    1800 dollars NZ. My dad is the owner of the business, I make them. The work in this product is done in a very unique way and alot of handwork involved. People think its expensive, but by the time you've finished tuning an real ''EFI'' scoop, you have spent well over this price. And that aint the end of it. You still have to continue alot of maintainance on the EFI BIG DADDY didnt let his name land on this product for no reason. Go to the site for more info.:-)

    The scoop is stamped Garlits, but it's NOT hand built by Don Garlits. The SC500 is built in Australlia. I know because I spent a year trying to get one for a car I built. It is a finely crafted piece of art and worth every penny of the $1600.00 it costs!!!

      Scoop is Hand Built in New Zealand by Als Blower Drives by agreement between Alan Shadwick and Don Garlits.

      You can build a real fuel injection lid for that price.

    Was watching fast & furious . When do the flaps open on the blower
    . He had it tearing down the track on timed run, and the red flap weren't open.
    When does this happen ? On full throttle

    • @vanwilhelm613
      @vanwilhelm613 8 лет назад

      they don't open much but it could be a fake blower too, the mad max one was fake

    • @noahgaray7923
      @noahgaray7923 8 лет назад

      In real life, the flaps are connected to the throttle linkage on the carbuerator(s) so when you are wot (wide open throttle) the flaps will be wide open.

      In real life this type of scoop is better referred to as a "blower hat", would not be on a carbureted motor. This is a reproduction of the Enderlie "Bug Catcher" type of fuel injector that was very popular in to the 2000's in drag racing.

      that was definitely a fake blower in some scenes of Fast and Furious you can clearly see it a few times and it's well documented by people that built the cars and drove them

      I don't think the modular v8s make enough power to put the blowers that use these on...but im sure someone has tried

      So you think it's sad that Big Daddy the man that invented the rear engine dragster and a lot of other Innovations in drag racing and all racing Sports is that who you're talking about really really, more like it's sad that you know so little about a true legend of drag racing. Educate yourself before you flap your lips
