Actually met Prince's guitar tech at a bar once, supposedly. Way prior to 1999. He told me that Prince said he was his saving grace. To hit those notes just right
IIRC Prince once said that when he was dead, everything should belong to the fans. I don't think he meant it should be *sold to us* by Warner Bros and Sotheby's tho.
@@ThomasOnGuitar Well I put the word out on social media. I'm hoping someone like Joe Satriani who can afford it, might want it, and will use it. but yeah. It's amazing that you can buy your dream guitar only after being a famous musician lol.
If I had a million dollars, I would feel like I was taking a piece of Prince himself and hoarding it away like Smaug. I know it's easy to say "if I had a million dollars," but even if I could afford it without suffering I don't think I'd be willing to take ownership of it unless I was playing in a Prince tribute band. But I spent my whole life learning Dr Fink's licks on keyboards...

I hope a musician who uses it gets it, not some ultra rich collector who puts it in a case somewhere.
Well.. if it sells for 1m, we both know the answer to that one.

Any musician that would use it couldn't afford it. That's part of what makes them musicians... :(
@@KingGhidorah_ lol. I put out word to contacts of contacts, hoping someone like Joe Satriani, Steve Vail, Paul Gilbert, might be interested.
*Buys $1m, Prince Guitar.*
*Hooks it to a $400 signal chain.*
almost nobody who buys it will play it as well as he did or it will sit in a cage and be pointless anyway.
you're gonna pay some outrageous price and never play this thing, It's not worth it.
