Brilliant! Your discussion of the modern atrocities touched my heart: it is sad that the same humanity that produces Schweitzer and the Buddha can produce such evil. But that is the human. The constant accurate history with a personal touch on this channel is both informative and entertaining. Keep up the good work.
I've been really enjoying your channel since discovering it through your videos on the historical characters of Total War: Pharoah and their real stories. I'd love to see some similar videos on the upcoming mesopotamian factions being added and just your general analysis of the update if you have the time. Thanks for all the great videos!
That is intentional lol. But for those whose minds travel in that direction, I have a more directly relevant episode from a while back: ruclips.net/video/ucUd2sMFaBA/видео.htmlsi=U4suz2Wz1LjTKedp
As we will see, Aramaic will become the general language long before the fall of the empire, so it makes sense that modern descendents would hold on the the ancestral language, with just the natural language drift one expects over the centuries.
Fabulous narrative! As customary...

Funny enough, we now speak Aramaic
