I actually dig those mental games you’ve presented. I’ll try to remember them and apply them. Out of all the things you mentioned, the mud trails is the one I find the suckiest. Your night hiking thought of “This is the same trail whether it’s night or day” is one that I’ve said to myself over and over again. The way I trip myself up sometimes is with thinking about the number of animals that are nocturnal where I live.
I'm so glad you like them! I agree mud is the hardest for me too I think. And yeah, the nocturnal animals are completely valid. I try to remember they'd rather not run into me either.
Great insight! Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge. I really enjoyed my night hike on the AT at Blood Mountain this past weekend, happier to do it in the dark than doing it in the rain.
Absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound in your bucket list.
I never thought about how walking to the side of a trail would affect the environment. It makes sense that it would. I'm going to try to make sure I don't do that.

kinda both! Started out as SOS, evolved to being pronounced "Sauce" and now I just kinda go with that. SOS was for "soup on sand" spilled my last dinner at a sandy creek side and had to eat some of it.

Loved your phrase, “stay loosely tied to lofty goals.” Brilliant way to deliver great advice! I won’t forget that one.
I can't take credit for it, wish I could remember who to credit but it's stayed with me too!
Fantastic tips, you presented this so beautifully and professionally! 👏👏
you are always so kind! thank you!

I would love to make it to the Himalayas! Hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for watching!

I hadn't either until someone pointed it out to me once!

Thank you so much!! I wish I could make it down for trail days. Thanks for all you do for the community!
Which Nitecore headlamp do you use for night hiking? The Nitecore NU32?
I actually have the Nu25!
Sos, or sauce? And why?

Night hiking is just silly imo
sometimes it's the best option!
