Just ordered one last night it comes in Tuesday. I’m super excited! Just got into rc cars. Bought my kids some mew4 1:16 cars and they loved them so I bought the traxxas raptor r to play with them and it was insane. Always been a fan of drag racing and hotrods so I bought the C10. Can’t wait!!!

A lot of drag race guys warm the tires by doing a burn out on a small piece of carpet. It stops the tires wearing as much as doing the burnout on the road.
Impressive for 2s, B. It a Chevy & its beautiful , not to mention its Purple. It almost was but , was offered a xl5 pede @ a ridiculous price & after im done modding it , i'll be back on track, literally. At todays Slash Drag prices it may become a reality TY 👍
I just bought a drag slash, tested everything on a stand first. I took it to the street and I launched it 3 times and on the 3rd time, the spur gear was shredded. I am not very happy about it but now I am not sure if I go metal or plastic. any help is appreciated.

I have the same one completely stock with a 3s lipo battery stock gearing my engine never overheats but I have rolled it a few times I have never put it in drag mode it does about 70 plus
I love this truck. I have a black one. Im having trouble with the motor over heating. One pass and my motor is real hot. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Id deeply appreciate it.
Well first I will ask a few questions and give you a few suggestions to the best of my ability since you are there and I’m here and can’t physically see the truck, what kind of battery are you using? 2s or 3s? Are you running stock gearing and stock tires? Have you checked the gearing to see if it’s properly meshed? How hot is the motor? Can you touch it for longer then five seconds or is it too hot to leave your hand on it at all? What is the discharge rate of the battery if it’s not a Traxxas battery? Answer these questions for me and we may be able to narrow it down

Yeah it was only pulling to the right on launch, however when I switched from tsm to drag race mode it threw off the steering trim completely even though it was centered with tsm initially, I pretty much had to give it full left on the trim to get it to go straight and then recenter it once I went back into default tsm, I was babying it too lol, I didn’t want to wreck out and scratch the body up lol, I probably could have launched it straighter with a little more on the wheel, I’m really liking it a lot, I’ve got a lot of comments about the Losi dragster, so this may not be the last dragster on the channel lol, I may play around with those shocks too and see what I get, thanks for watching 👍
If you are talking about it being out of trim and pulling off too far to the right, that’s what it was the trim was really off, in drag race mode there is no Tsm when you drive, only when you brake and when you switch between Tsm and drag race mode you will need to re adjust the trim each time, it’s a whole other animal in drag race mode! I never realized how much Tsm helps until it’s gone lol, spinning out and taking off from a dead stop to full speed with 3s takes practice to be able to go straight on launch, even with a 2s, it’s an awesome truck though! It’s like a slash on steroids! Traxxas had race events at the Traxxas headquarters ( retail shop ) where I bought mine, I wanted to go and race! That would have made for some awesome content here on the channel but I had to work 😩😔
@@rcreviews9894 yes it’s insane how much it helps. Bought mine Friday and took it Saturday to my local indoor track and blew the spur gear out. Somehow the motor screws came loose after installing the 29t pinion. Luckily it’s a cheap ass part to fix
Changing a pinion to a smaller one to run 3s is new to me lol, you may gear down if you are running bigger tires but not gear down just to run a 3s battery and yes you are right most kits come with a extra pinion but it’s a high speed pinion, bigger one, not smaller one

Yeah that’s what I was worried about, especially on the road I was driving on it isn’t smooth at all, don’t want to wear the tires out

I’ve ran mine on 2s and 3s and never had that happen, bad luck I guess, I would just replace the stock gear, just make sure your mesh is right🤙
@@rcreviews9894 Its been 20 years since i meshed a pinion and spur but gonna use the trusty paper unless some new better way came out.

At my track all brands use their Gyro assit it makes very competitive and fun

You need the Bluetooth GPS !!! if using the brake with no TSM don't punch it but give it 3/4 punch !!!
