I had to watch it several times to catch the lyrics...not because they were unclear, but because I kept getting distracted by all the great _instrumental_ work across the board! As for the lyrics, I worked 201 hours of _overtime_ in 2020, so this is definitely a song I needed to hear! My buddy...and mentor...and inspiration...Jason Ricci (the harp player on this track) led me to this album via his own social media. Now, I have one _more_ reason to thank him...and one more band to Like & Subscribe!

Wow! This performance is simply astounding!! All members continuously providing musical input throughout the song and are sooooo right on. The juice provided by guest artist harpmaster Jason Ricci is bitingly edgy and then at one point mimicked so well in response by Ray Tevich on the piano-in between al his tasty organ phases. And Mark Solverson has the nicest, fattest bass pumping that one can hear anywhere in the blues. Short but super sweet guitar solo by Jeff Schroedl--and can't say enough good things about Alan Arber's precision drumming and of course Jeff Taylor's gritty and bombastic vocals. And as in song after original song A5 has recorded-the most clever original lyrics. This ain't your same ol' same ol' blues band and music with the same ol' rhythm patterns. This is NEW BLUES--originals. You fellas are simply the cream of the crop out there today!!! So much enjoyment-goose bumps and chills. You gonna get 'em shakin' B4 they drop dead tonight (Fri July 23 in Oostburg WI from that great band shell and the following Sunday at the Prairie Dog Blues Festival in Prairie du Chien (SW WI)!! Hoping Jason Ricci will stick around after his gig with Lurrie Bell to blow harp with you guys during your later set. Doing this and lots of other songs from your new album being released Sept 3rd. CONGRATULATIONS. I predict a BMA best artist/band 2022 award and more. KB
