That red oil plug needs to be swapped with the yellow plug. The red plug is for shipping so it doesnt leak. The yellow one allows the pump to breathe... that may be why it is failing.

Good catch, I thought this had a vented cap because I have seen some red caps vented on other pumps but this one is not. The seals were dry rotted anyway and needed replaced. Makes me wonder what happened to the vented cap. Thanks!

Great video. My pressure washer looks nearly identical to yours, so I'm very interested in this repair. I was wondering if the cam shaft could have gotten bent from pressure on the pistons due to the freezing.

It doesn't appear to be bent, I think with all the other components being weaker, they would all break first. Everyone that my uncle has seen freeze, he has never seen the crank damaged unless a rod broke and was run. Most of the time its pistons and valves, and sometimes the unloader or valve body. Thanks for watching!!

Excellent video. Great camera work. Narration was outstanding, you introduced information that really shows all the details that should be addressed

@@SABsGarage My pleasure. I hate it when I click on a repair video and there’s no narration and instead it’s some really annoying “music” soundtrack. I also appreciate that you have clear, good quality audio and the volume is at a good level. Your lighting’s perfect. You eat nice tight shots when needed. I know all that doesn’t happen by accident and it can sometimes cause some bothersome delays in your projects. And besides all that you know our subject matter. I’m busy as hell today so can’t watch your other videos but will watch more in the near future.

Great video. I’m thinking about doing this. My issue is there is water mixing with the oil, turning it white. I am wondering what parts I should replace. Maybe the orings on the 6 valves? Maybe the 3 seals on the pistons? I see online this is a water seal kit and oil seal kit. I would appreciate any advice if you have the time. Thanks

Thanks, The oil place for oil to get into the water area is the seals behind the piston. So I would look at the pistons and seals for replacement. I will say it can't hurt to replace all the seals while you are there though. Good luck!
