We go into the other ways we used to get internet which all work perfectly when reception is available. This is when Star link comes in, check out the video here ruclips.net/video/mN1hwLYkkH4/видео.html
$170/mo isn't a whole lot more than what I pay at home for kinda crappy internet tbh 😂 thanks for the review I had been wondering how it was! ❤ travel safe
Oh we have been thinking of doing that, sounds like it’s definitely worth it. We didn’t realize how much power it would used having the inverter on for that long also doesn’t help the power draw
Oh no way, that’s sooo cheap. We are in Australia so it’s AUD. It’s definitely expensive but in super remote areas there are no other choices if you want to get internet
I am in Afghanistan and just decided to buy one But here only one conpany have the device at 1600$ 😑 Can anyone help me that where i can buy the device.

No problem, pretty sure they have a home plan which is cheaper then this. Ours is the roaming package.
Thank you ! Short and sweet 🎉
You’re welcome 😊
Converted mine to 12v. Halved the power draw. Also flat mounted. It is always on even when driving.

That was very very helpful, thank you very much
No problems at all 😊
How does it work with streaming live to youtube? Cheers 🍻
Not sure, we haven’t lived streamed with it but it uploads videos pretty fast and we have had many Zoom calls with no issues
@@wadeanddani cheers, happy travels 🍻👍
I managed to get the dish at 225€ and the Roam plan for 59€. It's definetly not the same as my 1gb fiber connection but for traveling is perfect!
Oh wow that’s a good deal. It’s faster than most internet providers here in Australia, which is crazy
What was your average power draw like when the Starlink was in operation (stationary)?
I don’t the number of the top of my head but it can use a bit if we are not careful. Specially if it’s cloudy and we are not getting much solar
what starlink plan did u subscribe to ?
We had the roam one.
Does it continue working as you move?
We have never tried this, our set up doesn’t allow for us to be moving at the sometime. As long as it can see the sky it could work I guess
@@wadeanddani thank you
I've seen other videos that say that it works while driving. Up to 85 MPH, it states.
That's madness.. 170 a month.. Is everything in America soooo expensive. Here in Southern Africa we pay around 50 usd a month for it
Oh no way, that’s sooo cheap. We are in Australia so it’s AUD. It’s definitely expensive but in super remote areas there are no other choices if you want to get internet
Thats the voice of MATT HARNACKE !!!!
The pollution of the starry night sky is my only issue
Oh yeah, I haven't thought of that.
Make the sattellite black. Issue gone. Vantablack. Also check out aubrey de grey

Thats crazy. We bought ours from starlink.
On the Starlink availability map it shows that Afghanistan doesn’t have starlink coverage and doesn’t look like it ever will
You live in a van for content
No, we lived in a van to explore Australia
Worthy
We think so
bruh 450 we paid 600
Oh no, I think they might be having a sale now that they are cheaper again
I mean it doesn't always need clear skies, i still get 170 mbps
Yeah maybe it depends on how heavy they are. We might have had some mountains around at the time as well
Still expensive
Hopefully it becomes cheaper or we have other solutions but it works great for us
Clear skies required, huh? Thats kijda lame at over 100 a month. Ill wait til ryan reynolds signs on and gets it down to 15
We didn’t have any issues with clouds. It was great for us. I would say thou, if your in a gully the mountains can give you some issues
pro- what else is there? Nothing, especially at that price.
To expensive?
