- Discovered with some old tapes last month.
Nirvana - O’Cayz Corral - 07/07/89
1. Even In His Youth (instrumental demo?)
2. Floyd the Barber
Unfortunately only two songs are on there as the rest of it is taped over with unrelated music about 3 seconds into the third song.
Didn’t see any of this show uploaded anywhere, so here you go. Enjoy.
Mind blown at this version of Even In His Youth 🤯 Absolutely incredible, thank you so much for this!
Wow I didn't expect to see you here, i think that's like early demo of Even in His Youth or something
@@NIRVANAREMIXES If there's ever any new Nirvana audio or video surfacing, I'll be there 😉 Couldn't click this fast enough!
$4 for The Hipp and Nirvana!!? Wild!
$4 for a show?! what a time to be alive lol
NIRVANA FANS EATING THIS MONTH
Can't help but sing the lyrics to Even in His Youth here, such an underrated song.
really great even in his youth version, sounds like a ballad the band in my wedding shall be playing
Such a shame the rest of the show is missing, but so cool that we at least have these two songs. Thanks for uploading!
Man i forgot about your channel (no disrespect). I used to watch your videos over and over and over again to learn all the Nirvana songs I’ve listened to tirelessly. Just wanted to say thanks, it helped me learn guitar and eventually start writing my own music. Love you dude, jealous of your collections of guitars, haha!
Since your the biggest nirvana fan I know how do u know or where do u find out as soon as new nirvana audio surfaces? Cuz I'm on RUclips all the time and for three weeks I didn't know this was here until now, so next time I don't wanna be late
@@devonjones5200 I shared it on the community tab on my channel when it surfaced.
Are you able to upload the remaining seconds of the third song? Even if its cut off this might be the only remaining recording of the show.
I may have some time to do that later this week.
Nice find! Sounds like a great show.
Thanks for posting. If this actually Madison then I did the live mix on this recording, Bob Wasserman, though obviously most instruments came from the stage itself. I dif not make a board tape that show, was called in the last minute to mix the then unknown band which were in town to record at nearby Smart Studios. I had heard a rumor of an audiance tape but ones posted were from other cities. There is a good video of Nirvana playing in Japan I think around the same time and same line up, pre Dave Grohl that is very representative of my memories of the O'Cayz show.
You are probably thinking of the Apr 6, 1990 show at Club Underground (also in Madison). Nirvana's session at Smart Studios took place April 2nd-6th 1990. No recordings of the Club Underground show are circulating either.
Nirvana recorded at Smart in Madison in 1989 with Chad Channing , only one track made it to Nevermind though
@@gallowspoleAnd Yes Nirvana Played at Club Metro, Chicago, IL On April 1, 1990 then Nirvana Recorded at Smart Studios on April 2-6, 1990 and then played a show at Club Underground, Madison, WI on April 6, 1990.
Which would be with Chad Channing on Drums as Chads last show with Nirvana was on May 14, 1990.
And Nirvana Only Played 4 shows In Japan (02/14/92, 02/16/92, 02/17/92 and 02/19/92) and those Japan shows were obviously with Dave Grohl.
Thanks for sharing!

The Nirvana collectors community thanks you for this!
Great finding ! Thanks a lot
My two music worlds collided just now lol. Two of my favorites
The Hip opening for Nirvana! I do hope there is a photo of both bands together! Thank you for uploading this! I do hope someone out there has another recording!
It was Nirvana opening for the Hip. Gord Downey said that after the show he went to go meet Kurt and found him passed out on a pool table lol.
This is true. Nirvana opened up for the hip on this show. Gord wrote the song "Don't Wake Daddy" partially about his interaction or lack there of about Cobain.
I have been looking for any type of audio or footage from this show for years. Does anyone have any audio from when the Hip played?People had no idea what they were witnessing here! Absolutely legendary! Wow!
skibidi kurt cobain anyways thank you for sharing this it slaps so hard
Awesome
It's so cool that something new from Nirvana comes out every now and then. Thank you for uploading 😬🤟
How did you find this? Stashed away in someone's basement or attic? Lol thanks
