Day 10 | Backpacking Europe | Castles in Romania

After 3 nights in Bucharest, Caleb and I headed to Transylvania on Day 10 of our Europe backpacking trip. This region in central Romania is known for its medieval towns and castles.
We visited two of Romania’s most famous castles: Peleș Castle, a fairytale-like royal summer retreat surrounded by forest and still adorned with period décor; and Bran Castle, the country’s notorious vampire lore also known as Dracula’s Castle. The castle got its fame from Dracula’s legend written in 1897 by Bram Stoker and later on made into a film by Francis Ford Coppola
The beautiful medieval town of Brașov will be our home for the next few days.
